It's a great place! Whoever visits Turkey, be sure to visit this fortress! She, like a passing Pennant, was under different flags. The only disadvantage is that not all compositions are open (probably under restoration). Marble sculptures are generally a miracle. You won't regret it!

The main attraction of the city, entrance is paid 750 liras, two in one - a museum of all kinds of underwater objects and a pass to the territory of the castle itself, inside the walls. To the left of the castle begins the most important walking and shopping street of the city.
Inflated ticket price: 23 euros for admission (September 2024)

A must-visit in Bodrum. Not just a beautiful point, but a good archaeological museum. There are architectural finds from different eras that are interesting to consider.
The museum itself is well made and it's a pleasure to walk around.
Well, peacocks :)
It is necessary to go in good weather, in addition to the museum, there are excellent views of the Marina and the city. It's good in the morning until it's hot, or at sunset before closing
A stunning fortress museum for 120 lire. You can't walk around inside, you can go inside everywhere, look at various ancient finds, everything is included in the price. Wonderful views of the city from above. I REALLY liked it, it's definitely worth the money
It looks more spectacular from afar than up close. We didn't go inside, the entrance tickets are very expensive. But the architecture is very interesting.
For two, they gave 240 lire for admission. A beautiful place, the view of the city from above is amazing. Peacocks and turtles move freely on the territory. I recommend visiting before the onset of heat in the morning or in the evening.
A completely horse-like price tag is not for Turks. And its own course.

After visiting this fortress, there are many impressions left! Beautiful and powerful walls, an endless number of archaeological finds. The surprise was the peacocks, who walked freely around the fortress. I even saw a turtle! I advise everyone to visit this wonderful place in Bodrum!

I really liked it, we spent 2.5 hours in the castle. It is interesting to walk around the territory and see the expositions in the historical premises. The ticket cost 350 lire in June 2023.
It is quite atmospheric for Bodrum. In addition, judging by the photos from the past, the museum has been significantly upgraded. Do not lose heart in advance, the goal will help in this - to find the imprisoned princess in the fortress. More precisely, what is left of it (
A very interesting castle, inside the museum of underwater archaeology, where there is a sunken ship, a beautiful view of the bay and the windmills. Do not spare money, and the ticket is about 800-900 rubles, the child is delighted! Peacocks really walk freely on the territory.
Very expensive entrance. I have never seen prices for visits rise so fast

It's probably very beautiful there and the view from there is also good, but 325 lire for a ticket (about 1300 rubles) and 125 lire for an audio guide (there's no point without it, the fortress is ancient, with an interesting history, and not just bricks) still that much
The Castle of St.I liked Petra. The only thing is that in September 2020, part of the territory was under reconstruction. And so the real atmosphere of the Middle Ages. From the towers there is a beautiful view of the Bodrum Bay.
It was October 2, 2020. We arrived at about 17.50, stayed until closing at 19. We just caught the sunset. Of interest: peacocks freely walk around the territory, there is a good view of Bodrum. In the distance, famous mills can be seen on the mountain. There are indoor expositions. There are a lot of amphorae. I recommend it to lovers of fortresses, if you don't mind 65 lira for 1 ticket (multiply by 10 to convert to rubles). You can pay with a card.
