It is one of the best hidden gem I found in Istanbul. Istiklal caddeci is on 3 mins walkable distance where you would see all hustle and bustle. But once when you are at the Corinne Hotel, you will feel the peace and tranquility. I loved this contrast so much. Definitely, whenever I visit Istanbul, this will be my gateway 🥰
I really like this style in hotels. The aesthetics are just wow. And, basically, that's it.
On the plus side, I would like to note the courtesy of the staff, there are Russian speakers. They immediately respond to any request (they brought an iron, an ironing board, and so on to the room). They offered guided tours.
Cons: It's very loud from the street at night - everyone is yelling, honking, revving, cats are screaming. It's like hell.
The stated breakfast is in the photo. Egg, cucumber, tomato and different types of cheeses. Two types of sausage. Muesli. Basically, that's it. Nothing hot. It's soooo meager, I've never seen such a breakfast. Upset.
Almost everything in the room is falling apart: the doors on the rails don't move, you have to pull them out by force, or there's mold or fungus in the bathtub. Robes for midgets.
View from the window on some kind of GHETTO.
In general, you can live for 1-2 days. It's still a nice room. The location is convenient (you can reach all the attractions on foot or by public transport).
I would put 3 stars, but because of the "atmosphere" of the room, I put 4 ⭐️
P.S. the declared terrace was closed
The hotel is conveniently located in the European part of Istanbul. Istiklal Pedestrian Street is 3 minutes from the hotel. Within walking distance are Galata Bridge, Galata Tower, Dolmabahce Palace, Taksim metro station. A tram stops near the hotel, which provides access to the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and the Basilica Cistern. The hotel is located in an old building with a beautiful staircase and high ceilings. It is equipped with an elevator. The room is clean, not small, but slightly "worn out" by time. There is a fridge, kettle, tea accessories. The hair dryer barely "breathed", and only cold air (despite the request, it was not changed). Breakfast is served in the hotel's beautiful cafe. But we must consider that the breakfast itself is too modest: sausage and cheese sandwiches, eggs, coffee (tea). And olives (delicious). The staff is pleasant and friendly. In general, taking into account the pros and cons, I recommend the hotel and give a solid 4.
