This place is absolutely great. The decor is unusual, but unique. The staff are very friendly and even remembered how I like my coffee and food after only one visit. The food is simple and very tasty, plus great value.
There’s a fantastic view of the river and mountains.
I’m sitting there now writing this, on my second visit. It certainly won’t be my last.
And they have an owl. Who doesn’t like owls?)
The menu was valid as of 12/07/2023
Edit: You can buy souvenirs and local spices here as gifts.
We visited this cafe because we lived in a hotel nearby. The prices were a bit shocking, even compared to the prices in Krasnaya Polyana. There we ate with the whole family at the "Eat and Eat", where we really liked it. For four people in the region of 1500 rubles. In this cafe we ordered two portions of shish kebab plus khachapuri with cheese. Greek salads and sliced vegetables. Children have two portions of baked potatoes, and chicken soup. Two Tarragons and two coffees brewed in Turkey. Two sauces, one white garlic, the second red. Admittedly, the portions were huge. Everything was very tasty. We didn't finish khachapuri and shish kebab. We packed everything else with us. We were shocked that we were treated to smoked meat and a whole portion of khachapuri with cheese from the next feast. That's a pity for such an attitude! In general, everything is very tasty and large portions. A friendly attitude and a certain WOW effect has been obtained! Prosperity to the whole team and generous guests!
PS - Please make a normal toilet!
This is a unique place, one of a kind, the cuisine, the service is super, I have been there more than once and always try to have lunch here, I recommend it
The prices are too high for such a quality of food, flies fly, the food is very greasy, the portions are small. But the cherry on the cake is the waiters, who sit with dissatisfied faces at the table at the entrance, reluctantly serve, dirty dishes on the table seem not to notice at all. And be prepared that for such "service" you will get 10% added to the bill.
Of the advantages, this is only an unusual interior made of wooden figures and faces.
Unfortunately, I didn't like it at all.
We took meat in Abkhazian, khachapur and 2 coffees - 1300 came out.
The portion of meat turned out to be small and it did not seem to be tender enough .
Khachapuri is dry. For the first time during the whole trip, they ate a piece and did not finish eating.
The interior is very strange. The mess is complete.
If you want to try the local cuisine at very reasonable prices, then you are here. In addition to delicious dishes, a very colorful and atmospheric interior awaits you.
The place you want to go back to.
We ordered solyanka, fried eggplants, tribes, potatoes, 2 servings of fried suluguni cheese, a carafe of juice, beer. Everything is very fast, especially cheese. For money, 3200.
As a museum, the cafe looks very atmospheric, although the exhibits are placed haphazardly and the concept is not sustained. As a cafe, it's a little weak. The tables are placed randomly. The service is lame. The staff can't handle even a small number of guests. Hot dishes are served barely warm, warm ones are served cold. Instead of lavash, they brought a small piece of white bread.
Visiting this place was mandatory twice (free breakfast and paid lunch) as part of an excursion to Lake Ritsa, so I did not choose this place.
I'll start with the fact that:
1) The design of the cafe is very strange, someone may have seen a fairy tale here, but I saw a set of incomprehensible elements, here you have garlands, snowflakes, and a poor live owl with whom you can take a picture for 200 rubles (sitting in a trance in the middle of the day, although you should sleep), some statuettes, etc
2) The toilet, as almost everywhere in Abkhazia, is a stinky hole
3) Not delicious food for a lot of money. Breakfast was included in the price of the tour, they brought a quarter of pita bread into which a thick piece of suluguni would be roughly stuffed, there would be a claim not to the cafe, but to the tour desk, which promised pastries, sandwiches, tea / coffee to choose from. For lunch, we ate khinkali (4 pieces), soup (a small bowl) and river trout (300 g) at a price like on the embankment in Sochi!!! - we gave away 1,700 rubles. As a result, we still hadn't eaten enough and at home we had to cook pasta with sausages in a hurry.
4) The guide told me all about Abkhazian hospitality, where is it? I never met him in this cafe or anywhere else in Abkhazia. People are not friendly, not smiling.
