Had a fantastic experience at Zarafshsn cafe! The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the service was top-notch—friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Very delicious beef soup and beef pilaf! My friends and I have ordered the Uzbek soup (beef soup) three times and we still decide to enjoy it tomorrow. I also recommend Shuvit oshi, it tastes well with the special cheese.
Also, the air conditioner works well and this restaurant holds a good dining environment.

This is one of the first retaurants in Khiva, it's run by nice, well experienced family. The location of the restaurant is marvelous, just close to tallest minaret of Khiva.

All the places in the fortress are cute, and it's also delicious. A good selection of dishes, the prices are typical for the Old Town. But it's really delicious. We took caesar, a mix of dumplings and pilaf. I liked everything very much. Unusually tasty tortillas.

We were at the restaurant on October 4, 2024. The food is normal, but the service is negative and at the same time 15%. Everyone is puzzled by the preparations for the reception of groups, they do not pay attention to individual visitors for a long time. There are a lot of waiters, everyone runs between the tables doing nothing and constantly talking on the phone. One waiter petted a stray dog and then took the dishes to the customers, thank God not to us. Our waiter was just chewing gum, it's good that it didn't fall out of his mouth. The establishment is located in a 17th-century building, if my memory serves me correctly, After the first visit, we only went here for lunch and dinner. A separate ➕ for manta rays! We stayed at the hotel next door. It was the first place of eating in Khiva, and as often happens, the best. It is the format of a street cafe with its price/quality ratio and an adjustment for tourism. The "Fresh" salad turned out to be the best in terms of ingredients. Tomatoes, cucumbers, onions - everything is super. Although of course not the cheapest 35t.s, pilaf at 40t.with the most adapted to tourists (min fat). Beer at 40t.s. Liked it very much, although I write from memories. We visited many places of Uzbekistan in 10 days, but looking at the photo, we immediately remembered this wonderful cafe.

A nice restaurant in a great place, right next to the walls of the madrasah and the minaret. Come there for dinner, sit down right on the square, the lights will turn on when you are there and you will enjoy the view. Long service, napkins/plastic bottles are flying outside - the waiters don't care..You're sitting in a pigsty. I don't even remember what kind of food there is.. How 'impressed' was the service and the setting. We were at the beginning of May at lunchtime.
PS The waiter (17 years old) preferred to communicate with me in English...the Russian does not understand.

In the end, we came back here anyway. The interior is very pleasant. I liked the mantas, assorted different barracks - in the sense of dumplings)). The pilaf was not bad, but for our taste, Khiva cuisine is almost devoid of spices, so we did not take an encore. The claim to chebureks is too thin a layer of meat.
