Oh! It's unforgettable. Perhaps this is the only place in Vitebsk where you do not want to return. Unless, of course, you travel through time and are eager to refresh your memory with an unobtrusive Soviet service. If you don't want to remember the smells and colors that have long gone into the past. This hotel is a medical college dorm. There is one kitchen per corridor. There are metal bathtubs that are squeezed underfoot and chipped toilets. There are no air conditioners. The restaurant is scolded by everyone who can still say something, and is not completely depressed. One tiny elevator for everyone. The stairs are of the Stalinist type, going down it you feel like in breeches and boots. The smoking room, of course, is outside. But such a wonderful place is right on the shore of the Western Dvina River. The hotel could be the business card of the city, but... it's too bulky for a hostel. It's too primitive for a hotel.
The hostel of the VSMU converted from a hotel. A good layout, although of a corridor type, but with amenities in the rooms. Of the disadvantages, it is not quite a fresh renovation, as well as furniture with bedding. It can't be said that it's completely bad. Rather, "not bad, but it can be better."
One of the best hotels I've been to. I stayed back in 2015, in August, but I only found it in the maps now. Apparently there was no time before. But the view is amazing. I lived on the 6th floor, every morning I looked at the Western Dvina and churches and monasteries and slept through the ringing of bells. It was great
This is a 5-star HOSTEL. Not to be confused with the hotel. If you're going, take the kettle. There is a TV in the room, a toilet and a shower/bath, a kitchen with splits, a refrigerator, a microwave in the hallway. They have an iron. Alas, you will not be booked a place, only upon arrival.
Cockroaches, that's the whole impression. No carpet, no curtains. Two beds, a table, a coffee table, two ottomans. I was only pleased with the view from the window.
Very old rooms with creaking floors, where whitewash fell in places and wallpaper was picked up. The shower stall in the bathroom was leaking.
There is no kettle in the room. Bed linen is changed once a week. The washing machines didn't work during my stay, but they should. The iron is 1 per dormitory and is taken on watch. The kitchen is one per floor, there are no microwaves.
Probably the best dormitory at VSMU, quiet, calm, downstairs there is a restaurant offering inexpensive set meals. The only disadvantage is the relatively remote location from the university
Terrible conditions at the entrance it was written that there would be no hot water for a while, but they took and turned off the water completely for two days and did not even warn! I didn't even have anything to flush after myself in the toilet, I apologize for the details. There is no hot water at all, despite the note that it is only until 17:00. During the three days of staying in this institution, the kidneys ached, a runny nose and sore throat appeared, since the water is icy, and you need to wash yourself somehow! There are no plates or pots or anything where you can even heat this water! The shower room is terrible, covered in mold, I had to buy cleaning products to somehow wash this fear of God from the fungus. I do not recommend this institution to anyone, animals are treated better
Not bad... Of the cons: it's a little cool, the iron is burnt only on watch. Towels are provided, linen is provided, refrigerators are in the shared kitchen, there is Wi-Fi.
It is located in the center, the train station, shops within walking distance. The rooms are normal, there is a hot shower, the bathroom is neatly renovated. There are double-glazed windows, comfortable beds, new bed linen.
The situation is just a collapse. If the room is still livable. That kitchen is a nightmare. I'm not sure if the plates are working, the view is scary. There is nowhere to eat. There is no dining room at the hostel. Go wherever you want.
TERRIBLE HOTEL! A dirty bathroom, the absence of an interior door, not fresh towels of dark brown color, and the worst thing is the protruding springs in the mattress, which made the whole night sleepless (room 613).
