I would like to leave a review about Dr. Seda Erdogan's clinic with pleasure and gratitude. In my opinion, the most valuable and useful thing in my reviews is what his doctor writes. I am a surgeon myself, and I am well aware of the entire medical and near-medical “kitchen". And as a doctor, I chose the clinic three times meticulously and meticulously.
I studied clinics in Istanbul for about 3 weeks (I wanted to combine a transplant with tourism). All these clinics are well-known to patients, there is a lot of information on the Internet, reviews for and against, a lot of photos, all sorts of ratings, in a whetstone outside the Runet. I sent photos and corresponded with 4 clinics. But in the end, at the stage of studying and choosing, not a single clinic suited me. Either by price, or by reviews, or by perseverance, or by peremptory promises, and so on. Being a doctor myself, and knowing how everything works in my specialty, who acts as an “expert” on TV, on YouTube, all these ratings and “regalia” of my fellow dilettante businessmen, online advertising, ratings, all expert opinions....In short, I decided to fundamentally reconsider my search queries, abandoned Istanbul and started searching in Antalya. Tickets to Antalya turned out to be cheaper than in Istanbul, the hotel is cheaper than in Istanbul, which is also pleasant and important. S\E chose the clinic primarily based on the fact that the doctor is a woman. I was and still am confident that in the field of aesthetic medicine, hair transplantation, and assessing the appearance of a patient, a female specialist is preferable to me, and I became more and more convinced of this every minute of my communication with Dr. Erdogan. Of course, the reviews also helped to make a choice in favor of the S/E clinic. I made the final decision after a cosmetologist who personally knew (knows) happened to be in my entourage in Moscow Seda Erodogan said, “Go ahead and don't even hesitate.” In the end, she gave me Seda's number, and I texted her on WhatsApp. Seda confirmed her willingness to accept me, and asked the current issues to be resolved with the curator of the clinic, Serkan. Signed off. I sent the photos. We have chosen a date. We arrived and settled down 100 m from the clinic. Serkan provided all preoperative instructions in detail and in a timely manner, and kindly answered all questions.
At 9 a.m., we were already expected at the clinic. The clinic is clean, cozy, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Of course, this is not the most important thing in medicine, but it is extremely important. You feel confident and calm in such an environment. Moreover, the same atmosphere and attitude at all stages - preoperative, during surgery, after surgery, with every communication. It seems to me that everyone always likes and is important.
When discussing the anterior border of transplantation, I refused to move it forward from the existing line. I did not want and do not want my “frontal appearance” to change, my face. I have had a wide forehead for a long time, this is my usual appearance, and when a new growth line is shifted “to the eyebrows”, I think it looks unnatural and sometimes comical. I was worried about the “top”. In all the photos, I saw a bald crown “from behind” “slightly from above" and I wanted to fix it only. Which is nice, Dr. Erdogan fully shared my opinion. As a result, we decided to “populate” only the crown. A year later, after getting the maximum and final result, if I change my mind (which is unlikely), then I can move the line.
Then they changed into a clinic uniform, took tests, waited for answers, a haircut, and a treatment room. Local anesthesia is inevitably noticeable, as in any field (dentistry, ophthalmology, etc.), but then I personally did not feel pain. You lie face down for about 3 hours, and a team of 4 specialists cuts out grafts. Then there's a break. We were served a hot lunch, a choice of drinks, tea and coffee. Then you lie face up for about 3 hours. The same team replants the grafts. You look out the window at the Mediterranean Sea... And imagine what kind of hair you'll have in 6 months. you think how good you are that you decided to do this, how handsome you are that you chose this particular clinic....You think what a beauty Gray hair is...Joke. Well, almost a joke) You're wondering if I chose the right specialty in medicine...Well, at least those were my thoughts. All. Bandaging. Tea and coffee. Detailed instructions for the first night, a package of medicines, detailed instructions and a brochure for future actions.
The next day we came to the clinic. We were greeted as cordially as before the operation. They took off the bandage and washed my hair. They gave me all the instructions again. They gave me shampoo, medications, caps, and forehead bandages.
I would like to say a big thank you to Serkan. His support, friendly attitude, commitment instilled confidence and calmness in me. I am very grateful to him for that.
We walked around Antalya for 3 more days, fortunately it was +18-20 on these January days. Then to Moscow.
I'll tell you 11 days later. Although the final result is still ahead, I am already happy that I decided to do this. I am very happy, satisfied and confident that I have made the right choice of clinic. I don't regret anything. After 11 days, I look not like I did after surgery, but like I just had my hair cut short) The most uncomfortable thing for me in the whole transplant saga is sleeping at night on a special pillow. But after 11 days it is no longer relevant.
Dear Seda, thank you for my new hair. They are already appearing, everything is still ahead, but I have no doubt that I will be happy with the hair! You have a great clinic, a good team in the treatment room, an excellent supervisor, Serkan, and Ali's driver. Like any doctor, I wish you that your clinic would prosper, that there would be many happy patients and not a single dissatisfied or unhappy one. Thank you!
