On the one hand, it is beautiful and authentic. But that's actually all.
We are located in the main hall at the very end. The service is terrible. Having appeared once, the girl Polina completely ignored us later. A fir tree installed in the middle of the hall helped her in this. My remark was answered in surprise: I don't see you. But the spruce does not completely take away the function of walking at the feet and does not give root growth from the fifth point?)
The food is without illusions, we ordered dumplings (rubbish- a lot of dough and a meager amount of even cheap potatoes),
Borscht, although Ukrainian and with pampushki, is VERY mediocre (I ate it tastier in my hotel).
Lard is really what you need to take.
Herring under a fur coat (donkey) is the second and last dish for dinner here. She's great. But! The cook of the "cold shop" is alone. You will wait a long time if there is a banquet in parallel with your visit.
Herring with potatoes is our Matisse, even xxl, but already "laid down"
Pickles in Ukrainian - very much for an amateur. The cabbage was fermented, the mushrooms were definitely not all produced by the restaurant, and so on.
I was pleased with the music - cheerful Belarusian roulades alternated with Russian ones. It was fun.
It's warmer on the terrace, the heat guns are working. But apparently it can be too hot, so the waiters open the doors wide (for a moment - it was snowing that day in Minsk). They were very surprised when I asked them to close them.
Nice themed restaurant 👍
Like most people in Minsk. We celebrated my birthday on March 8th))) Fast delivery, a variety of dishes of national cuisine. Friendly staff. The only negative, as it seemed to me initially, was the inflated price tag. But when they brought me a set of tinctures, I realized that everything was normal)) For most, it just consists of 6 tinctures, but here there are 6 tinctures, plus a snack.😎 In general, I recommend it.
It's a great place, everything is delicious, everything is fast, the portions are large, I had to take an extra order home for dinner. Many thanks to the waitress Daria, for her attentive and warm attitude, for the congratulations from her and the restaurant, for the rousing song, and special thanks to the owner, for the warm, sincere hugs at parting. I recommend it to everyone!🔥🔥🔥
Everything is fine! Starting from the entrance: we were greeted with a smile, comfortably accommodated, immediately offered drinks and ending with an amazing atmosphere, quality and taste of food! Thank you so much, I will definitely come back again! I recommend it!!!
Everyone liked the restaurant. We were warmly welcomed and escorted to comfortable tables where we could comfortably accommodate a baby carriage. They were kindly served and deliciously fed. I especially liked the cozy atmosphere of the festive evening.
It is sincere and delicious, everything is in the best traditions of Ukrainian and Belarusian hospitality. I really liked the interior, stylized as a Ukrainian farm: a wattle of branches, a stove, towels, a lot of antique household items and even a live red rabbit in a cage. The designers are just great. In general, the concept of the institution is thought out to the smallest detail: the menu is in Ukrainian with a Russian translation, folk songs sound in the background. And of course, a large and varied selection of dishes. Tortillas with dumplings, dumplings with poppy seeds, pancakes with cherries and ice cream – delicious and homemade. I wanted to try everything, couldn't resist and also ordered desserts – baked bread with blueberries and carrot cake with cherries and condensed milk. In general, we ate too much. We ordered pies with different fillings (with a 20% discount).
They left well-fed and satisfied. Thanks a lot to all the staff.
Wonderful, magnificent restaurant! For 15 years now, we have been coming here only when visiting Minsk. Year after year, the cuisine is very tasty, the service is excellent, and the portions are large. This place has been my love for 15 years, and then only more!
Thank you to the first owner of this Wonderful Cozy Restaurant!
I thank all those involved in the preserved atmosphere of comfort and authenticity.
I like EVERYTHING here.
On September 4, we had a very good rest and enjoyed ourselves. Especially dumplings with cherries!!!
Today is October 11th. And they are waiting for us here, they meet us and rejoice at us, the guests.
The kitchen! High! Traditional!
