For the first time in Almaty. We visited the central museum and were very satisfied. Everything is at the highest level, interesting exhibits. Everything is clean and the lighting is great. The staff is very responsive, especially grateful to Olga, she was on duty that day, as it turned out, she is also a restorer of clothes in this museum. In general, everything is great, I definitely recommend you to visit!
The museum staff are very friendly and helpful, they talk with pleasure about the exhibits and history. A visit to the main 4 halls costs 500 tenge, a visit to the golden hall costs 1500 tenge. We managed to visit only the main 4 halls, but we were also satisfied, a very informative and quite large collection of exhibits. Everything is very well maintained, beautifully decorated. I recommend you to visit.
Good afternoon, Dear Museum Staff!
The whole FAMILY came on an Excursion to learn more about the HISTORY of KAZAKHSTAN!
The EUSCURSION started on time. The guide ALISHER conducted THE TOUR for US IN A VERY FRIENDLY AND INTERESTING WAY WITH DETAILED EXPLANATIONS! IT WAS VERY INTERESTING AND INFORMATIVE!!! WE SINCERELY WANT TO THANK HIM FOR A GOOD, INTERESTING TOUR AND PLEASANT APPROPRIATE SMILES !!
WE WISH HIM GREAT SUCCESS IN HIS FURTHER PHILOLOGICAL WORK, GOOD HEALTH AND HAPPINESS IN HIS PERSONAL LIFE!!!
FAMILY FROM SIBERIA!
I lived in Almaty for a week. The first day in the city turned out to be rainy, so I decided to go to the Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The building itself is very beautiful. The exhibits begin at the entrance to the square in front of the museum. Tickets are very cheap, about 150 rubles. The ticket to the golden storeroom is more expensive, but I decided to go. You can't take pictures in the pantry, but they will give you a guided tour, even if you came alone))) The exposition is small, but it's worth a look.
The museum is located on two floors. There are many interesting exhibits telling about the history of Kazakhstan. Very friendly staff. The signs are in two languages: Kazakh and Russian. They may have already appeared on others, because there are a lot of foreigners.
I recommend this museum to visit..
I was visiting. We decided to go and see, learn the history of Kazakhstan. Extensive halls, huge collections of the peoples of the world, a lot of information, rare specimens of dinosaurs, there is a hall of the peoples of the world, which describes the way of life of the people, costumes, kitchen utensils and much more. the Hall of Military Glory. Whoever will be in Almaty, be sure to go. You will not regret the time spent.
We were with my family in February, the ticket prices are reasonable, the interior is clean, the exhibits are interesting, the caretakers in the halls are very pleasant. Unfortunately, she did not ask for a name, but one of them said that if you put your ear to the cannon, you can hear the hum of military aircraft. And indeed!
She took a great picture of us under the dome, thank you very much!!!
The only drawback is that the museum is not adapted for disabled visitors - there are no ramps, we were with the baby, we had to leave the stroller at the wardrobe and carry the child in our arms. I wish you to correct this nuance, and get better and better 🥰
We really liked the museum! Classic, in the best traditions, the Central State Museum is a solid, with a rich exposition, located in a huge beautiful building, with silence and coolness in the halls, with the smell of history, with carefully preserved and detailed descriptions of exhibits telling about the history of the Kazakh land from the most ancient times, about the history of the formation of the nation, about education and The development of the state is exactly what one of the oldest and largest museums in Central Asia should be. Interesting, informative and diverse expositions - paleontological, archaeological, historical and ethnographic, anthropological, historical, artistic. We took individual excursions in the ethnography hall and in the "golden" hall. In the ethnography hall, the guide gave us an interesting and very informative tour. It is difficult to navigate in this hall without a guide - the hall is large, a huge number of exhibits from various epochs and spheres of life of the Kazakh people. Unfortunately, we do not know the name of our wonderful guide - thank him very much! In addition to the main historical information, he told such a lot of interesting details - about the symbolic meanings of the elements of national patterns, about the deep meaning of national women's jewelry, musical instruments, household items and clothing items, about the sacred meaning of the elements of the yurt, about the types and purpose of carpets and chests, about the peculiarities of the mentality and worldview of the Kazakh people, everything and not list it! In the small "golden" hall, where the stunning beauty and elegance of gold jewelry are stored, the most ancient of which the Kazakh land has preserved since 4-5 centuries BC, there was also a very interesting excursion with such amazing, simply fantastic stories about the circumstances of the discovery of gold treasures!
