Yes, the wait for the recording was long, more than two months, but it is honestly written on the website. Otherwise, everything was just fine. On the appointed day and time, I came to the consulate (I came to NY specifically for this, since I live in another state), immediately got to the window, handed over all the documents. The staff is very friendly, from the security guard to the young man who accepted the documents. Everything was done quickly, I left the consulate in 15 minutes. To send the finished passport, I left a USPS Priority envelope, as described on the website. I was told that the deadline is three months. I monitored readiness through the application. It showed the degree of readiness of the passport. A little less than two months have passed today, I received my new passport in the mail. I will not be able to use it in the near future and I do not plan to, this is already a political issue, but the consulate was impeccable in providing this service specifically. Thanks to his staff.
