I really wanted to see this Church of the Mother of God Ruzhantsova (Virgin Mary of the Holy Rosary) in Sol
with my own eyes and now the dream has come true) The church is so unusual and beautiful, like some kind of magical castle. He is unusual in everything. And the appearance is non-standard, where else can you see such a church? It has a multifaceted architecture and a three-dimensional composition and at the same time looks very harmonious! Inside, the painting is not classical. It was painted in the 1930s by the famous Belarusian-Lithuanian artist Pyotr Sergievich.
Three altars were built in the church: the main one - to the Mother of God Ruzhantsova, the altar of the Mother of God Ostrobramskaya, the altar of the Heart of the Lord Jesus. And today, in the chapels made in the wings of the transept, there are two more altars: St. Yusaf in the left and St. Anthony in the right.
The temple in this settlement stood back in 1589, but it was wooden and, of course, was destroyed. The project of this Art Nouveau church was designed by architect-engineer Adam Dubanovich with the participation of priest-rector Vladislav Kurpis-Garbovsky, sponsors Boniface Trahnevich and Yusaf Zakharevsky. Residents of Solov and surrounding villages also helped. In total, 540,000 zlotys were spent on the construction of the temple, which at that time was a huge amount. During the laying of the foundation of the church, a treasure was found, and the proceeds were used for the construction of the temple. The construction of the temple lasted from 1926 to 1934. During the Second World War, the church did not close and continued to work. The temple has its own organ.
The church was built in 1926-1934 in the Art Nouveau style with a bell tower and galleries with figured columns. It is rare to see such beauty and asymmetrical harmony anywhere. It is not for nothing that it is among the ten most beautiful temples in Belarus. A cross and an anchor are crossed over the entrance. There are stunning murals inside, including paintings on military subjects. The pulpit is made in the form of a boat. I've never seen anything like it anywhere. You can only get to the church during Mass, we were on an excursion on the way to Gervyaty, so it was opened to us by agreement.
An extraordinarily beautiful church! It is beautiful and unusual both outside and inside - we were lucky to go inside, inspect everything carefully, and even sat, imbued with respect and culture of the church.
In each church there is a special atmosphere of tranquility, silence and distance from worldly worries. You don't have to be a believer, you can just come and admire the restrained interiors of the temple.
The church building in Solah is 35 meters high (!) and looks unusual - like a cozy little castle. The building seems to be asymmetrical, but surprisingly harmonious, has a multifaceted architecture and composition. The temple has a two-tiered tower with a figured completion, a transverse nave of the transept and a semicircular apse covered with a conical roof. On the middle cross - the intersection of the nave and transept - there is another octagonal turret. The highlight of the whole building is considered to be the side galleries-arcades decorated with figured columns. And there is also a figure of a swordsman on the roof of the temple! A very interesting architectural object - I recommend it!
A very interesting church, where you can see a real mix of architecture. There is also an interesting sign in front of the entrance with an anchor. I would like to visit the inside, it is constantly closed. You can park nearby, the church is located in the very center, and there are shops where you can buy something to eat.
It is a landmark of the Grodno land, located near Smorgon. When you look at him in the photos, he does not seem to be big. However, once you are nearby, you will see a monumental structure with its own unique style. The church just falls in love with itself. The territory is well-groomed and beautiful inside. If you are in these places, be sure to stop by, you will not regret it!
The church is really impressive. The architecture is extraordinary. One of the disadvantages is that it was closed and it didn't work out to get inside. A young guy (perhaps the rector) worked nearby on landscaping the adjacent territory, said that the village was not big and there was not much to show the beauty inside the church to anyone, or there was not much time, but at the same time he was polite and tactful, told a little in words about the inner beauty of the church.
An amazing Church! Very unusual! It's different on each side! There is absolutely no symmetry, in the classic style! It's a pity, it was just closed and we didn't see it from the inside! But the scaffolding was to the rescue - it helped to look through the window, at least with one eye! It's a great place!
A beautiful church that could become an ornament of any European country. However, he is with us. And anyone can admire its beauty. An interesting combination of Art Nouveau and Baroque.
We came to see the church, but it was closed. There is no timetable for his work. According to rumors, it is open only for morning services and for organized excursions. Therefore, they were content with examining only the appearance. I wasn't particularly impressed.
A very unpleasant story happened with a visit to this place. We attended church in August 2021. We arrived at the place at 9:30, the doors were closed. We admired the view of the church from the outside, but we would like to see it from the inside. Moreover, we drove more than 400 km for this purpose. Turning to the nearest store, they learned from the seller that there was a priest's assistant who could open the door, and he would try to call her. When we approached the church, we saw this very assistant. At our request to open the Church, she measured us from head to toe with a picky look and asked if we had arrived with the group. To which we replied that we were tourists in our own right (there were four of us). To which she, bursting into a venomous tirade, in very non-literary terms (and this is at the walls of the temple) informed us that she should not run and open the doors to everyone for free, etc. We tried to kindly persuade her to open the Church to us for a couple of minutes, but she was relentless. She said that a bus with tourists would arrive soon, and we would have to wait for them. We waited for half an hour, although the whole viewing took us only a couple of minutes. At the same time, she did not hesitate to pour out her poison on us even within the walls of the church. I was very ashamed in front of my foreign guests, whom we specially brought here for an excursion.
The church was built at the beginning of the last century. It impresses with its beautiful asymmetry. No less impressive is the fact that it was built exclusively with funds from donations.
Externally, the church looks neat, but there are few details. They say there are frescoes inside, but the priest did not let them in, he said, come another day. "Service"
The church is beautiful and very unusual in terms of architecture. Well, it's straight gingerbread :)
Frescoes are mandatory to view. I haven't seen it myself (I've only seen photos on the Internet), although I've been to Sols three times already.
I didn't really like it, just the white walls and no sophistication. I do not agree that it is among the top 10 most beautiful temples in Belarus.

Thanks to everyone involved in creating this beauty. It is a very beautiful temple, both inside and outside, the area around it is neatly maintained. And no matter what the weather is outside, this place is perfect with any weather!
This temple is located on the road from Smorgon to Ostrovets. It is difficult not to notice him and not to take your eyes off him. A truly majestic building made in a unique style with a complex fate and which must be seen live
He stood on the edge. They did not bother the believers much. I like the Catholic churches, which are tolerant of tourists. The temple is so solid, especially the ogre walls and the bolt on the gate impressed me
An iconic place. There is something to see, to learn the history of the country.

A wonderful place! Unusual architecture! It was not possible to enter inside, but an external inspection was enough for positive emotions and admiration for the idea of the creator of this masterpiece!
