The beach is not well maintained, everything has been since Soviet times. Of the advantages, only the sun loungers that are put up in the morning by hotel workers and cleaned in the evening. There are no toilets, no showers from the word at all. There are no trash cans, there is not even water to wash your feet after the beach, as well as one dressing room) The advantages are only nature.
Only hotels near their territory are engaged in landscaping. Spot construction without any architectural permits, I think in ten years they will still be engaged in landscaping and demolishing what they have set up, but it will take a long time because of the pile of ships.

The shoreline is long and wide. As soon as you descend from the embankment, there are very small pebbles (like coarse sand), closer to the sea the stones are much larger, in the sea they are quite large. It hurts to step on, it's better to buy special slippers. The beach in novaya Gagra is very dirty. It is either not cleaned at all or cleaned very very badly. Everything is strewn in cigarette butts, plastic and glass bottles, cups, bags, rusty nails, etc. are lying around. And all this has clearly been lying for a very, very long time. Because of this, it is very unpleasant to be there. The locals shout right and left that "these are resting piglets"))
There are sun beds and umbrellas (200 rubles each), there are bungalows (1 thousand) for the whole day. But everything is old, the mattresses in the bungalow are torn. Compared to the beach in staraya Gagra, it's just heaven and earth (in staraya Gagra, the equipment is newer and the beach is clean!!!Apparently other vacationers are there :))
There are no showers, no faucet to rinse your feet after the beach, no toilet. There are changing rooms, although they are also very ancient.
There are 3 times more vacationers compared to the old Gagra.
There are entertainments in the form of mooring boats, they invite you for a walk, a banana and a "pill", a jet ski.
Compared to the beaches in staraya Gagra, the tour is very sad: dirty, everything is older, cafes and restaurants are worse.
We suffered for 3 days on this beach, then we started going to old Gagra every day and enjoyed it. It's good that they discovered it for themselves

I went twice (10 years ago) and in 2024 and both times were sick, complete unsanitary conditions, at customs when people from Russia come in, all healthy, when they leave already 60-70 percent, everyone is sick, fever, vomiting, malaise, if you are lucky not to get sick, then it is better to leave at customs in masks so as not to get infected.

We had a rest in the middle of July and were just laying tiles on the embankment opposite the Orchid Hotel. I would like to enjoy the sea, and not listen to the tiles being sawed and breathe this dust.

I liked the beach as a whole. Among the advantages - there are cabins for changing clothes, a pleasant depth of the sea, a gentle descent. There are lifeguards, sunbeds, even paid ones and umbrellas.
Of the minuses - ubiquitous traders, inconvenient descents to the beach, large stones on the bottom.
Recommendations - take drinking water with you and do not forget aquashuzas.

They ride scooters and boats very close to the shore, where vacationers swim, it's scary to sail further 5-7 meters from the shore, therefore. In addition, there is an unpleasant smell of gasoline. People came to breathe the sea, and not that's all. Even lovers of paragliding immediately land literally between vacationers. In general, it is not always possible to relax. At the same time, the beach is quite clean, no glasses have been seen, and there is no garbage lying around either. You can always book sun loungers and an umbrella - there are no problems with this. I liked the embankment - it's a pleasure to walk in the evening when the heat subsides. You can rent ottomans and sit by the sea, enjoying the sunset.

4) the beach is clean enough, it is clear that they are watching, but by the evening a lot of garbage remains from unconscious citizens.