To sum up, I do not recommend this cafe. I gave 2 stars only out of respect for my grandmother, who works there. So in a good way it is necessary to put 1.
first, the potatoes were brought overcooked, then undercooked, the meat is normal, there is no sauce, the khinkali is delicious, the service is average
It's a very beautiful place. The interior of the cafe is decorated by the hands of the owner. The scale of the work done is impressive. Delicious cuisine. Reasonable prices. There is a wine tasting.
Good day! This cafe is actually included in the mandatory program of the excursion to Lake Ritsa, so if you take a tour to the lake, you will most likely visit here twice. When we bought a ticket, we were promised a "chic" breakfast, which is included in the price of the ticket (tea plus khachapuri). In fact, we got a quarter of a cut loaf with a piece of cheese stuck in it. It is worth adding that tea is also difficult to call tea. There is also a menu on the table, looking at which you can order something for lunch. The prices, it should be said, were comparable to the prices of quite good cafes on the Adler coast. I would like to note that it is not complete without asterisks and small font: at the very end of the menu it is noted that you will be charged another 10 percent of the cost of the receipt for the service. Closing our eyes to breakfast, with anticipation of a delicious Caucasian lunch, we made an order (lunch is already paid). He should have been waiting for us by the time of our second arrival. In fact, they brought everything at random and it turned out that someone was having lunch, and someone was looking into his mouth.
Our order has finally arrived. Caesar did not meet our expectations at all (we almost did not find chicken there), the pork neck kebab is not bad. Khachapuri turned out to be a simple ploughshare with cheese inside (edible, of course, but not for that price). Pomegranate juice turned out to be a chemical mess, after which it will feel sick for a while... At the entrance there is a chained tortured owl, for a photo of which they ask 200 rubles. We were shocked by the conditions of her slave exploitation, there is no other way to call it. The toilets are in terrible condition.
When we bought the tour, we were promised hospitality and cordiality. And in fact, we got completely different emotions from our trip...
It is a very atmospheric, cozy place. The average check is 1000 rubles. The order was not waited for long for 15 minutes, although the company was 9 people, almost everything was brought to everyone at the same time. Amazing baked river trout, awesome khachapuri, mind-blowing barbecue. Everything is very tasty.
The cafe is not an ordinary one, the owner obviously messed up and decorated it like a museum, there is no living place that there is not something unusual. Food, we took a pork neck kebab, hominy, beans and khachapuri, a boat and compote. If hominy and beans on VKCC are fine, the boat is not remarkable, but the barbecue was a bomb, this is the best barbecue that I have tried in my life, the freshest tender meat melts in my mouth, I found out that the owner does not trust anyone to cook it himself, try it, you will not regret it!
Let's go on an excursion (I look at this cafe in many tours), the food and service are very mediocre, I do not recommend it. It is better to ask the guide in advance about visiting the institution! There is nothing to do here on an independent journey!
It turns out that our family is Abkhazians at heart!
The hostess herself will meet you in the restaurant, and the entire interior, which impresses with its diversity, is the work of the owner of the restaurant!
They will tell you what to order to get acquainted with the Abkhazian cuisine, and also tell you how to taste the dishes correctly!
It's insanely delicious!
We need to develop, we cannot stand still. To add variety to the menu. Put disposable hand towels. Overall, Well done. Venus and Vitaly are trying, but it will be even better if they ask the guests what they want. Good luck to you.
Two servings of hard kebab, vegetable salad, Caesar salad (name only), two carafes with compote, noodle soup (potatoes!!!), two tiny portions of French fries -2700₽. The author probably named this place a museum out of his own greatness. Wood carving is a good hobby, but it clearly doesn't qualify for museum status.
The staff are ordinary people, the feeling that grandma is visiting. The atmosphere is magical, like in a fairy tale. The dishes are different, mostly national.
We ordered trout and salad, everything was delicious
Sooooo strange interior, but the toilet is a separate story with translucent doors.... The smell is also very strange, it definitely won't add to your appetite. The food is normal, but I think the price is too high for this institution. When buying an excursion toRitz, visiting this cafe turned out to be mandatory.....

