What can I say?- when we left, after spending a week here, we were very sorry.
A pleasant complex. We took a 2-bedroom apartment. Quite cozy. Fully equipped kitchen. There were small details in the form of a badly working microwave, blunt knives, lack of a corkscrew and cleaning rags,?but everything is fixable.
The room service is good. It was only bad with meat. But the rule works here - the most expensive dishes on the menu are the most unsuccessful in the room service. There was no point in returning the same overcooked rib eye.
The pool is great. They won't let you handle the towel yourself - they'll help you make the bed. At the same time, it was much more comfortable for me in the shift where the girl worked. Her replacement guy was lazy, I had to cheer him up). Water is brought from the bar in parallel, by default, and sorbents to choose from are a compliment. The bar is edible, but the menu is very poor. But you can order everything for the chaise longue. On the opposite side, there are a lot of midges in the bushes. The staff offers a spray.
The pool itself is open from 6 to 21. The bar is from 9-21.
Restaurants: Chinese and Japanese. They have their own opening hours. If you need to eat from 14:30-18 - the option is either by the pool or in the lobby bar "diplomat" the menu is truncated. But the room service works around the clock.
A big plus of this place is the direct access from the hotel to the all seasons shopping center. There are many restaurants and a full-fledged supermarket, a couple of pharmacies, the opportunity to sew suits and buy suitcases. There are also two Starbucks, one of which, as the child explained to me, is super cool: because reserved))
All this happiness works until 22:00. If you are late, there is a small 7/11 right there. You will not stay hungry)
The hotel was opened more than 20 years ago in 2003 and became the first hotel of the brand in Thailand. The hotel is part of the All Seasons Place complex, which also combines office buildings, a shopping center and residential apartments. The Conrad Bangkok Tower has 32 floors, and the room stock consists of 392 guest rooms.
The hotel is located in the central part of Bangkok, in the Lumphini business district. This area is also called the embassy district, because only the embassies of five countries are located in the All Seasons Place complex, and there are several more on the neighboring streets. Lumpini Park with its famous monitor lizards is just a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
The distance to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) is about 30 km and the taxi ride can take from 25 to 40 minutes, depending on the traffic situation. Also within walking distance from Conrad Bangkok is the Phloen Chit station of the BTS Skytrain metro, from where you can quickly get to various parts of the city.
The lobby of the hotel looks gorgeous, there were 2 check-in desks, as well as an additional one for status participants. The day before our arrival, the 74th FIFA Congress was held at the hotel. Passports of all residents, including children, were required at registration. As a Hilton Honors member with Diamond status, I received an upgrade to the Deluxe Twin Corner Room. There is also a Diplomat Bar in the lobby, where live music is played in the evenings on some days.
Our corner room 2107 was located on the 21st floor, away from the elevators, at the end of the building. The area of the Deluxe Twin Corner Room is 53 square meters, which is a pretty good indicator. In some hotels, the Juniour Suite or even the Suite have such an area. At the same time, the basic rooms at Conrad Bangkok also have a huge area of 41 sq. m
. There is a spacious dressing room to the left of the entrance. Further behind the dressing room on the left wall there is a niche with a countertop, under which a minibar and shelves with various drinks, tea accessories and dishes are hidden. The coffee machine was missing. There were two rather wide beds in the living part of the room. There is one common bedside table with sockets, as well as a light control system and curtains between the beds. The water bottles were placed in stylish cases, which guests can purchase for an additional fee if desired. There is also a TV and a work area. As a welcome gift, a fruit plate, good sweets, dried fruits and nuts, as well as two bottles of mineral water from popular Italian brands were offered. The spacious bathroom includes a bathtub, shower, sink and electronic toilet. There is also a view of the city from the bathroom. Cosmetics, traditionally for the Conrad chain, are represented by the excellent Byredo brand.
