The temple is very beautiful inside and out, a beautiful bell tower plays beautifully on the bells, the priests are very kind and will tell everything well. God grant the priests good health, God grant good health, and a very beautiful iconostasis and royal warriors. God grant that this temple is built!

The best temple in Minsk. The atmosphere is very warm, everyone is always welcome, educated priests, sermons are heartwarming. There is a cozy cafe on the territory of the temple, where you can warm up with warm tea after the service.

The Church of St. Nicholas of Japan on Lidskaya 3 opened its doors on February 16, 2012. It was on this day that the abbot of the monastery, Father Pavel Serdyuk, now archpriest, celebrated the first Divine Liturgy here. The Orthodox community itself was organized back in 2008 - 16 years ago. The temple is the decoration of the Stone Hill, in some ways even its soul. Equal to the Apostles Nicholas of Japan (Kasatkin) is a bishop of the Russian Orthodox Church, a missionary, and the founder of the Orthodox Church of Japan. In 1861, Father Nicholas arrived in the Japanese city of Hakodate from Russia in order to spread Orthodoxy among the Japanese. And for half a century of his activity, he not only learned Japanese, but also translated the Holy Scriptures and other liturgical books into it, created a theological seminary, six theological schools for Japanese girls and boys, opened a library, an orphanage and other institutions. At the time of the death of Father Nicholas (1836-1912), the number of Orthodox Japanese was more than 33 thousand people! And this is in Japan, a country with its own special centuries-old culture and its own spiritual tradition! That's the patron saint of the temple. If we talk about the exterior, then the temple of Nicholas of Japan is wooden, very cozy. Perhaps this very comfort and warmth can be felt precisely thanks to the tree, painted icons, always living flowers - now I'm talking about the warmth created and maintained by people. The exterior is of course the first thing you will see when you come here: the caretakers Vera Viktorovna, Svetlana, Galina and others will unobtrusively tell you where and which candle to put. The candle shop will advise you how to properly arrange your note and what kind of order you need if you want to order. By the way, there is a large amount of spiritual literature in the shop, literature for children - excellent, high-quality. The servants of the refectory (it is next to the temple) will offer you delicious homemade food and mouth-watering desserts (the fastidious kokobai himself is crazy about the local rum woman). If you stay for the Divine Liturgy, you will soon get to know the priests of the temple. A wonderful clergy are young, educated priests. Rector Pavel Serdyuk, Archpriest, Bachelor of Theology. Father Alexy (Mosesov) and Father Yevgeny (Fisenkin) are masters - smart, modern, carrying the light of traditional values with their lives and ministry. Divine liturgies are served in the church every day, two on Sunday. At the second Sunday liturgy, there are many children who are waiting for their favorite "Words to Young Christians" before communion, when Father Alexy discusses the scriptures of the day in an accessible and understandable language for children in a playful and informative way. By the way, this is no less interesting for me, an adult. There are many children among the parishioners, and at the liturgy they also wait for this "word of the shepherd" addressed to each of them. Father Sergiy (Timoshenkov) serves here on Saturdays, comes from Zhirovichi. Before, at the moment and after the Divine Liturgy, this priest sometimes tells in detail and explains what we are going to do now, how to do it correctly, what it means and this is such an Orthodox "educational program". At the liturgy of Father Sergius, I often invite my friends who will attend the liturgy for the first time. The unobtrusive and sincere explanations of Father Sergius, which sound like a friendly address, make the Word itself closer and more accessible to everyone. And another father, Father Gordey (Shcheglov). To myself, I call him the "angel" of the parish. Although the pastor is very experienced, he is a professor at the Minsk Theological Academy, who has written and published more than twenty books. You can still write a lot about the church of Nicholas of Japan, about his active social activities, about his choir and bell ringers, about the construction of a new temple complex - but you can find out about all this in detail on the parish's website, and in the end it is important to say the main thing - here, in the parish, you can get great Comfort,"..for everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.."