Thank you all, especially dear Natalia Khristoforova. A girl with soul and professionalism!
Great restaurant! Authentic atmosphere, friendly and friendly staff, interesting menu, delicious dishes and homemade drinks - kvass, mors and tinctures. In order to avoid surprises, kvass is white, contains alcohol of several degrees, obtained as a result of natural fermentation. The juice is quite non - alcoholic 🙂
It is good for an adult company, in a family circle, and with children - a good children's menu, coloring books with pencils, a live rabbit in the hall that you can pet.
Definitely the best restaurant in this city! The dishes are fire, the staff is fire, the atmosphere is fire! We had a rest here with my friend Vladik, he liked it so much that he couldn't drag me anywhere else! Hello to Kuza the rabbit! P.S. smm you just have a fire, I want to eat the food right from the photos:)💪❤️🔥
It's a great restaurant. I was celebrating my birthday. The youth and friends of 50+ were very satisfied. The staff is great, we are happy with the cuisine, and the mood is great. It is located in the center of Minsk, and after a party we quickly found ourselves at home.
They cooked quite tasty and quickly, the atmosphere is very good and in the styles of Ukraine during the Russian Empire, there is also a rabbit there. A very tasty dish (pancakes with bacon and mushroom sauce)
It's a good place, we were here on Shrovetide, the food is delicious, satisfying, there is compote on the tables for guests, it's nice. Very warm homely atmosphere, thank you.
The interior is beautiful, but in my opinion a little tired. There's a lot of vinegar in the borscht. And since when has it become normal to serve frozen salmon to draniki in the hope that it will have time to thaw? By the way, the sausages for the pancakes are not very tasty. The service is lame, to put it mildly. The menu arrived and for 15 minutes no one was in sight at all. It was probably more interesting to stand near the bar. The time of serving and the order of drinks were not specified, although I asked for wine first, then tinctures. No one was in a hurry to clean up the dirty dishes either. It's good that there were other guests on the terrace besides us. Otherwise, I would have to go for the calculation myself. It is not enough to classify an establishment as a restaurant. You also need to match.
I've wanted to come here for a long time.
The interior conveys the atmosphere of the village of Ukraine, for which the designer is a beauty.
The music is completely inconsistent with the format of the institution. It plays very loudly. There is no single Ukrainian or folk song. It's just unknown pop music playing. The musical atmosphere makes you want to leave the place sooner.
The menu is good. The price tag on the menu is inadequate. Example:
1) herring salad under a fur coat - 25 rub;
2) used alco beer (and alco) - 9 RUB (the same in the store 1.90 rub);
3) tinctures or a glass of vodka - 7 rubles.
Conclusion:
The cover does not match the filling. You'll go hungry and you'll pay dearly for it. I don't recommend this place. I'll come back in a year and see what's changed again.
UPDATED:
The owner asked to get in touch. After contacting the owner, ONLY THE MESSAGE HE HAS READ.
WE are not GUESTS for the owner, we are just INCOME for him.
It's all sad, a weak restaurateur...
An atmospheric, cozy place, cheerful music was playing. A varied menu with traditional cuisine. I took borscht and dumplings with potatoes and pork rinds, it was very tasty.
The staff is polite, everything is at the highest level. We will definitely come again when we are in Minsk.
After reading the bad reviews, we decided, okay, let's go, but not for long. Just to have a beer. In fact, she served us well and quickly, gave us delicious drinks and food. Dumplings with poppy seeds are generally love. We will definitely come here again.
The most balanced set of all presented at the Gastrofest, but tartare is a little bit insular. Meat, by the way, goes very well with fruits. Besides, they also give stickers. There is music in the hall, there is a rabbit that is allowed to be petted. By the way, the employee of the institution told a lot of interesting things about the rabbit.
The bathroom is clean. Good staff: a waitress and, in particular, an administrator.
Once again, I was satisfied with the kitchen.
