I am Orthodox and therefore I am not a frequent visitor to this place. However, at the request of a friend, we got to a magnificent organ concert. The interior is bright and pleasant, the concert is just a fairy tale. The attitude of the church servants is excellent. I advise everyone to visit this place both after attending a concert, and just to see the architecture and interior decoration.
At the moment it is the only functioning church in Gomel.
The second one is being built at the exit from Gomel along Rechitsky highway.
The previous functioning Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Gomel was located on the site of the modern roadway in front of the Beltelecom fountain, was closed by the Bolsheviks in 1937 and completely destroyed in 1940.
