We had a rest at the end of August 2024.
pluses
The cost of the tour is not high; perhaps one of the best beaches in all of Turkey in terms of water color; perhaps one of the best hotels in the resort town of Oludeniz there; the first line from the sea; a fairly large green area; an unobtrusive animation team of 6 people; for the most part delicious food in the restaurant (I will write about the disadvantages of food below); most of the vacationers are mature Englishmen, there are no native "fraternal" types from the word "at all" and finally there are few small screaming children. Alas, the pros end there...
the CONS
Number. The air conditioner in the room is installed above the bed (if it works, it blows and it's very cold, if you turn it off, it's stuffy). Faulty equipment in the room. During the week, the water from under the bathtub flowed twice - both times, a plumber was called. The shampoo was not poured into the dispenser, but at our request to pour it, we were resupplied (attention!) they answered quite seriously that "the shampoo is over, but body gel is quite suitable for washing hair." There are no Russian TV channels, although there are 2 Ukrainian ones. For some reason, the safe in the room is for a daily fee. There are no dressing gowns. A kind of paper-like slippers.
restaurant. A lot of cats asking for food and sometimes jumping on the table. There is no freshly squeezed orange juice. Egg powder scrambledags. Mashed potatoes taste the same from some kind of powder. The juices for breakfast are made from something that is not clear, it was not possible to determine the type of the original fruit. For some reason, milk is only on the diet table, respectively, only low-fat. The waiters don't speak or understand Russian at all. Some of the young waiters are trying to be "friendly" with the guests.
territory. The hotel is very tired. For some reason, there are cats everywhere. Broken shower water diffusers by the pools. I haven't seen them repaired at least once during our vacation. You need to get the hang of taking a shower - splashes in all directions except on you.
animation. Invited artists or a visiting show - no more than twice a week, the rest of the evenings the animators entertain the guests with the help of other guests and for the money of the guests themselves in bad English. The main animator drinks with the guests every day, without hiding at all. This is the first time we've seen this.
BARS. Alcohol is only local. Imported for an additional fee.
PARACHUTISTS. Parachutists are constantly landing on the only existing passage to the sea (I'm not joking at all!), so when heading to the sea and back, you constantly have to look up at the sky so that you don't suddenly get saddled by celestial adventurers who are in the process of landing. Parachutists are probably one of the main disadvantages of this hotel. Jumps, flights and landings go on non-stop all day long until late at night. Dozens of parachutists are constantly and simultaneously in the sky above the hotel, making a jump from a certain neighboring mountain. After a couple of days of rest, you start to think seriously about the topic: what happens if such an extreme falls on your head?
beach. The hotel does not have its own beach. There are only signs that a certain group of sun beds is for hotel guests only. The mattresses on these sun beds are old, dirty and all different (some especially unpleasant ones are made of dark brown artificial leather). An existing beach is an urban or public beach filled with locals. Turkish families and their women, who bathe next to you in black clothes, look especially colorful on it. Here, on their mats, a meter from your sunbed, they are constantly cooking, eating, swaddling children, screaming and smoking non-stop. There are especially many of them on weekends, when they come to Oludeniz with large families from remote mountainous regions of Turkey, where there is no sea. Swimming in this crowded sea involves constant monitoring of the safety of your belongings. Every morning and every evening, large ships crowded with tourists pass by, from which Turkish patriotic songs are loudly heard throughout the area. The pebbles are very hot and sharp, so you definitely need special shoes.
BOTTOM LINE: A VERY POOR IMITATION OF A 5-STAR HOTEL! I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING AT THIS HOTEL FOR DISCERNING TOURISTS WHO HAVE SOMETHING TO COMPARE IT WITH. YOU DEFINITELY WON'T LIKE IT. THERE ARE NO 5 STARS HERE AND NEVER HAVE BEEN!!!
2 weeks flew by unnoticed. The sun beds on the public beach belong to the hotel and it is very pleasant. Favorite place by the fountain. It's very beautiful and quiet there in the cradle, despite all the noise and noise of the wind.
