Strangely, I liked Petrovardinsky fortress more. There is less comfort and more visitors. But you can visit. There is a lot to see.

A beautiful fortress at the confluence of the Saava River with the Danube. Buildings of different times are concentrated in one place. The first fortress of the Roman Empire, which was further rebuilt and completed until the beginning of the 20th century. There is something to see and touch the architectural evidence of ancient history.
A place with its own history, the fortress is very impressive. We walked around the fortress all day, although we planned to visit several other places. The military museum in the fortress itself deserves special attention.
A stunning ancient fortress, you can climb everywhere, no restrictions, admission is free. People are sitting right on the walls, enjoying the views and socializing. A very pleasant place, near a large park, nearby there is a zoo and the streets of the Old Town with a lot of shops and cafes.
The heart of Serbia. The Serbs are proud of the fortress. She won many glorious battles. A beautiful view opens from here. A part of the fortress with a defensive wall has been preserved. The main value of the fortress is two temples, functioning temples, in the original Byzantine style. It is rare to find temples of such construction anywhere. The museum of military equipment from the First World War onwards is also interesting. There is even a rocket launcher that shot down an American stealth aircraft during the bombing of Yugoslavia by NATO countries.
A cool old fortress in the old part of Belgrade on the banks of the Danube. Very beautiful views of the river and the city. There are several wonderful museums. A huge open-air exhibition of armored vehicles (free!). There is a large modern park nearby for walking. I strongly recommend that you come here first!)
We were in the summer of 2017. Historically, it is a very interesting place, there are many tourists, but there is dirt and garbage all around, especially in the park. There are no toilets. It's not cozy. The state could also put in order a place so visited by tourists.
It is definitely worth visiting at least once! A beautiful park. Old churches under the wall. There are good places for photos, against the background of the fortress walls.