Breakfast is served from 6:00 to 10:30 on weekdays and from 6:00 to 11:00 on weekends and holidays in the Cafe@2 restaurant located on the second floor of the hotel. The landing zone is not too big, but there seemed to be enough places for everyone. The restaurant had several Live Stations with traditional noodles, pancakes and, of course, egg dishes. The menu of egg dishes was decent, including benedicts and specialties. There were three types of freshly prepared detox juices on the drinks counter. In the center of the hall there was an island decorated with elephants with a salad bar, meat and cheese cuts, breakfast cereals and fruits. There were separate racks with Indian and Japanese dishes, as well as Thai specialties. There was also a vegetarian corner. The range of milk, as expected, included, in addition to the usual, low-fat, soy and almond. In general, the breakfast offer was extensive and worthy of Conrad's level.
The lounge at Conrad Bangkok is located on the 29th floor of the hotel and is open from 6:00 to 22:00. Cold and hot drinks and small snacks are available in the lounge throughout the day. In addition, breakfast, Afternoon Tea and an evening Happy Hour, called Evening Cocktail, are provided in the executive living room. At the same time, children under 12 years old are not allowed to visit the lounge in the evening, during the Happy Hour period. The living room space occupies about half of the floor and has several zones with different placement options, separated by niches, racks and partitions. There is no dedicated business center in the living room, but there is a printer, connected to which via Wi-Fi, you can print the necessary documents. Breakfast in the executive lounge is served from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and is traditionally a stripped-down version of breakfast in the communal restaurant. At the same time, all the necessary components of breakfast are available, including a Live Station for cooking eggs. In addition to the buffet, a pleasant feature of breakfast in the executive lounge is the possibility of ordering dishes from the menu. During Afternoon Tea, it is not something special. Snacks and sweets are offered. During the Evening Cocktail from 17:30 to 19:30, a not too outstanding set of dishes and snacks, as well as several desserts are offered. At the same time, there is a kind of Live Station where the chef prepares a dish of mozzarella and figs, and also collects bruschetta to taste. Strong alcohol is represented by a good basic assortment, but wine and sparkling wine are frankly weak. There are three types of beer available: Heineken, Singha and Asahi. But what really turned out to be on top is the author's cocktails, which can be ordered from the waiter's menu.
The Seasons Spa in Conrad Bangkok is located on the 7th floor of the hotel and is open from 10:00 to 22:00. On the same level there is a fitness center, an outdoor terrace with a swimming pool and a children's playground and tennis courts. The sauna and hammam are located in the changing rooms, so they are separate for men and women. Behind the locker rooms there is a passage to the 24-hour fitness Bodyworx. The hall is quite spacious and fully equipped.
From 6:00 to 21:00, hotel guests have the opportunity to visit the outdoor terrace on the 7th floor of the hotel, which can be accessed through the Spa reception. In fact, on the roof, surrounded by the towers of the All Seasons Place complex, there is an outdoor swimming pool, a playground and tennis courts. The pool is quite large, with a length of more than 30m. There are many sun beds around the pool, and towels are provided. In May, the water temperature in the main pool was 30°, which was still quite refreshing in the heat of the street. Employees bring complimentary water. In addition, there is also a small hot tub area with a water temperature of 39 °. Behind the bar there is a passage to the playground, which is open from 6:00 to 21:00 and is intended for children from 3 to 12 years old. The courts are open from 6:00 to 21:00. The use of the tennis court is complimentary for hotel guests, but advance reservation is required. At the same time, you will have to pay extra for the inventory.
In total, Conrad Bangkok, in my opinion, has a very good location, a high level of service and, despite its age, is maintained in very good condition. The hotel has a magnificent lounge and a wonderful variety of breakfasts. The spa and fitness center correspond to the level of a 5-star hotel. The presence of a children's playground and a tennis court only add to the advantages of the hotel.
It's a very strange place, like in the very center of a noisy city, but in fact it's like on an island where birds sing and it's quiet and peaceful.
There is a lounge where they are well fed from morning to evening, excellent staff. The room is nice, minus the fact that you don't want to go out into the city at all.
