We visited the Carpe diem restaurant twice during our trip: first when we arrived in Brest, when we were looking for a place for dinner, and again before leaving. We liked the cozy atmosphere and the spacious hall with lots of seats. The food was excellent — we tried borscht, tongue and bruschetta, and all the dishes met expectations. Cocktails also deserve a special mention: they are especially pleasantly refreshing on hot August days. If I find myself in Brest again, I will definitely come here again. I recommend this place to anyone who appreciates good food and atmosphere.

A very good city cafe. For a particular restaurant, there is a lack of some explicit idea in the interior or kitchen (one name is not enough). Unobtrusive, not kitsch, without pretensions. Extremely attentive staff. The dishes are delicious, not small. I liked that there is a good selection of smoothies, lemonades, milkshakes! You can sit down with a view of the pedestrian Sovetskaya. High sofas - you can't see the neighboring tables!

In general, we were satisfied, the food was delicious, we took a burger, borscht, solyanka, pasta with seafood, rolls. There is also a disadvantage in the service. At first we sat on the veranda, waited, waited, no one came up, did not bring the menu, although people were eating at neighboring tables. We decided to go to the main building, where the menu was immediately brought to us and the dishes were served quite quickly.

I have visited this place several times, what can I say:
The food is delicious and simple.
You can only find fault with Caesar, who has not been cooked like this for a hundred years. Chopped cabbage noodles and chicken pieces + crackers. It is worth reviewing the serving of the dish. I'm sure it will be much better
The waiters can not cope with the work, the order is taken a long time. Tables are dust-free, no one rubs them on the street
I have to wipe the dusty table and the same chair with my napkin (by the way, the chairs look tired)

We only had breakfast at this place because we were staying at the Persia Hotel. And breakfast was included in the accommodation.
There are 2 sets to choose from for hotel guests: porridge, coffee/tea, orange/apple juice, cheesecakes/a plate with scrambled eggs, sausages, beans and salad. Everything is delicious and fresh,
The service is fast. The Manuk waiter is polite and attentive.

The place is pleasant, located in the center of Sovetskaya, easily accessible, lots of seats.
The atmosphere is pleasant, the music is not too quiet and not too loud, the interior is not too flashy, comfortable seats with cushions, which I really liked, you can adjust for yourself, there is also a summer terrace.
Prices are higher than in cafes, but also lower than in restaurants.
The staff is neatly dressed, well served 👍
The drinks and food are super, I'm just delighted, as far as I know all the dishes are made absolutely manually and sliced and sauces, up to and including mashed potatoes!
Pizza and pancakes are just fire, I really liked it, I also took different hot dishes a couple of times, too chic! They cook fast enough, despite the large number of guests, thanks to the chefs!
I recommend it, I'll be happy to come back myself🥰

We were with our family at the beginning of April: two adults and two children, everyone liked it. The interior, the atmosphere and the dishes, everything is fine! The only thing is that the waiters should be even more attentive to the visitors, so as not to look out for their waiter for an additional order for a very long time. Recently we came here, decided to see what and how. We ordered two salads and an Old Bobby beer. We were not warned that one of the salads (with beef) was spicy. And in the salad with white fish and shrimp there were three shrimp with unpeeled tails (why should I put my hands in the salad with sauce?).The beer felt like it was diluted with water, as they had already drunk it in Minsk in another institution.
In addition to everything, there is almost no light in the toilet, it feels like it is more for a club or a bar, it is dark all around. The impression of the place is not the most pleasant, it is unlikely that we will visit it again.

Among the advantages, a wide variety of menus will appeal to anyone with different tastes, a pleasant atmosphere, it's nice to sit at a table by the window overlooking Sovetskaya Street. Of the minuses, a disgruntled waitress served, tired and unfriendly. We ordered 2 dishes, they were not served at the same time, we waited a long time for the order, the meat was a pork medallion, it was tough.
The coffee was very primitive, for the same price there are places with more delicious coffee!

I was poisoned by salmon tartare, I strongly advise against it.
In general, the establishment leaves mixed feelings. Apparently, the institution is trying to present itself as a restaurant, but it feels like something more like a cafe-canteen. It's noisy and not tasty. Perhaps we were so "lucky", but this place was recommended to us, and in the end tartarus asked to return very soon. There have never been such stories before.
