I really love sweets and have tried a lot of things, the sweets in Demel are great. There are different desserts, all very tasty. They are not over-sweetened, just desserts - tender and "according to the recipe". Sacher, for example, is not as sweet as we eat in Moscow (and it tastes good to us), Strudel retains the taste and sourness of an apple, so disappointment could befall. But there were other desserts that you absolutely love (you should also remember their names). I was in Vienna during the non-tourist season, I didn't find the queue. Besides, you can take the desserts with you and leave. The cafe itself is cozy, without pathos, lamp-like.
In general, reasonable prices. It is very warm and cozy. It's not a tourist place, so everyone is friendly and nice. There are not many people, so you can come with any company. There is enough space for everyone!
You should definitely try candied violet and rose leaves!
As a connoisseur of confectionery art, I couldn't keep silent)
Complete disappointment about Demel((
We stood in line for 40 minutes to get to the cafe. As a result: the coffee is the most ordinary, the cakes are the most ordinary....the strudel is dry (we tried it in Munich, so this is a strudel), I don't know what we took....There is no interior.
In general, you will be in St. Petersburg - go to the Top Three - there are cakes so cakes!!!
Complete disappointment......

Very tasty and high-quality products. The price is high, but it corresponds to the quality of the products.
We were there, eating traditional Viennese sweets. Everything is very tasty, not cheap. The staff did not seem too friendly, but in the atmosphere of general well-trained, we will consider this an illusion.
In terms of taste sensations, ordinary pies and cakes, only for 10-20 euros a piece. But if you want to touch the story, that's it. There are a lot of people, it's cramped and uncomfortable to sit, there's a queue.
An ordinary train station. Moderately dirty. A lot of people. It is an extremely inconvenient procedure to get to the trains, especially if you need to return.