It's very tasty, I especially like to eat borscht there, I advise you!
The service is good, attentive and courteous
Excellent location, excellent service, excellent Belarusian-Ukrainian cuisine, excellent homemade drinks, warm atmosphere. For children, there is a live rabbit that can be petted, and a good children's menu.
I've been wanting to visit this place for a long time, but I couldn't do it, thanks to the gastrofest and Visa persuaded))) The staff is friendly, flits between the tables with a smile and a good mood. The first trip was dedicated to food, so it was not possible to really consider the entourage, and they preferred the veranda to the hall - let's say it's a little hot when it's +24 and sunny outside, there is air conditioning, but I did not understand whether it worked or not, but in general there was no heat, and we started with a cooler))) The refrigerator on kefir served in a pot with hot bulba - mmmm, I'll tell you for a hot day the most))) then more blood, sauerkraut, heather, finger-shoved sausage, pickled onions and horseradish - and that's just me listing what went straight 100,%))) with a sense of unfinished duty I had to finish gluttony so that nothing bursts))) As a result, I realized that I needed to go back - borscht, dumplings are the minimum that has not yet been studied. In general, the food is very good and the prices are generally democratic for the average purse . The place is definitely recommended to visit - but I will definitely return ... and more than once)))
We were families. The price/quality ratio is much lower than the average. I tried three types of tinctures - it was disgusting. Instead of horseradish, they brought pepper. To the question, is this really bullshit? - Yes, of course. I didn't like the taste of the food at all, borscht, which should be the main dish of Ukrainian cuisine, is very average... Draniki is bad. The caesar salad for 25 rubles looked like it was in the dining room, especially the pieces of green tomato around the edges. The only thing the girls liked was ice cream-based desserts. The bill for three is 200 rubles, it feels like 80 would be a pity. Don't set foot in there anymore. Alas, a severe disappointment...
Firstly, the prices are too high for an institution of this level. Secondly, customer orientation is lame. We ordered a portion of soup: borscht with boiled mushrooms (431 g yield). We wanted the portion to be divided into 2 plates. The waiter girl said they don't do that here. They asked for a second plate, but ignored it. Thirdly, the quality of the dishes is also lame. We were at Shrovetide week. We ordered machanka with pancakes and pancakes with trout for the soup. Pancakes are pancakes on kefir. And the number of pancakes in the dishes is much more than the number of additions to them (and machanki, and even more so trout with soft cheese). There was a minuscule amount of meat in the machanka, and that was in the form of fibers. It's realistic to eat only half of the pancakes with that amount of addition to them.
We decided to have a snack with a friend , the place is atmospheric , according to its theme , the service is at the highest level , we ordered : brooch , rolled with tongue , kvass and pies
borscht is very hard all according to the canon , kvass (alcoholic) like grandma's in the village , the pies are super , the salad is super delicious ( but the price tag bites a little )
When ordering, it was assumed that the dishes would be ready in 35 minutes. When I approached the waiters 40 minutes later, it felt like they had accidentally remembered our order. She went into the kitchen, shouted loudly a question about the order and immediately saw it already ready. And we were hungry from the trip.
After the payment, they didn't bring us the change and the check, so we went to get dressed, reminding them about it. To which the waiter replied, not too good-naturedly, that there was no receptionist who worked with the cash register. The change and check were returned, the reception was not friendly, the impression was spoiled. Although we enjoyed the corporate dinner there a few days earlier.
The prices are more expensive than in other places, but in my opinion, this is unreasonable, there is nothing unusual here. I would never come to this restaurant again.
Very tasty bacon. The tinctures are generally awesome. The Kiev cutlet is simply awesome, there is a lot of butter inside, juicy. And pickled mushrooms, mmmm. It's a wonderful place.
