In the summer, it's cool there in the heat, It's a pity that the park behind this palace was cut down and everything was tiled. And earlier there were thickets of trees and shrubs, people rested with pleasure. Now there is no park behind the palace, there are no people.

I've been evaluating it since Soviet times. I have not lived in Balkhash since 1981, and of course I have not been to the DKM. But when I lived there, the palace was great. I have been to many recreation centers in the Moscow region, where I have been living for a long time. Even in cities larger than Balkhash, there is no such thing, there is nothing even close to compare it with.
