During the Great Patriotic War, from June 28, 1941 to November 16, 1943, the village of Peresvyatoe was occupied by the German army. In November 1943, 99 Soviet soldiers and partisans died in battles near the villages of Gorivoda, Rebusa, Peresvyatoe, Osovets, Bugrimovka, and the village of Zhary, who were buried in a mass grave in the center of the village.
