Cervinia is a magnificent place. The Matterhorn is always beautiful. White apartments are located in Cielo Alto, less than a kilometer from Cervinia. However, if you go to the city, then downhill, and back up the hill. There is a bus running. But unlike other areas, you have to pay for it. The ticket is 1 euro 10 cents. The situation is good for skiers. In the morning, you leave the hotel, get on skis and drive along the highway to the city. There, the lift is 300 meters away on foot, but also slightly uphill. You can go down the highway right up to the threshold. There is a ski room. There is a ski and boot locker for each room. The shoes are hung on the dryer inside the locker, but there is a disadvantage - the dryer does not turn on. There doesn't seem to be any electrical wiring to the boxes. We were drying our shoes in the room. The owner Ettore, upon arrival, told everything in detail and explained, well done. We stayed here for 7 nights. The room was cleaned once during this time and the bed was changed. The area for skiers is very good, you can go to the lower Valtournanche valley and across the border, to Switzerland, to Zermat. A bus runs from Cervinia to Valtournanche for 2 euros about once an hour. A taxi costs from 7.5 to 10 euros per person (eight-seater cars run). The cost depends on the occupancy. In good weather, all three areas are open, and you can ski around everything. We were there when the wind was strong, up to 90 km/h, and the whole top was closed. When Cervinia was closed, we took a bus to Valtournanche. There are very few buses for such cases, people were suffocating. One of the disadvantages is an expensive ski pass. For all three districts - Valtournanche, Cervinia and Zermat, 336 euros were paid for each in 6 days.
As a result, it is a beautiful area, but it is expensive to ride, paid buses and frequent strong winds.