A very tasty, cozy restaurant in Minsk👍🏼 we have been here more than once and everything has always been very tasty. A large selection of Ukrainian and Belarusian traditional dishes, I recommend you to visit👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
We came with a company to the gastrofest. The place is cozy, everything is in the national style. There was a full landing, there were a lot of people, but the order was delivered quickly. I really liked the pleasant young man in national clothes. There was no badge, maybe the manager or the administrator, I don't know, but he came up, talked to us, offered everything from the menu, told us about this or that dish, how it was prepared, in general, a super pleasant and interesting person)
Of the cons: there were ribs in the set of the gastrofest. Our friends got clean meat from the ribs, practically boneless, but we had huge bones and a little bit of meat that could not be torn off even from the bone. In general, from the declared 2kg set, you can safely take away 400-500g of bones. Such a thing. There was also a dessert in a mug, which, in principle, was not brought to us, as well as to the next table, until they asked and so did we, otherwise the set would have turned out to be defective at all. Well, invite more countries to ask to change, because they were poorly washed and sticky.
Separately, I would like to note the awesome draniki here, I have never tasted such delicious in my life)
In general, the place is cool, but you need to work on the sets of the gastrofest, otherwise people get everything different
I was in your restaurant on 09/27/2024.
We celebrated our golden wedding anniversary in the family circle.
I would like to thank you for a wonderful evening, the unique, delicious dishes of your wonderful cuisine, the paternally attentive, warm attitude of the hostesses of the hall, the picturesque interior of folk household items.
thank you very much!!!
Terrible experience at the Chumatsky Shlyakh restaurant — disrespect, rudeness and double standards!
On April 5, 2025, my family and I decided to come to this restaurant with friends and our dog, having previously reserved a table and warned about the pet. We had already visited the establishment twice without any problems, and the staff saw the dog, an English staffy (not a dangerous breed, 40 cm at the withers). However, this time we were met with outright rudeness.
What happened:
The cloakroom attendant didn't even say hello, but immediately demanded to put a muzzle on the dog, although there had never been such a condition before. We explained that we had already been here without a muzzle.
Ruben, the deputy director, appeared, and began to behave extremely negatively: he demanded proof of our previous visits, did not believe our words, and ignored photos of the dog taken in the same restaurant. Instead of apologizing, he left: "Okay, go ahead," as if he's doing me a favor.
Double standards: While Ruben was "fighting" with our titled stuffy (a breed that does not have aggression towards people!), a drunk man was yelling in the hall. The receptionist-girl tried to calm him down, but Ruben chose to ignore the real problem. As a result, that guest fell in the hall, creating a dangerous situation. Where is the "customer care" that Ruben so hypocritically talked about?
Additional claims:
Ruben's references to the "fighting breed" are completely illiterate. The English Staffy is not included in the list of potentially dangerous dogs, which is easy to check. We offered to Google the breed of our dog, but Ruben refused.
After such an attitude, any desire to return disappeared. If loyal guests are treated so disdainfully, what can newcomers expect?
Bottom line:
The "Chumatsky shoe" has ruined its reputation in my eyes. Instead of comfort and hospitality, there is rudeness, incompetence and hypocrisy. I feel sorry for the waitresses and receptionists who try their best while people like Ruben scare away customers. I won't recommend this place to anyone else — take care of your nerves and your pets!
P.S. The dog, by the way, is more well-mannered than some visitors.
A great place within walking distance from the Minsk Musical Comedy Theater. It is possible to combine cultural leisure with gastronomic. Assortment of Belarusian and Russian national cuisine, a variety of liqueurs. There are a lot of visitors, it makes sense to book a table in advance.
It's a great place. Delicious Ukrainian cuisine. Borscht is "the one", the pancakes are simply beyond praise. Interesting interior, courteous prompt service, convenient location. I recommend it!
The family visited this institution. It turned out very well. Soft music plays in the background. The dishes are quite tasty, they are cooked quickly. Everything is so cozy, in the national style, the staff is polite and pleasant.
