The first time I bought a hazelnut and caramel tart here, I wanted to eat it at home. The seller offered a package or a box. I chose a package, but unlike the seller, I did not know that the tart has very thin caramel. When I came home, I saw all the smeared stuffing in the bag. Unpleasant. We could have thought about the buyer and offered the box ourselves.

I wanted to come in and cheer myself up on a cloudy day with a cake with hot coffee. The choice on the New Borovaya is not small, but attention immediately fell on Cakes by.
Why, in fact, the score is 1 (although I would like to put 0).
1. The atmosphere resembles a gateway. The first impression is created by the music- Miyagi? Are you serious?)
2. Staff. The girl at the cash register seemed to get up to work the first day. If you are a pastry shop, it is clear that desserts make your image and first of all you need to teach them. She couldn't say "b" or "m" about desserts. A girl with shoulder-length blonde hair in a spikelet, if you are reading, learn what you are working with, so as not to further lower the status of the institution :) Even I, a simple man from the street, initially studied your Instagram and already knew the ingredients of the desserts that I wanted to take- and you, working there, unfortunately, did not:)
3. I wanted to order herbal tea. It was not available, although the person in front of me took it and did everything for him, it turns out very interesting.
4. Coffee is a separate moment. As a person who understands it, I know that a 350 ml cappuccino is prepared on a double tab. The barista, without hesitation, did it on a single holder.
5. The dishes on which the dessert was served, along with a fork, are dirty in the leftovers, it's ironic that it could have been even worse, it would seem.
6. But it turned out it could! The barista started talking on the phone right at the workplace with a friendly escort "to have a drink."
In short, I do not recommend it.

I was in Novaya Borovaya on business, I wanted coffee, the choice fell on Cakes.by I do not regret anything, an amazing atmosphere with music from the well-known Måneskin, delicious grapefruit tartlets, not burnt flat and a very nice and friendly barista, if there was an opportunity to put more than 5 stars, I would.

I would like to give 5 stars for all the good things that the guys are doing, but there is one nuance that periodically upsets me.
I'm telling you:
I come and want to drink lemonade, I don't like anything offered, but I don't despair and ask to make lemonade from other ingredients that are definitely available. At the same time, I understand that this is an additional job for the cashier (you need to somehow carry out this operation). And I say, "Let me pay more than this drink is worth." However, I get rejected.
I understand that there is a menu and everyone is trained to make drinks according to it, but for example, I do not like the drink and I would like to change it slightly, just change the ingredients to similar ones (let's say I am allergic to rosemary and so on). Is that why it's so hard to do? Replace one ingredient with another. And at the same time get more revenue + a loyal customer who will return more than once. With all this, I ask you to do it culturally, I'm not being rude. I always wear a mask, say hello, say goodbye, thank you for the drink I made.
Am I asking for some unrealistic things? What is the difficulty? Why is the service in our country at the level of "as I will be"? It would seem like a trifle, but in fact I wanted to drink a drink, I came here on purpose, offered to pay extra for my efforts, but in the end I just wasted my time, did not get a drink, I drove gasoline in vain, the mood did not get better.
On the good side, there is one girl who works there - she is just a smart girl, because she always makes concessions and does what I really ask. Because she understands what she is doing and what profit it will bring. Although in fact it seems to me that she is just a good person :)
Well, in general, despite what I wrote above, I still like this place, it's just that now that there are employees working here who do not agree to deviate from the menu, I just don't order anything. And I will continue to do this, only from that particular girl I am ready to take drinks and everything else. And I myself understand that this is partly a crazy idea, but I want to achieve my goal - namely, good service.
Cakes.by - anyway, thank you for what you are doing. Great job, really. Without hinting at anything specific, but in general :) I like this place and I want to keep going there!

One of the best pastry shops in the city of M. Every birthday I order a cake from them. Grapefruit tartlets and eclairs are love from the first bite, and now my son can't live without cupcakes! After the opening, it was quite a pleasant place. But over the past 2 months, at least 3 times in the morning (at different times and days of the week) I came across signs "recalculation before 15.00", "acceptance of goods", etc. And 2 weeks ago at 7 p.m. the doors were simply closed and the lights turned off without any notifications. If such huge breaks are the norm, then please include this in the work schedule so as not to mislead.
The changed quality of coffee for the worse has already been mentioned below.

The coffee is disgusting. I love watching baristas make a drink and this time I did it for a reason.
The espresso for my drink boiled for more than 40 seconds. The milk has been boiled over, the foam is 0.
The coffee machine is all stained. Is it really impossible to keep your work area clean if it is open to the eyes of visitors?
I do not recommend visiting. There is a huge selection of better places on Novaya Borovaya.

The smell in the coffee shop is unpleasant, it was not clear at all whether it was dumplings or fried meat.
The establishment is not closed during acceptance: should I observe pallets and an empty storefront? Is this a pastry shop?
If so, it is also very interesting who chooses the musical arrangement in your institution. Some kind of Russian rap with mats.
