The Dome Cathedral was built at the beginning of the XIII century and today has the status of the cathedral of the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church.
The organ of the Dome Cathedral is 25 meters high, and 124 registers are located on the console. The largest of the six bellows, with which air enters, measures 2.5 × 6 meters. 6718 metal and wooden pipes, ranging in length from 13 mm to 10 m and of various diameters, make the sound special, fantastically beautiful and unique... There are amazing organ music concerts and performances by solo vocalists and choirs. They are attended by masters of the highest class from Latvia, Russia and other European countries.

A beautiful cathedral. By the way, the largest cathedral in the Baltic States. I didn't understand where the name came from. On Wikipedia, I read the following - "Domus Dei" ("House of God") and "D.O.M." (short for Deo Optimo Maximo[en] — "To the All-Merciful Greatest God". Many people think that the cathedral is Catholic, but in fact belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia and is its main building. Although the cathedral was originally Catholic, of course.

an impressive building that stands in the center of the Latvian capital in the repair forests for a long time, so it was not possible to fully appreciate its beauty, but... you can still get inside, for example, to listen to a concert of organ music.
