A good location , a tolerable repair , but the dishes either do not understand what they are cooking . Well, for example, mashed soup with wild mushrooms, champignon floats as a decoration)
Mussels in a creamy sauce with a crispy baguette - mussels are there and there is no sauce (which is traditionally at least a third of the pan to dip the baguette in it), so slightly on small mussels.
I ask the burger if you bake the buns yourself, yes they say, but I didn't specify how fresh they are)))
In general, the chefs stole something or we were so lucky or we were spoiled by higher-quality establishments.
The prices are Moscow, the dishes are simple as in the dining room. I almost forgot the menu- it's just a disgrace - it's disgusting to pick up a scuffle, torn, taped on both sides, tin, how can this be allowed, it doesn't fit in my head.
But the view from the window is just amazing.
And don't be surprised if guests will smoke a lot and often at a table next to you, despite the fact that you are with children.
It is not forbidden, so it is absolutely necessary.

We were advised this place and a group of guys and I ate there literally every day, from morning to night. (the service function on the beach is very convenient) everything is unrealistically delicious!!! The portions are large. Cocktails are just top. Very beautiful! Nice music. Definitely - I recommend it! I just fell in love with it instead of 🥹🥹🥹 I want to go back there again 🥹💔

An incredibly beautiful restaurant by the sea with gorgeous sunsets. I was celebrating my birthday. Thank you for organizing such a beautiful table, even though we were an hour late, the staff tried to please all our whims. Everything went the best way! I will definitely come back here and advise my friends. One of the best restaurants in Sukhumi.

To my clarifying question to the waiter: are giant mussels kiwi mussels, I received an affirmative answer. As a result, the declared giant mussels turned out to be ordinary Black Sea mussels worth 850 rubles for a very small pot. For comparison, the average cost of such a dish in cafes and restaurants in Sukhum, at a level identical to a Seagull, is 500-700 rubles! At the same time, the yield of mussels is almost 1.5-2 times higher.

Unfortunately, there are only 4 more or less decent establishments in Sukhum and Chaika is one of them. You have to go here... with a view, it's gorgeous... but the service is just the BOTTOM)

The food is so-so. We ordered pizza, duck salad, pasta with dumplings, cappuccino soup, mushroom soup-mushroom puree. Only the mushroom soup and salad were delicious, the rest was not finished. Pasta is pasta with pieces of dough and three shrimps, pizza is four cheeses only on a tomato base, cappuccino soup is sprinkled with cinnamon, so you don't feel the taste, it feels like you're drinking coffee with shrimps on the bottom. ))) The chairs are low, you sit hunched over, the back is small, you can't reach it. We decided to have dinner with my husband in the evening, but unfortunately, we got to the event in the hall, sat down on the veranda. They warned us that the wait would be long, so it was, but there were no more options and we stayed.
The noise, loud music, the milling of people nearby, who were standing almost on their heads behind their backs, was annoying, but.. we knew there was a banquet.
I asked the waiter girl to roast a medium rer steak, she asked "what kind??" and then said that she did not promise, they say how it would turn out, they always cook differently and cooks can't control it. Very interesting 😂 I said OK, you can be a medium, but I asked that the meat was not dry and overcooked. As a result, the steak came full of shoes, there was no opportunity to call the official and "appeal" it, they did not pay attention to us, the banquet is in the first place, the rest are not interested, apparently. The wait was long, I was hungry and ate the meat. But such a good thing should be returned back, because it's a horror. I've never seen such dry meat in a steak before. It was not chewed, bitten, cut or swallowed.
Drying steaks to the state of a shoe is an indicator of incompetence for a restaurant of this level, as well as not knowing at all the degree of roasting meat to the waiters and telling the visitor - well, how it will turn out. All the other dishes ordered were also so-so, on solid 3, where there are 3 shrimp in salads and a bunch of leaves even without sauce.
The view during the day is probably beautiful, the interior too, but the food is no more than 3. Not tasty.

Of the advantages: the restaurant is pleasant, the view is gorgeous
From the cons: from what we took, tempura shrimp are delicious, but the burgers are generally disgusting, no sauce, no taste, everything is cut into huge piles, it is impossible to eat it, no grilled shrimp, fries are withered and without salt, but khachapuri is delicious
We will definitely not return to this institution anymore

I will not recommend your establishment to any worthy acquaintance, much less to a restaurateur. The service is separate, the quality is separate, and when there is neither one nor the other, such efforts and expenses on the external image go to 0.