The museum has a small cafe and a souvenir shop. In front of the entrance to the museum there is a cozy square with rose beds and benches in the shade of trees.
A wonderful place! I definitely recommend you to visit! And I wish the museum development and prosperity!
We expected more. It is not possible to form a more or less harmonious idea of the history and culture of the people from the exposition, but I would really like to. Dinosaurs, yurt and war are, to put it mildly, not equal categories, which by and large exhaust the exposition. For the most part, there is no dating on the exhibits. You can look into the yurt by sticking your head through the entrance, but you can't go inside. One of the advantages is the QR-enabled audio guide. I would like to wish the museum staff strength, good luck and all the best in improving the museum's exposition.
It is an interesting museum, you can learn the history and culture of Kazakhstan from dinosaurs to the present day. There are a lot of different exhibits, and large stands, but something modern and interactive is missing. There are also small souvenir stalls with handicrafts. Fits well into the atmosphere of the city. It is a very interesting place, and the museum building itself looks beautiful. It's worth a visit!
This is a modern, spacious building with a peculiar national architecture that is impossible not to notice. Inside, the vastness of the halls, their design and the variety of exhibits from various historical eras are also striking.
I visited the museum with my grandson, and everyone found a lot of new, interesting and informative things for themselves.
The contrast of the January weather is frosty in Astana, plus 8 in Alma-Ata. The ongoing conference in the center of the museum has done its job - the perception of the presented expositions has become more interesting...
A small but informative museum. An excellent historical exposition with interesting exhibits. A curious hall about the independence of the republic. There is a wonderful guide for the first hall. There is a buffet with delicious rolls. The Anthropology hall is open on a separate ticket.
I really liked the museum, I recommend everyone to go to the hall with treasures and gold. If you read all the signs carefully, the tour will take a couple of hours. But unfortunately there is no audio guide, it would be great to make one.
There are very few people. Definitely +! I didn't get on the tour. But I listened to the guide on YouTube.
The expositions are interesting, but some raise questions from a historical point of view. If you read the texts. But without the rabid propaganda of hatred for the past history. I wish you to cherish history and culture further!
If you have time in Almaty, you must! Interesting, on a large scale. It is necessary to visit all the sections: there will be a complete picture of antiquity and modernity.
This is one of the main attractions of our city! Both as an architectural building and as a historical one... You can learn a lot of interesting things by visiting this museum. It will take more than one day... It's beautiful and interesting! Field exhibitions are often held.
I recommend it to both the guests of our city and the residents!
The museum is beautiful, the exposition is magnificent)everything is gorgeous) there is an opportunity to plunge into antiquity, and go through all the stages of the formation of Kazakhstan, the paintings are interested))but) the staff is not friendly, and in the anthropology hall (commercial) the guide explained nothing, said that the tours begin every hour (but no one talked about it) I wish prosperity to the wonderful museum and goodwill and smiles to the staff
We liked the museum very much!!!
We ordered an excursion with a guide, who instantly immersed us in history. So competently, intelligibly told about all the subtleties of people's lives. Answered all the questions that arose. Special thanks!!!!
I really liked the museum itself, spent a lot of time in it.
The staff is polite, responsive, attentive. Thank you so much for your work!!!!
