I have fallen in love with this place and returned to Eleos next day - fantastic price-affordable seafood Michelin restaurant. The only place in this city who doesn’t include tips to bill by own will and the only one who really earns them by excellent service. Nice panorama view. But be aware - kitchen closes @22:30.
One of my favorite restaurants in Istanbul, the most delicious grilled octopus I've ever tasted!!! A beautiful view opens from the windows and terraces of this wonderful restaurant!!!! I recommend definitely visiting!!!
Disgusting food and service. It's just tasteless, not salted, not peppered in a huge amount of oil, literally everything. The check was left for 13 thousand liras for six, so the waiter was also outraged at the end why we didn't leave a 10% tip. We still did not understand what kind of bag we were talking about. A typical "rakish" one, if you know what it's about. Tourists who are new to Istanbul clearly do not recommend this place.
An excellent institution, visited in April 2023 on the recommendation: clean, beautiful, tasty, inexpensive. A good view from the window, with an inconspicuous entrance door from the street, do not pass by)) Among the compliments: a 1.5 liter bottle of water on the table, a glass of aperitif for each, one hot snack, tea / coffee and dessert - it's all free, the receipt does not specify. Freshly cooked fish, delicious salads and snacks. It was difficult for us to choose good cuisine at an affordable price in Istanbul.
The view is excellent, the service is very caring, the food is questionable, the Elios salad is highly not recommended. Mussels feel like a seafood cocktail from the crossroads :) obviously, it does not pull on the meshlen from the point of view of cooking. The price is generally acceptable, but it may scare someone, the average check for two with a bottle of wine is around $ 120
It's hard to leave a review for the first time. In short: the food is great, the service is questionable. About everything in order:
The food is incredibly delicious, no doubt. A very good selection of seafood (fresh), which are really cooked at the highest level.
Service - the first thing you should pay attention to is the price. The price PER UNIT of production, that is, the same "1 piece squid" means 1 tentacle (by the way, you can't get enough of one). And so on, as a result, you will have a very large bill for an ordinary (in terms of quantity) dinner.
And a lot of other small, but not very pleasant nuances:
- as soon as you sit down, they will open the door and pour you some water. Yes, you will have to pay for it, and you were not even asked.
- the receipt will contain "kuver", translated as "service / appliances", that is, do you pay for the use of the service?
- as a result, the waiter will ask you how you want to pay the service fee (tip): by card or in cash?)))
To be honest, I don't really understand what kind of Turkish hospitality we are talking about.
