We have been to the swamp in summer, and in golden autumn, and in the middle of March we visited - it remains only in winter now) the swamp impresses at any time of the year, each time it reveals a new side. This time we were completely alone for many tens of kilometers, and there was some kind of cosmic landscape and the sky seemed to be right above our heads) the flooring was a little too fast in spring: it hadn't been repaired yet, the boards sometimes fell right under our feet, and there was water from below and sometimes quite a lot of water)) but this little extreme did not spoil the impression. Yelna is 9 thousand years old ...as they say, before such a venerable age, we take off our hats, everything else is nonsense.
It seems like nothing supernatural, it doesn't take your breath away, but it's interesting. It was the second time already. Silence, tranquility, is not the most familiar nature for Belarus. According to the stories, the swamp was formed many thousands of years ago. We went up to the tower. We swam in swamp water. Miorsky Waterfall is a 40-minute drive from the marshes. Important!!! Before visiting, it is necessary to find out about the fire-hazardous situation in this area (there is an interactive map of the Ministry of Forestry on the Internet). If there is a ban on visiting forests, you cannot enter the swamp. A big fine.
It's a beautiful place. You can see rare birds. There are snakes. The trail is leaky in places. There is an observation deck at the end of the trail. There were places to relax a couple of times. There is a toilet, a gazebo, a place for a bonfire. Very quiet and peaceful. It is suitable for eco-recreation in nature. But it's short. I hope this project will develop)