The food is unremarkable, khachapuri (boat) is made of unsuitable dough and warmed up so that we could not even stir the cheese, it was layers and heterogeneous. The ear is ordinary, watery and a lot of potatoes, baked, trout and meat are medium, not outstanding. Homemade wine is a schmurdyak, already, I think, tourists have learned to understand and will not drink it. Pomegranate juice is clearly not from pomegranates, sweet is not clear from what swill. The waitress was told about the juice, she said she would ask the hostess, but there was no answer. I went out and told the woman, apparently the hostess, about the juice and she began to say in a rude manner that it was pomegranate juice and nothing more. I do not recommend this place from the word at all, to self-respecting tourists who understand delicious food and drinks just past this institution.
They cook very tasty, at home, the portions are large, a cozy Caucasian cafe. I really liked the tkemali sauce, I recommend it , I've been through it in many places there is something to compare it with, they just smoked this sauce. The waitresses are very polite and pleasant girls. They treat each client with care
Homemade wine is just terrible, khinkali is terrible, hominy was brought with the wrong serving. In this place, only the interior is normal. The service is also lame.
THE HORROR! You will not visit this institution voluntarily. But if you are a tourist who took an excursion, then the visit is irreplaceable. Since this is part of the route. Naturally, when the guide told you so colorfully about how delicious it is here and you, being hungry, of course, order more, hoping to try Caucasian cuisine. As a result, complete disappointment and plates of half-eaten food. The first dishes were greasy, the fat was floating on top in a centimeter layer. Baked goods with old cheese, inedible. Khinkali... This is a failure...It was unclear what kind of dough the dumplings were, the filling very vaguely resembled meat. Heartburn is provided. The whole group was in quiet shock and remained hungry.
It is now called a Surprise. We waited a long time for the waiter. The cheese in the Greek salad is incomprehensible. The trout was not bad in the batter. The smoked meat is delicious. The potatoes are wonderful. Khachapur was very big with not tasty cheese and thick dough. Terrible baklava. The tea is so-so.
Pros it's convenient to stop by on the road, the view is gorgeous, you can go to the toilet without fainting :).
I didn't like the food. We took a barbecue, quite hard. Khachapuri is like a cheese tortilla. Cheese sandwiches are just bread and cheese. We paid 1,500 for lunch for 3 people.
The food is not bad, BUT the staff works very slowly, they carry everything for a long time and clumsily, and generally pay at the checkout where there is a constant queue
The food is disgusting, the prices are like in space, it is impossible to eat, khinkali has never tasted worse in my life, the guide is in cahoots, their names are signed on checks, they wanted to buy condiments, a worm in a pack, positive reviews if they only print themselves, do not go in any case, do not believe the local drivers and the guide!!!
Disgusting food. Everything is overcooked, the oil flows down in streams. The wine is powdered. The juice from the pomegranate is some kind of chemistry, the juice from the tangerine with a bunch of sugar is also chemical. The price tag is too high for this food. It's long, expensive, and not tasty.
The interior is strange, maybe someone likes it, in my opinion it's tasteless.
I do not recommend eating here! Heartburn tormented everyone afterwards, even those who do not have it.
The worst food in all of Abkhazia
Instead of khachapuri, I got a loaf with a thin layer of cheese and a baked egg ,
Olivier is potatoes with carrots and peas, French fries are raw, it's impossible to eat dumplings at all!
In general, I do not advise you to go to this institution!!!!

Some advantages!
Delicious food
Prices are below average
And most importantly, the whole cafe is the work of one person! It's incredibly beautiful there! It's just gorgeous. I've been looking at these carved wood paintings for exactly an hour.
There are many places where we managed to eat in Abkhazia, but here is the best place!! The most delicious juicy kebab!!!! And satsivi and khachapuri will lick your fingers! Local wine is also bottled here. I recommend it!
One of the worst places I've been.
The food is terrible, I don't even want to finish eating. Half of what was ordered remained uneaten.
They cook for "fuck off", apparently they understand that everything is passing through here.
There is a very unpleasant smell of manure on all cafes, because bulls and cows graze nearby.
The prices do not match the service.
If it were possible to put a minus, I would rate it at -5
We ordered a shish kebab, it was over-salted, khachapuri in Adjarian old (old dough, little cheese), the only thing was delicious lemonade in a glass bottle
I wouldn't have come here a second time
The prices do not correspond to the quality of the food at all
