It's not great as an independent location, but if you're driving somewhere nearby, then it's worth stopping by. It's quite interesting in itself, it's not the most convenient for movement, but it's the best for photography. I especially like it when the greenery wraps around it, it's something unreal.
BESLETSKY BRIDGE (TSARINA TAMARA BRIDGE)⛰7 km north of Sukhum there is one of the oldest buildings on the territory of Abkhazia: the Besletsky Bridge. Also popularly known as the Bridge of Queen Tamara.
A one-time attraction for cool photos.
It will be interesting for tourists coming to Abkhazia for the first time. However, the place itself is more suitable for the definition of a beautiful photo zone. The bridge is compact, spanned by a local river. Almost all tourists who come here, especially with small children, mercilessly trample, jump to test the strength of the bridge, take bizarre poses, forgetting about safety. Locals say that the bridge is about to fail to withstand such an onslaught.
I advise you to drive a little further into the gorge to see the dam with the power plant of the tsarist times. A modern hotel, restaurant, and recreation areas are equipped next to the dam. There is excellent parking, a very clean designer toilet. You can walk through the territory to the dam and further along the river along the gorge. The walk takes about an hour. Entrance to the territory is paid. 200 rubles per car.
