A cool cafe in Baranovichi, which specializes in desserts. There is a wide range of cakes, quiches and classic desserts.
The desserts are fresh and identical to what is available in Minsk from this chain.
There are many places and you can come here in company. There is also a playground for children.
The drinks are good too. We took a milkshake and non-alcoholic mulled wine. Mulled wine is very warming and has a lot of spices.
For desserts, they took strudel and a cake with pear and dor blue cheese.
The strudel is moderately sweet, pleasant filling, baked dough.
The cake is good. The balance of salt and sweetness is maintained. The only thing that surprised me was that in places between the layers of biscuit you can find just grated pieces of cheese directly with mold. That is, it is not something that was combined with the cream, but as a separate layer. The pear is also felt. There is a cool caramelized decor on top, which goes well with salted cheese.

The choice of cakes is excellent. The cakes are good, my favorite kind here is Pavlova. But Baranovichi is about strudel. With cottage cheese, with cherries, with pears. We have been ordering cakes here since the 2000s, when we moved to Baranovichi. The eldest daughter was eating Roly-Poly cakes, now the youngest son is already from Biscitoff.
Everything would be fine, but lately the technology of making your favorite cakes leaves much to be desired.
We ordered it the other day:
1. The capercaillie's nest. It turned out to be as dry as a bast shoe. Flour rounds can be hammered into nails, and instead of the usual walnut, they put a whole forest one. It's an outrage! The taste is terrible! Once we asked to cook this cake without walnuts, to which the manager personally replied that "in no case should you remove nuts, this is a violation of secret technology!" And hazelnuts, then, can be shoved 😐
2. A rotten stump. Dry as a real tree stump. There was a prune inside, which had never been there. Instead of the usual sour cream, there was a nasty butter cream.
3. The monastery hut. More or less tasty, but this is after tasting the first two, perhaps a game of contrast, because it was also a little dry.
A lot of money was paid for all this, but the feelings remained negative. My husband was tearing up and throwing, how so, where to look for good cakes now?!
So with all due respect, please do not lower the bar and do not change the traditional recipes, because the town is small, it is for these cakes that everyone comes here, and if they want something new, they buy it in the same Crown.

In desserts, instead of whipped cream, there is some kind of substitute ("strawberry delight ", like, dessert in a glass; Pavlova, the recipe of which is so far from the classic that it is strange that someone had the conscience to call it that, and not at least "Petrova"). Instead of the traditionally expected cream cheese, there is also some kind of nonsense in the Carrot cake, and it did not work out with spices either. Spinach cake is saved only by a layer of jam inside, the taste of which completely overlaps the taste of the dessert.
3. When ordering with him, the employee did not show the appearance of what he put, gave the packed box, in fact, she could put anything. And despite the fact that the child asked for a piece of carrot cake with carrots, she was able to choose and pack almost the only piece on which there was a piece of nut instead of a carrot figurine. 🤬
Oh, yes, you have to pay for the box you packed it in, too. 50 kopecks is not much money, but it is customary to warn about such things.
About 15 years ago, there was a children's cafe Vanka Vstanka on this place. There were delicious homemade cakes there. It's a pity that these are only memories now.
