In old Cairo, decay and dirt, many hotels are "killed". And the service is lousy. This hostel was at least like a normal hotel, and the service is better. There is a crisis in the country, we understand everything. But at least here people are trying to do their job well. It was clean. Everything is old, but it worked flawlessly. And the breakfasts are better than in other hotels where we had to stay in Cairo.
I've never stayed in a hotel like this before. This building has never been renovated since it was built. The threshold at the entrance to the bathroom crumbled to dust underfoot. I almost fell face down on the bathroom floor. The shower is a very strange design, they did not dare to use it, since it was not hot outside in winter. Everything is very dirty and smoky
