A cozy little airport in the Sarafovo quarter, Bourgas district. City bus 15 runs from the city. Several waiting rooms, lots of seating, cafes. There is an outdoor cafe where you can smoke.
The location is good., there is a cafe where you can have a hearty meal., there is a health center where first aid is provided., the cleanliness is perfect everywhere., the staff is friendly., the toilets are clean., there is a luggage room., there is a mother and child room., everything is fine
It is quite comfortable to arrive at this port, but not very comfortable to fly away. The departure hall is small, queues stretch outside, so it's better to arrive in advance. The waiting room after the inspection is even smaller, even taking into account the smoking area on the street. And the most meager of all the business salons I visited is 4 tables and water. Moreover, it was opened only at our resolute request and after considerable efforts.
We had the misfortune to visit this airport in September 2016. Airport staff dumped all the hand luggage with underwear of a small child on the tape. They stood in a group and laughed in our faces, openly mocking us, the crying child and our reaction to this action. There is a difference between precautions and bullying.
Not a foot in this embittered shovel anymore. Poverty and rudeness go hand in hand.
We flew to Italy that summer, as they say, feel the difference in everything.
The sediment from such a "service" remained terrible, for the first time they encountered this((
I have used this airport many times. It is convenient, but it is far from the top airports. Control and inspection are normal without kinks. The prices in Duty free are really not very low
We were here in 2019 , everything is good and convenient . I don 't know about the fact that they open things and break everything , we didn 't have that . The only and very painful disadvantage is that people from Russia, Belarus, etc. have to stand in queues for control for a very long time , whereas EU citizens pass in 10 -15 minutes. It's a shame, but everything is fine.
I think 3 stars for the comfort of the airport itself and 2 for showing off with the guys from Europe
1 minus - you can't get into the cabin from their dutik - even in a sealed bag - I had to buy a bag and put it in the luggage. After the second inspection.
2 minus - there is no information anywhere about the prohibition of alcohol transportation before baggage check-in. If he knew, he wouldn't be in a hurry to check his luggage. And there would be no extra expenses.
3 minus - now it is not a completely friendly country
It's a disgusting airport. A small, not well-maintained toilet is generally a separate topic. It felt like I was in the past. The staff is not working correctly. In general, it is not a pleasant memory.
I love Bulgarian airports operated by Fraport for the fact that everything is already like at home. At hand, so to speak. Everything is as accurate and accurate as possible
Personally, I didn't have any problems here. Inspection - sometimes they will "feel", sometimes they will check for traces of rdx with a strip. Just like everywhere else. The prices are high, of course, but in my opinion it only makes sense to buy something in Moscow Time. In Bulgaria, it is better to buy alcohol and souvenirs in chain stores.
There is an open cafe combined with a smoking area - this is good, although I have not smoked for 8 years, which I wish everyone.)

An inconvenient provincial airport. Now, of course, it's almost empty, but it's still stuffy there, everyone is slowing down.
The new building was built about five years ago next to the old one, which could not cope with the flow of tourists.
The airport, in terms of convenience and service, is quite on the level.
Entry to the territory for 15 minutes is free of charge.
The attendants at the check-in in the departure area are very zealous, I thought that only in relation to the Russians, until I flew to Moscow at the same time as the flight to Munich. They wool everyone, just hold on)).
Taxi drivers must be ordered in advance, those standing outside the airport building, hoppers.
Boorish attitude towards passengers, especially on departure, malicious shouts, far-fetched claims and remarks. They break through all the luggage with their paws, shake everything, open factory-sealed packages allowed for transportation. In short, the kennel. And there is no need to hide behind concern for the safety of passengers, you can do your job politely and correctly, at the Burgas airport, employees are clearly trying to take out their anger on passengers and demonstrate official superiority.
The attitude is pretty good. They communicate calmly. Clean, beautiful. You can eat inexpensive food and drink delicious inexpensive wine. The schedule is mostly followed. You can get there by bus. Very convenient.