I did it once and I won't do it again. The food looks good, smells delicious, tastes almost good too, but after it the body remains dissatisfied, the food does not reach the level of a cafe, although of course it corresponds to the national trend. In short, an amateur.
Starting from the external atmosphere and ending with the staff, it's just super, the portions are large, delicious, the price is very pleasant in Russian rubles, we ate too much for only 2.5 thousand. I definitely advise you to visit this place. The photo below shows the second part of the order.
We visited this institution on Friday, November 24, and came with companies to the gastrofest.
The place is cozy, the waiters work well, I really liked the Nahim who served us. A very attentive, polite young man. I also liked the kitchen, ordered a set declared for the gastrofest, were satisfied, everything was very tasty.
From what I didn't like: we waited a very long time for the order, about an hour. There are a lot of people, the kitchen can't cope with so many people and orders. Visitors were nervous because of the long wait for orders, as a result, there were conflict situations with the waiters and with the administrator. We understand that it's not about these guys, but that the kitchen is not coping.
Note to the restaurant management: please increase the number of employees in the kitchen next time to avoid such unpleasant moments in the work of your restaurant.
Great place! Delicious cuisine. It's cozy and pleasant. Everything is very themed!Good staff. We took different dishes, we liked everything very much! The only thing I didn't like was the check for a good amount) And so I definitely recommend you to visit!)
We went to have dinner with my wife.
A nice and pleasant woman greets you at the entrance.
The waiters are in good shape, very pleasant.
The cuisine is excellent, they do a lot of things themselves: pancakes, dumplings, drinks, tinctures.
We've had enough.
It is a very colorful place, we will definitely come again.
A great place, delicious national food, excellent service, respect for the bartender for the tinctures, the waitresses will advise and prompt, thanks a lot to the waitress Polina for her help in choosing dishes and drinks. Cool atmosphere and interior. I recommend you to visit.
Thanks to Odyssey tg: @grimace for interesting tasks, grimace for 8k lfg
An interesting place with very tasty food. Cozy atmosphere, pleasant background music. And most importantly, in such places, very tasty tinctures of their own production.
The interior is cool, the borscht with pampushki is good. A very strange Caesar. A lot of mayonnaise dressing and puff pastry, replacing croutons) The dumplings are huge, I had to break them in half with a spoon. I liked the ham rolls with sweet pepper. In general, it's pretty good, but there are better places with national cuisine in Minsk)
The atmosphere is colorful. A small establishment. Design, music, menu, everything is interesting. Good waiters! But most importantly - disgusting food! We were there on 01.10.23. We ordered different dishes, overcooked cutlets were served for the child, I did not eat them. For adults, soups, and draniki soups - or rather, water with the taste of soup. Draniki are sour, one flour, and that is probably from strategic stocks and the cheapest, so also overcooked. The only plus is that these "miracle" draniki were removed from the receipt. I repeat, the team is good - but not the kitchen for sure.
It's not tasty! I would like the hodgepodge to be more saturated, eggplant rolls are very tasty. The music is playing strange. There could be more themed music on the theme of the institution!
We wandered into a restaurant of Ukrainian and Belarusian cuisine for dinner, which we are very happy about. The place is stylized for the most part under the way of life of Ukraine, but the music sounded Russian, which in general did not spoil the picture, it was nice to be there. We sat on the veranda with glass walls, it was cold outside, but it was warm there. The staff is friendly, even serving meat dishes is fast and interesting enough. The husband asked the girl to bring something to his taste and served ribs with pancakes, and I had a piece of meat with vegetables and pancakes with white sauce of porcini mushrooms with bacon, plus a salad of fresh vegetables and pampushki. The meat dishes were on the frying pans and squashed even when serving. Everything is so delicious that even when we were full and even overeaten, our eyes wanted to finish all the yummy food served. I highly recommend this restaurant. Cozy and delicious!