On January 31st, students of the 5th grade of Umka leaders schools visited the museum. The tour was very interesting and entertaining. We were able to get a good look at the exhibits , clothes , blades , carpets . It was very exciting , it helped to get to know the story better . It was very interesting there, I will definitely visit this museum again
An atmospheric place. There are a lot of interesting things to see. Other others. The only thing. A little bit. Outdated. I would be on the spot. Did you change something? You leave there forever in a good mood.
We recently visited the museum, everything is very beautiful, it is clear that the management will improve its appearance every time. But something was still not taken into account.
Since I have vision problems, it was a little uncomfortable. What kind of inconveniences did I encounter in the museum? 1. There is no non-slip tactile marking on any step.
2. There is no railing.
3. The guide is not always audible. It would be great if they made a q-cod that you can scan and read or listen to the information yourself. Many museums around the world practice this, even in the museum named after him. Kasteev has this function.
4. You can also add copies of exhibits that can be touched by people with visual impairment
Many thanks for organizing the "Night at the Museum"! The museum is decorated with paintings, in the rooms there are large collections of art objects and fossils from the bowels of our earth! I was very surprised by the room with prehistoric finds from the time of the dinosaurs! Cleanliness and order deserve special respect for the service staff!🔥👍
A wonderful museum that conveys the spirit and customs of the Republic of Kazakhstan well.
All the major milestones of the history of Kazakhstan are reflected in it.
I really liked it!
6 halls with different themes. You can not buy tickets for everything, we took a full package, included 2 halls with a guide, they tell us well. You can also take excursions to other halls for a fee, we did not, we were limited in time. Everyone should visit, both locals and tourists.
It is a very informative, good museum. A great place to learn about the history and culture of Kazakhstan. I was with my family and school-age children, everyone really liked it.
A nice little museum. A great place to learn about the history and culture of Kazakhstan. The museum is decorated with paintings. I really like this museum, I advise you to visit it.
We visited the Central Museum of Kazakhstan. Interestingly, excursions can only be purchased in a certain hall. There is no sightseeing tour of the entire museum, but it's a pity. We were particularly interested in Hall 2, the exhibits were signed, but we would like more interactive stands. The museum is worthy of attention, it is a very spacious and beautiful building. We went to the museum, because it was raining, it turned out not in vain!
A beautiful museum, big if you gather, but take a guide the cost is only 1000 tenge (200₽) and the entrance for adults is 500 tenge (100₽)
There are a lot of interesting and informative things!
Visiting this museum for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised by the breadth of the exposition. The museum staff tried to tell about the exhibits. However, in one showcase, along with household items of the last century, for some reason there were bowls of the Kapchagai factory. And in this case, they just couldn't comment
I advise you to visit this museum. Rare expositions are collected there. You plunge into the mysterious atmosphere of the ancient life of the Kazakh people . The tour is conducted by young boys and girls who tell in sufficient detail and interestingly about the history of the Kazakh people. They answer the questions quite patiently.
We were with my sister at the museum at the open day, thank you for providing such an opportunity to visit and see the museum for free, a lot of interesting and informative things, I recommend tourists and students to visit
At first glance, it looks a little eclectic, since the collection contains exhibits of zoological, archaeological, paleontological, ethnographic, historical and works of art of various directions. It is required to visit. I would especially like to mention the halls with additional pay-per-view exhibitions, golden and anthropological, very informative.
The museum impressed with its beauty! The guide talked so interestingly about the history of the country, culture, that I wanted to listen and listen. We successfully got to the concert dedicated to Kazakh-Korean friendship - amazing! I would like to return to this museum again.
In the last century, this institution was a frequent visitor to school programs. The main feature of the museum was a pavilion with panaramas, slides of dinosaurs were shown and told about their life. Now this is a window into a story that is not a little important, which is sometimes forgotten how people lived in the last era. Recently we visited this institution and took our children and were guides telling them what they once told us in childhood. There are many museums in Alma-Ata that honor individual stories, and naturally this is a pleasant time for memories and replenishing knowledge.
