Bad Belarusian pancakes!
I rarely write reviews, but here it is necessary.
I didn't like it:
1. The establishment is in the basement. You can see it in the photo. But I think if 5 stars means the climate problem has been solved. But no. It was hot and stuffy
2. We waited 5 minutes for the table to be cleaned. A sign of a good place, aren't there any places? No, it's just that 2 waiters can't handle the service. There were a lot of empty tables near the wall for two (there were three of us). After we sat down, the table next to us was cleaned for another half hour. Well, we waited a long time for the order to be accepted. Also, while we were waiting, a woman came up to the bar and asked when our order would be accepted? (The bell I missed)
3. Okay, this would all be tolerable if it weren't for the food.
- there was borscht. Ate warm. It tastes like 3 out of 5. Again, it is tolerable. But!
- they ordered draniki. In a five-star restaurant of national cuisine. 3 servings, 2 classic ones with sour cream. 1 serving with chanterelles. And they were terrible. Truth. We have 4 cities on a trip to BR and in each we ate pancakes and not once. There is no need to compare them here, as they were just spoiled. The inside is damp, the outside is burnt in places. I am attaching a photo.

Result. Maybe we were just unlucky. It was a bad day, the moon was in the wrong phase, the dog barked at the cook, and so on. But the conclusion is this - a classic "tourist eatery". I went in once and never came back - that's how they live.

The food does not match the stated prices. I was surprised how disgusting a pickle can be. A couple of sausage crumbs and some capers with olives. Horror. The salad with the tongue would also be worth refining and adding more language. You need to work carefully on the kitchen.
The atmosphere itself and the staff are good

Beautiful interior, pleasant staff.
We took borscht and draniki. Borscht is like borscht, the quality is normal, like in a canteen, nothing special.
But draniki is a horror! The potatoes are grated on a fine grater, the pancakes are thick, not fried and completely, absolutely, hopelessly raw inside. Rather, not pancakes, but potato pancakes. To be honest, I've never seen anything worse anywhere.
We will never come again and we do not advise others.

This restaurant left a pleasant impression. It is located at the beginning of a pedestrian street and does not stand out in any special way. The main rooms are located on the ground floor. There are only four tables upstairs on the street and we are sitting at one of them. I was pleased with the good and fairly fast service, despite the fact that all the tables were occupied. I would especially like to note the quality of the dishes. I haven't enjoyed eating like this for a long time. All the dishes we ordered are admirable, especially from the national cuisine. It is clear that the kitchen is staffed by professionals who treat their work with great love. I recommend visiting this restaurant to anyone who likes to eat delicious food. I am sure you will enjoy it very much.

We visited this institution.
Located in the basement or former basement of the building, at the entrance you are greeted by a tart stale smell and dim light. The arrangement of the tables is very tight, there is no question of any privacy.
We ordered chanterelle rolls with homemade cheese - not bad, but there was a feeling that I ate bread with cheese and onions.
The tinctures are so-so. When ordering, it turned out that there was no horseradish, it's a pity
For the hot meal, they took boiled pork with homemade adjika and "vereshchaka" from smoked ribs.
Boiled pork is beyond praise - very tasty! But with "vereshchaka" we were unlucky - there is one unfortunate rib inside the dish, the meat from which cannot be torn off and the same sad pieces seem to even be bought. All this is filled with a substance similar to wallpaper glue. The dish included 2 thick pancakes, although one is enough.
Daria was serving, who apparently was in a very bad mood or something happened, because there was no friendliness. As it turned out, she was an intern. I confused the order - I brought 50 ml instead of 100 ml of the drink, I don't know the menu - I went to check availability a couple of times. When asked about birthday discounts, she refused, although even some dessert as a gift would be enough.
In general, the establishment left a depressing state, the mood was completely spoiled.
And the strangest thing is that there are a lot of positive reviews - either people did not visit really decent establishments, or bought reviews.
Writing positive reviews with all the disadvantages is incomprehensible to me.

Soaked through with oil, pale in color and terrible in taste. The presentation is completely unaesthetic. The heather that was taken on the advice of the waitress is edible if you are very hungry. Lingonberry juice and sea buckthorn kvass are the only things I liked.
The interior is ordinary. I don't like this kind of personal stuff, but it's delicious. But the food is terrible. We wanted to introduce Belarusian cuisine and in the end it was a complete disappointment.

A very cozy and nice restaurant. The polite waiter smiled, told me everything, advised me. The pancakes are divine, the liver salad is just as delicious. I really liked the dessert with cherries. A family from Russia was also sitting at the next table, with a boorish and impolite woman who scolded for the lack of WiFi (despite the fact that the SIM card costs 26 b.r. and can be issued in any salon and surf the Internet anywhere without problems) and shouted how bad everything was here, although the waiters really could not to help her (waffle authorization by phone number (RB only)) It is a pity that such people show their character and I am ashamed of them.
Thanks to the restaurant and the waiter for the service, smiles and delicious food. I will definitely come back as soon as I am in Belarus.

The service is good. The interior is good.
But the dishes… It's something. My wife ordered borscht. Liquid, only water, fortunately there was meat. But the taste is very low. I ordered pancakes with a machanka. Everywhere, absolutely everywhere! Machanka is served separately, immediately 3 thin pancakes were anointed with broth and this dish is ready. No meat, no sausages, no creamy broth.
Guys, if you position yourself as a restaurant, then at least work on the serving and dishes. I understand that you live only at the expense of the tourist flow, but sooner or later tourists will start to bypass the institution.
I would appreciate this meal at 10 rubles maximum.

A pleasant and cozy establishment in the tourist center of Grodno. The interior of an ancient castle (or monastery) basement. Classic dishes of the Belarusian national cuisine, everything is high-quality and delicious. The price tag is quite big by local standards (I would say, quite at the level of similar Moscow establishments), The service is good - but not during rush hour, when the staff is really sewn up and simply does not have time to pay enough attention to everyone (and this happens here).
What I would like to recommend to the owners of the establishment is to think about expanding the range of spirits. A large number of delicious distillates are produced in Belarus - from Gomel's "Moonshine" to Grodno's "From Dzyada". I think that Belarusian moonshine would look quite organic in a restaurant of Belarusian national cuisine. And so - of course I recommend you to visit. It's a good place.
