No, we are not fans of eating a lot, just serving each dish for about an hour, whether it's a salad or even coffee. The food is average, the prices are overpriced, due to the location and interior, it's all clear, but come to breakfast and spend 3 hours of your life? People who have come to visit this country, hoping to "see the city", your personal and planned time is threatened by a meal in this wonderful institution.
The administrator was not in place, I had to wait, there were also no positions in the menu. The advantages include live music and a view from the window.

The pepper sauce, caramelized onions on the meat are icy, the side dish of peas and mushrooms is not seasoned and overexposed.The staff is slow.The bathroom is poorly cleaned

We came to Minsk for the weekend, went to have lunch with the family, on Saturday it was a day off when there were few, very few visitors.
The service leaves much to be desired: it seemed that only one waiter worked, it took 20 minutes to wait for the waiter's attention to his table (I had to go to the reception desk behind the waiter). As a result, the waiter, who was annoyed by the visitors, dropped a bottle of wine from his hands when opening it, dousing the visitors.
The dishes began to be served 50 minutes after the order was accepted!!!! The next course was served after another 50 minutes. At the next table, the customers were also very indignant about the long wait.
Borscht was ordered from the first courses: this is a distant reminder of borscht, where cabbage, cut into strips, and carrots, cut into large cubes and two veins of meat floated in light pink water. The dish is completely empty, not brought to taste.
For the hot meal, we ordered pasta with porcini mushrooms (this is what it says in the cafe's menu card, on the website it says simply "with mushrooms": they brought "pasta" with champignons. To our question "where are the porcini mushrooms?", the waiter replied that they are also "present" in the dish. We probably didn't notice them.
The only dish that could be given a "4" was steak.
The result of our lunch: 2.5 hours of waiting time, a spoiled mood and an empty stomach.
The management of the institution needs to read the reviews of visitors. And it would not hurt at all to test the professional knowledge and skills of the kitchen staff! Of course, this is advice to the management, who themselves have professional knowledge in public catering, and not just money for a business restaurant.

It used to be our favorite restaurant in Minsk. But there are changes. One of the most surprising was the decision to replace the neat rag napkins on which the appliances were placed with paper sheets advertising ala cheap fast food cafe. When updating the menu, some dishes were removed, it so happened that some of them were our favorites (chocolate tart, eggplant). The waiters and even the hosts (!) with haughty faces, not a trace of a smile (except for a few waitresses, who are always happy to leave generous tips, it's like we “owe something” to everyone else).

A beautiful fashionable place near Victory Square. I liked the pizza and tea. We were sitting inside, it looked more comfortable on the terrace in the warmer months. The service is quite fast and very polite.

We celebrated a corporate party on 12/29/12. Everything would be fine if it wasn't for the program! 30 rubles per person for the program and it was expected that it would be great! But! It so happened that the Birch tree is not far from my house, and when I went out to the store, I decided that I would eat there. Otherwise I wouldn't have gone there.
Here's what comes across right away:
1. No hospitality and culture of welcoming guests. There is an administrator at the entrance, when I came in, she did not pay any attention to me (in general, zero, as if I were an empty place), was busy with other guests, did not even say hello (M-multitasking is not about this administrator at all). To the right of the entrance there is a closet, closed, and you are standing, waiting and thinking, whether to take off your jacket and open the closet yourself (but somehow inconvenient, you seem to be visiting), or to pass right in your jacket (by the way, later I saw how the girl who was sitting at the next table took the jacket and they carried the closet, which once again emphasizes the unprofessionalism of the administrator), well, I waited until they paid attention to me, took a jacket and held it. And it was possible to say hello, smile and make it clear that now the guests will be conducted and approached. The mood was already spoiled, but ok.
2. Waitress. Very average. Arrogance showed through. I had to make a basic order + order food with me, I asked if I should place an order with me now or later, she smiled as if I had asked something stupid, and said -as you want (and I know that in some restaurants they take the order "with them" at the end so that the dishes were as hot as possible when you pick them up). In the Birch along the way , they did not hear about it
3. The most cringe: when I ate, the receptionist or the second waitress (not the one who worked with me) came up to me and asked if I could count, I said yes on the card. And then this waitress was gone) it took 4-5-6-7 minutes, it was like I was forgotten. When she ran past my table (not paying any attention to me), I asked her if I would be discharged soon, she said without looking at me, "Yes, yes, yes," and ran away. It was as disgusting as possible. No "sorry", nothing at all. By the way, the restaurant was not full, it's good if at least 50% were guests, but it was empty, while there were a lot of staff.
4. The first waitress came up to me and asked if she could count me)) I was already angry and indignant, to which the first waitress said that she didn't know at all that I should have already received the bill. I was further indignant, but she hid her eyes and looked at the floor. No one apologized. It was disgusting.
5. When I came to get a jacket, the "receptionist" who works at the entrance again did not pay any attention to me – she was busy with the guests who came. (I had to pick up my jacket from the closet). I stood and waited for her to be free, but she went to show the guests the hall. I asked, "Should I take the jacket myself?") but the staff did. She silently returned to the closet and gave me the jacket-she DIDN'T say A WORD!! No one apologized, no one said goodbye. If you are an administrator, you should be able to multitask, and you need to hide your emotions.
In general, 3 people worked with me (for a half-empty hall) and all three are not professionals at all. They left a disgusting impression and spoiled the mood. As for food, it's fine. Just fine, but no "wow". There are restaurants around with much more delicious food and normal service. I don't see any reason to go to the Birch Tree anymore or recommend it to someone. Any visitor will immediately notice a huge discrepancy with the external beauty of the cafe and the work of the staff.
Not a bad menu. The choice is good. It was a pity not everything was.. I would have taken 0.5 stars for this...

In honor of DR, along with breakfast, the staff came out with candle lights and congratulated. It was very pleasant. They asked for dinner from the chef.
