The scale is amazing, the expensive unjustified entry from tourists is cheating 10 times for this and it's a shame, a huge crowd of tourists already in the morning, the object is under reconstruction
The museum is small, as is the prison itself. A lot of people were not kept here, mostly debtors. The bug pit is 6.5 meters deep, named accordingly because of the bugs that infested it. Exhibits - shackles, whips, sculptures of guards (with very kind faces :). 2 British spies were imprisoned in 1842 before their execution. Take a walk around the building, you will find a narrow passage with an interesting ending.
A small museum, not expensive, for 20,000 soums. It is interesting to visit, there are manicures of convicts and guards inside the reconstruction, there is even a death row pit. I recommend a visit.
Nothing special: a prison is a prison. No torture devices for you, no imitation of prisoners' moans, as in European castles. Entrance is paid. It would be possible not to go, but why not go? Let's get acquainted with the history of these places.
The object is small: the remains of a pit for prisoners (3-4 meters filled in) and 2 cells for debtors, there is nothing special to see. Only for those who really want to get acquainted. The visit is paid.
