The Cathedral of the Diocese of Polotsk. It is located in the very center of the city in a picturesque place, with a wonderful view of the Western Dvina River. The cathedral was built in 1761-1777 in the Baroque style. In Soviet times, the cathedral was closed and converted into a sports hall. It was reopened in 1991.
The cathedral is in a good (very good for me) place. Episcopal services are often held. The priest in the cathedral sings beautifully (without exaggeration). Even non-believers or weak parishioners (well, like me, for example), entering the cathedral, will stay there for more than 5 minutes. It is a pity that there are not as many ancient icons as we would like. Basically everything is new.
