Very tasty cuisine, a large menu. As in most establishments in Abkhazia, sooo large portions! Salads bring a mountain, but the baked vegetables were not so huge: half a mushroom, one small pepper, two pieces of eggplant, a small tomato. Delicious teas, pastries. Baklava seemed a little dry. The waiters are attentive, two were served perfectly. We ate here twice, we will be happy to come back again.

Yes, it's interesting, yes, the waiters run around in the soap in the evening ... they couldn't wait, they came 20 minutes after we sat down at the table, brought the menu. The next table stood unmade until the end of our dinner, so-so view in this atmospheric place…Thanks to the girl, she is very polite, they try.
They took a meringue roll and an apple strudel - they didn't eat anything more disgusting, horror, everything is wrong and everything is wrong ... it feels like they pushed huge layers of artificial cream into it, some kind of terrible mass inside. Strudel is a separate story... in general, desserts are not about them.
Another time I took okroshka on kvass, the price is 350 rubles., the cat cried a lot of meat, the portion is not large, but I was surprised that it was served without sour cream or mayonnaise ... well, I gave 90 rubles for a spoonful of mayonnaise!!! Not in a restaurant! In the teahouse!!! Special thanks to the waitress for not warning about the price ... the okroshka cost in this "atmospheric". Eat in 440 rubles . Stunned!!!
On the street, waiters are crowding on the side for a smoke break ... I wonder ... do they come back from there through the washbasin? Or do they carry food after sucking all their fingers with cigarettes? Doubtful…
Dishes are often on the verge of being too salty. The prices for this place are overpriced, although now everything here is overpriced.

This is our favorite restaurant in Abkhazia. In 2018, we lived in Abaat and ate there regularly. In 2023, we lived in Gudauta, but still came to our favorite Teahouse several times, the dishes only became tastier over time. And thanks to the friendly staff.

Despite the majority of positive reviews, I can't put 5 - in general, everything is not bad.
It is worth praising the good quality of the dishes and the pleasant atmosphere.
The level of service does not reach the highest rating (perhaps the waiters were exhausted by the end of the season from a large number of guests) - not mentally, the dishes are quite standard without a twist, although the prices are not cheap.
I can also praise the chebureks - they are really tasty and tender.

We had dinner at the Abbot's several times and mostly we came across sluggish waitresses with stone faces. If they were reprogrammed to the fact that "the guest and his good mood" are the key to the success of the restaurant, then I would gladly give the Abbot five stars. The food is good (relative to other establishments here), but not wow. The service is terrible, but it's all over Abkhazia, there is no service. Everything is long, the waitresses are rude, dissatisfied. And just try to tell them that something is wrong.
There was a normal coffee, but now they just bring foam with almost no coffee, because the bartender quit, as explained. They know what they are doing is bad, but they bring and take money for it and it's not a shame)

We rested at the Abaat hotel for 10 days, mostly ate only here. We tried almost all the menus, there was no dish that we didn't like. It is very tasty, the prices are normal, the staff is helpful. The best place in Gagra. We had dinner the whole vacation only here. Huge portions, a large selection of dishes, fast service and very polite staff. You can choose a location for every taste: a hall with a fireplace, a cozy terrace, an area with pillows where you can lie down.