Small, compact, clean. Everything is clear and understandable. In the duty free zone, it is not interesting to buy anything except inexpensive national alcohol as a souvenir or present. Everything else is expensive and there is no choice.
WiFi is free, although it connects from the third time)
Everything is as usual, as at any airport. But after the passage to the landing area there is an outdoor veranda and a smoking room. Prices for souvenirs and products are scrap. In cafes, prices for airports are normal. In general, the waiting period of up to 4 hours is tolerable.
A modern airport, everything is convenient. Only the prices in euros are confusing (in the Duty-free and cafe in the departure area), it turns out to be expensive.
The disadvantage is that bus flights to departures / arrivals are not debugged, and an alternative taxi is expensive
A small international airport. Nearby is the Sarafovo district, now part of Burgas. The area is within walking distance. The exchange rate at all airports is not the best. Duty free only on departure. Prices for some products are high. The inspection area takes up a lot of time during the holiday season and during the holidays.
In Duty Free, the choice is decent, but not cheap. The airport is not big, there are queues for registration and paperwork, we flew from vacation, the mood was good, landing on time, in general everything is fine.
a small airport, there is a cheap top rent-a-car, Wi-Fi is free, but it catches only at one point at the cafe at the airport exit, periodically crashes and works slowly. Gett, Uber is not plowing in the region. Look for information, all addresses and phone numbers in advance. You can take a taxi at the airport, more or less, although the best options in the region are 1.5 times cheaper, but they just can't be found.
A small airport. They work quickly, baggage inspection with a small child without waiting in line. Duty free is small, there is also a choice. There are smoking areas after customs control. The cafe is expensive.

A cozy airport. With a full range of services.
Sometimes check-in is slow. Bulgarians are generally not the fastest in the service. Although in most cases they are friendly.
In the customs control room, you should carefully look at the signs above the booths of customs officers. Where tourists from the Russian Federation can be deployed only for EU citizens. In fact, Wi-fi does not work, which creates great inconvenience.
A modern, recently commissioned airport. A spacious and well-equipped waiting room for people to board. But if you arrive at the airport early, you have to sit next to your things, since there is no luggage storage.
A small airport. Everything is in its place :) The entrance/exit is conveniently organized:There are many doors. There is an opportunity to go outside (cafe) in the departure lounge.
For passengers with strollers, there is a separate queue for the inspection of hand luggage, which is very convenient, it was very stuffy to stand in the general queue for inspection, there is a smoking area, the airport is small
Do not forget that there are open courtyards in the departure hall on the left and right sides - it is always nice to take a breath of fresh air, something else and admire the takeoffs and landings.

The inspection procedure was quick. The taxi driver took the amount 10 times higher than if he ordered a transfer at the hotel.
A compact but convenient airport. the air conditioners are always working. a convenient place for smoking and a cafe on the street. a very nice airport
Disgusting airport!!! Employees at all stages of control, at best, make such a face that you owe them each a million euros, or they are openly rude!!! The priority pass was completely blown away ((( A small hall without a separate kitchen, toilet, etc., but that's not all!!! If you plan to have at least a little snack there, then at your service- salted peanuts in a bag, sweet peanuts in a bag, a nasty old croissant in a bag, salty breadsticks and some kind of nasty goat- that's all the food!!!! But - vodka, whiskey, cognac, wine, beer - without restrictions!!!))) Apparently, to get drunk and forget))) The horror!!!!
If we compare what happened before and now, then this is heaven and earth. Well done and convenient and cheap to get by bus to Burgas. I don't recommend a taxi, it's expensive.
Disadvantages: constant queues upon arrival. There is a long queue for check-in at departure. The lounge is very small and worthless. Wi-fi does not work in the sterile area.
Advantages: small, so you won't get lost, a good choice of perfume in a dutik, a cafe on the street overlooking the runway.
A small airport. There is Wi-Fi, cafes, duty free, a children's room and everything else. Comfortable.

What's good: free Wi-Fi, quick security screening, there are outdoor terraces with food/drinks/ashtrays in the clean area.
What's bad: there is little space in the clean zone, there are no sleeves (only buses), crossing the border on arrival can take an hour or even more.
A small comfortable airport. There are even smoking areas in the departure area. The only drawback is a very unjustifiably exhausting check-out, which I have not seen at any airport in the world.
During the season, there are simply huge queues for passport control and security. A very expensive duty free store. The prices in the cafe are comparable to Moscow airports.
A small airport. There are not enough information boards in the departure hall. Ads are not always clear. Sometimes they are made very indistinctly and quietly. The prices in the departure hall are too high, not adequately high compared to the prices in the city.

As everywhere in Bulgaria, no one is in a hurry. There is always a queue on arrival. Suitcases take a long time to arrive. And so the airport is like an airport. Relatively clean, shops, cafes. Before the inspection on departure, they often send for a bag for small liquids and cosmetics to the nearest souvenir shop. In the departure area there is a McDonald's and a courtyard food court where you can smoke. During the season, you can buy a SIM card from a local operator in the baggage claim hall. Taxi drivers at the exit can cover the price 6-8 times higher than the real one. It is better to look for a transfer in advance, or take a bus to which you need to walk.