We agreed, we came in a good mood
But! No
We wanted to take coffee with us and go to the sea to wait for the opening
I offered cappuccino in a plastic transparent glass (which is not intended for hot drinks) I offered oriental coffee instead of cappuccino (thanks, but no)
The music is loud, what he says is not audible
My friend tells me that this music is already annoying me. Let's go to the sea (wait for the opening without coffee) and leaves
And while I was going out, I heard so much rudeness in my address :
- you annoy us too
- come and stand over your soul
- be rude to me
- leave the place
And all in this spirit, until I left the cafe, he continued to say something, but it was impossible to make out the words further because of the music
I was with a small child, the child was shocked by such aggression, I was completely out of it, it became genuinely scary.
We are from Sochi, we come very often and there is no desire to visit this place anymore
The owner has invested so much soul and money in this establishment. It's so beautiful, stylish and you can see with what trepidation every detail is thought out
But the staff is the bottom

Salad with eggplant in rancid oil, salad with noticed vegetables and beef -the oil pours from the grass, already splashes. We give 3 stars for a very long wait. The hall was half full. If you arrive 10 minutes before the end of breakfast, then you will not order it anymore. Desserts are also almost gone by the 12th day. The first thing that was brought in half an hour was water with lemon and coffee. The last dish was brought out more than an hour later. The staff is 50/50. Half friendly, half rude. The food is objectively delicious. The interior is cozy and modern. The hall is clean, the sea view is beautiful.

We arrived at 19:00 with our family (wife and child). We decided not to stay, unfortunately, behind the external picture - nothing more. There was no opportunity to evaluate the kitchen. The staff is not friendly, tea is like water, its taste is not felt at all, cheesecake does not even visually look like cheesecake, rather mannikin with flour.

I would recommend closing this eatery forever! We booked a wedding here in July. We came in a day, chose the entire menu and discussed the time when we, husband and wife, and the guests would come and sit down at the table. As a result, we arrived and there was not even a tablecloth on the tables, let alone dishes. We waited 2 hours with empty tables for ordinary salads, not that hot dishes (after 3.5 hours we only took them out). Our drinks were on the bar for 40 minutes. As a result, the fruit plates were never brought out to us. The service is disgusting! Half of the dishes were never served. You ruined my wedding day! I do not recommend it as much as possible. The management doesn't care at all! They didn't even apologize for the ruined event!

We waited for the order for 50 minutes, and this despite the fact that we were reminded of our existence four times. Moreover, the desserts that are already ready, we couldn't wait at all. The staff doesn't care, ignores, and in the kitchen, it seems, a hunted one-armed dwarf is working all alone, otherwise I can't explain the cooking speed in any way.
The food itself is not worth the wait, the pasta with chicken was incredibly fatty, the beef was dry as a sole, and everything was very salty.
In general, if you want to eat, and not sit for several hours waiting, listening to the rumbling of your stomach, it is better to find an alternative to this institution.

The interior is three-dimensional by St. Petersburg standards. Of the cons: The staff behaves inappropriately, the administrator is a nervous hysterical even if you are alone in the restaurant, no one will approach you, you have to go to them yourself. The prices are like in a restaurant, but the attitude is like in a dumpster!

We came here in the worst of the weather and you know what? I give 5 stars for one view. It's an unreal thing: eat and the sea breeze. We decided to take a chance and sit on the veranda and it wasn't cold at all in a light dress (however, the restaurant itself has the same temperature). They don't have blankets (so they can only count on themselves). The price tag is an ordinary Moscow one. The food is very tasty. We didn't even finish, we ordered so much (and the portions are decent).The toilet is outside (next to the restaurant, but very decent!). The serving is fast, only cocktails, but we were in no hurry in this weather, we waited for food for more than 30 minutes
I advise you to visit here very much, you will not regret it✨

We visited this "institution" in early August. A beautiful view of the sea, a stylish interior with interesting furniture and dishes, and ... this is where the positive ends! Sleepy and boorish staff together with the manager! Until you call, no one pays attention! Chicken soup was waited for about 40 minutes, pasta with shrimp was brought an hour later, well, trout was cooked for 2 (two)!!! An hour! Well, for dessert: the waiter brought the change hiding part of the bills behind the check!

It's a terrible place. They pull it out only because of the interior. You have to wait for the waiters for a very long time, you have to show them that you are sitting here and waiting for them to come up. When they come up, they make a face so dissatisfied that it becomes uncomfortable. We ordered pasta, pizza and cocktails - cocktails were brought in 5 minutes, pasta in 20, pizza in an hour!!!! Although they said when ordering that pizza is the fastest to cook. And there were 3 tables occupied in the hall, not counting ours. Children are constantly running around the institution, the noise from them is very disturbing.
