You expect a lot more from 5 stars. The reception is often empty, waiting for the concierge. The price tag in the bar is completely inhumane by Tashkent standards. The "representative" series numbers are quite simple.
But the staff responds to requests quite quickly. A big plus in terms of service.

This hotel has probably seen better years. However, as of October 2022, this is an expensive hole.
One of the advantages is a good water pressure in the shower. Good location. That's it)
The staff is not competent. They answer any requests with "yes, yes" and do nothing 😂
The restaurant is there as a room, but it does not work. Despite the fact that the hotel is packed.
Everything is broken in the room, which costs $110 per night. That's just it. The sink is full. Taking a shower means flooding the entire bathroom. Half of the outlets are not working. The air conditioner is not working. All the furniture is chipped. Etc., etc.
At the same time, the hotel declares that it is 5 stars😂😂😂
However, in the evening, only 3 stars out of 5 are lit on the facade 🤷♂️😆
This comfort hotel will give a head start to all new private ones, when it was under the Sheraton brand. Every inch has been thought out for convenience and standards. The service is very lame due to the fact that the hotel is now on the balance sheet of the state. The absence of ATMs for tourists.
There are no complaints about cleaning the room, but as for the restaurant, you come a little later for breakfast there is no food anymore. You have to fish in the pool to order something, since there is always no bartender in place, or they splash around in the pool :). There is also no one in the bar from time to time. The working staff comes to breakfast at the same time as the guests and apparently eat everything :)
Terrible hotel! Not worth the money! The air conditioners don't work, the staff is never there. Everything is old, the mattresses are crooked. The refrigerator is moved from room to room
During Lent, it is an important stage for Orthodox believers to provide for lean food.
I liked it · I have been staying at the Hotel City Palace since 2017. I am glad that it is growing by all indicators. The service, restaurant, fitness room, cleanliness in the room have improved significantly (which is important for me).

The whole hotel is the epitome of Uzbek hospitality and service! The spa area is closed at least half an hour in advance, and in two hours it is already cold in the sauna and the floor cloths are drying! The windows don't open in the whole hotel! The pool water is cold! Icy! We lived on the 9th floor, there was not enough water pressure, we had to wash our hair in the spa area! One of the advantages is the location and breakfast! They are quite satisfying! Of the cons, almost everything! Including the work of the reception, only one employee is responsive, the rest frankly did not hesitate to twist their faces at the simplest questions, for example, how to get to the spa area! This is the first time I've seen such a combo of unsuitable factors for staying in a supposedly expensive hotel!
Not a bad hotel, but the Wi-Fi in my room was very bad. Perhaps because he was far from the router. At first they moved into another room, but it turned out to be sooooo hot and it couldn't be changed (in winter, the climate works only for heating). The windows don't open. I was forced into this other room, where the climate was not turned on, it was cool in it.
The food in the restaurant downstairs is normal, the breakfasts are really good.
The bottom of the bottoms... still from the USSR. There are no pills at the reception, banal for headaches, nothing....
The windows don't open, the kondei is working on its own wave and smells rotten. The entrance door has a finger-thick gap, there is no sound insulation
No one cleaned the room for the first 2 days, then they started cleaning, probably the composition changed) then everything became normal
The breakfast is normal,
the hotel accommodation is normal too
I didn't like the hotel. The staff doesn't care about the guests. The indoor pool and spa area were closed at the weekend (this hotel was chosen only because of this). They didn 't report it , they sent it saying : that everything is open. When we went down , we almost suffocated , they treated us with hydrochloric acid !!!! The service is at a lower level. Obviously, you need to pick up a few stars!!!
I stayed at this hotel in the spring of 2017 and in the spring of 2018 while on a business trip) All stars to two wonderful people who worked at this hotel during that period (2018) :
- the owner of the souvenir shop (in the lobby);
- the hotel nurse who did daily bandages (I twisted my leg badly at the time) and literally "saved" my business trip
God grant them health, good luck and success in everything!!!
