We are disappointed that we contacted the Diamond Hotel Baku. I do not advise anyone to consider it due to the dishonesty of employees and deception of guests. I had booked through Booking already in May 2024 2 double rooms for a trip to Formula 1. The reservation was at a more expensive rate due to the fact that I had to pay for everything on the spot upon check-in. Booking has such an opportunity, either to pay 100% at once for less money, or to pay for a more expensive room, but already in fact. We have specifically chosen payment upon check-in. In August, the hotel (their manager Mira) contacted us and asked us to pay for the rooms in full, supposedly they need guarantees that we will arrive. According to the booking conditions and booking rules, the hotel is prohibited from doing this. In our case, the bank card was linked to the booking, in case of non-arrival, we would have been charged a fine. I suggested that the hotel send the documents for the flight, with the question of where to send the tickets, I did not receive an answer and the question hesitated. As a result, exactly ONE WEEK before 03.09. We receive cancellations of our room bookings. To say that we were shocked is to say nothing. The most hype before the formula, there is nothing decent to be found anywhere else, so that it is still at an adequate price. I am 6 months pregnant and the hotel is setting us up like this. We contact the representatives of the hotel, they claim that they are waiting for us, then we communicate with the same Mira, who claims that there are no bookings. For some time, the hotel claims that there was a glitch in the program, and now everything is OK, they are waiting for us. As a result, it turns out through Booking support that the hotel is closed and does not accept guests. The booking staff claimed that it was not necessary to go to them and it was not safe. As a result, by the day of check-in, of course, no one contacted us from the hotel, no one confirmed our arrivals in advance. According to the last communication, they claimed that our reservations are relevant and they will settle us at the prices that were in the booking of the booking. These are scammers and I do not recommend them to anyone, otherwise you will remain in the same terrible situation. Most likely, because of the hype, they decided to cancel our reservations, because people came through their website and were willing to pay more. I think that this is not acceptable, given that people plan their trips in advance on purpose!
We stayed at this hotel on March 2 for 1 day.
The hotel is excellent, there is Wi-Fi, good repair in the rooms, everything is clean, the staff is polite, always ready to help, the breakfast is gorgeous, a large selection of different dishes, all photos are attached. I recommend this hotel to everyone.
I liked the hotel very much, nice, modern, clean. Large rooms, new furniture, good food. I put 4 because there was no balcony in the room, and I smoke. Staff by 5 points.
Positive:
1) Close location to metro Nariman Narimanov (15 minutes approximately) or Ganjlik (20-25 minutes approximately). That is, you will get to all the sights quickly.
2) Cost. They took it through Yandex.Traveling for a week, the cheapest room came out about 27-28 (without a window, with a door to the next room). The only tax was not included ($ 1 per person per night). The tax was paid at the hotel.
3) Availability of breakfast. The breakfasts were not bad and at a convenient time. The only thing is that the breakfasts are monotonous. Also, a liter of water was put in the room every day for free.
4) Staff. The reception has excellent staff who speaks several languages and can give advice on establishments.
Minuses:
1) The corridors are dirty. It is best to make repairs, because these are ingrained stains.
2) Room cleaning. Constantly something was not reported, for example, they did not always give a towel for their feet.
3) Good audibility. Sometimes we woke up from the noise in the corridor or the screams of neighbors. Plus, one of the neighbors smoked, although it was forbidden.
4) There are excursions at the Reception. We ordered a tour to Gabala from them and asked for a Russian-speaking driver-guide. We were told that they had found a Russian speaker for us, and as a result it turned out that he almost did not speak Russian (he knew only a few basic phrases and words, but could not tell about the area). The tour cost about 11 thousand, in fact, it included only a transfer to the place. All tickets and food were paid for by us separately.
There is also a fitness room and a sauna, but we did not use them. There is also a car rental, which we did not need.
Great new city hotel! Delicious raschnoobraznye dishes. Daily cleaning. The rooms are spacious with sound insulation. Very good helpful service! Fed a cake at the check-out. 😋 A nice free addition: gym, sauna and Jacuzzi. I recommend it to everyone!
The hotel is located 15-20 minutes' walk from Nariman Narimanov metro station. It's not close to the city center (I decided to take a walk once, it turned out to be 1.40 minutes). About 25 minutes walk from the Center of Heydar Aliyev. The appearance of the hotel is not bad, the reception is beautiful. There are young guys at the reception, at least 3 every day, and one of them necessarily knows Russian, everyone knows English. The guys quickly solve all problems, answer all questions, help to orient themselves. Breakfast is not bad: scrambled eggs, sausages, vegetables, fruits, vegetables, cheeses, sausages, pastries, tea, coffee, juices.
The interior of the room is not bad, the water in the shower stagnates. There is a hair dryer. Three towels. Soap, gel and shampoo. But I was so unlucky or everyone, I don't know, the room was terribly smoky, a nightmare....Although officially the hotel does not smoke.
What's in the corridor with the floors - I don't know) Carpet in some spots on all floors.
The audibility is good. There are a lot of Arabs in the hotel, and they are very loud and it doesn't matter one or two in the morning. The bed is clean. Every day they cleaned up the garbage and put two bottles of water. There is a mini fridge and a safe.
The hotel itself seemed normal, but the walls were wildly thin, while we were there there was a situation, a group of people staged an orgy there until the morning, we lived on the top floor, the actions took place at 3. Audibility as in the first row. Keep this fact in mind if you are visiting with children
A wonderful hotel! Price - quality is on top! The breakfast included in the price is hearty and varied! Very friendly and helpful hotel staff! The room was cleaned every day, delivering a bottle of water per person! The hotel has a gym! I definitely recommend it!
I came to the wonderful city of Baku and decided to stay at the wonderful Diamond Hotel. I want to say a big thank you to Emin, Musa for good service and cook Ismail for good food! Also to the reception Huseyn for the help he provides.
Clean rooms, excellent room service, breakfasts beyond praise - a variety of everything. On the 1st floor there is a Jacuzzi, gym, hammam and sauna. Every day room cleaning, every day room water, gel, shampoo and toothpaste. Nariman Narimanova Metro Station is only 2 bus stops away. There is a transfer to the airport, the journey time is 15-20 minutes. Manager Walid is very hospitable and ready to serve guests. The kitchen is also ready to offer something beyond the current menu.
Everything is different in booking , it is written that there is a fitness room , a hamam , a delivery , a swimming pool and there is really nothing like that 😌
