An interesting place. With a flourish and pathos. There is a huge area around. However, the park is not very attractive - there are almost no trees. There are many new desert objects of capital construction of unknown purpose. However, this is typical for the regions of Uzbekistan: Urgench, Bukhara... along the routes from the airport on both sides, the first line of modern 2-5-storey deserted buildings, in the passages of the Moscow Railway, which show the usual old high-rise private houses, who knows what... a kind of showcase for "distinguished guests" and tourists.
A very interesting place, according to the history of Emir Timur, he built a tomb for himself in Shakhrisabs, there is even a cellar with an established grave. But, as a result, Tamerlane was buried in Samarkand. It is necessary to visit here, the 14th century is still the same! There is also a functioning mosque and a plane tree planted by Timur personally!
"History is the best teacher who has the worst students." A great place, I recommend everyone to read something about Tamerlane, well, at least Wikipedia, before visiting any historical place in this fabulous country.
In addition to the above, I can safely say that the best skullcaps and products in the Shahrizab style are sold here. Buy it here 🙏
