The ancient fortress of Achabeti. It is located on the right bank of the Liakhva River and the right bank of the Tiristskali river on a small hill. According to Georgian sources, in the late feudal era there was a "palace and fortress of the kings" — this was the name of the entire valley. The fortress was famous for its strength. Initially, it was only a tower with a fence, but it was rebuilt several times and became wider than it was before. The ruins are divided into 4 layers of different time. The gate was located to the east. It was first mentioned in the middle of the 16th century.
An interesting place. You can take good photos. In general, the structure has been preserved well, unlike the Kehva fortress, which is also located nearby.
