Embassy services:residence permit registration, short-term visa registration, long-term visa registration, replacing old long-term visa in the new passport, notary, documents delivery
Of course, there are oddities in the recording system. But the staff is friendly and courteous. All the girls are helping. And the guard is a good uncle. Harsh, of course, but fair. I was pleasantly surprised when I got there in real life. Just don't go there with a bad mood. There are people there too, as you treat them, so they will react to you. Many thanks from me to the embassy staff!
It's getting worse and worse. There is no hope that the Russian Embassy in Belarus will treat its citizens normally anymore.(( I have been living in Belarus for 23 years. I contact the Embassy only if necessary. I changed my passport. I managed to make an appointment only a month later. No one picks up the phone. I read that people somehow magically got through, I don't believe it!!! Rudeness in the consulate starts right with the guards. Citizens, like stray dogs, stand under a metal door. Although there is a waiting area in the room itself. Why people need to be pickled outside, in the rain and snow, is unclear. Some kind of sadistic pleasure, or something.(( In the window, the employee does not know anything, does not explain anything. Read on the website, he says. On the other hand, he knows perfectly well and willingly explains where and for how much money you can fill out a questionnaire in a commercial printing salon.)) In general, the fee is tin. You can only pay in cash at the information kiosk located in the consulate itself and only without change!!!! Rather, you can put the rest on your phone. Of course, no one can put this change on the phone, because there is no such function in the information kiosk.((( It is not possible to pay the fee through the cashier. But with a receipt from the information kiosk, you need to go to the cashier, where they put a stamp. Why would the consulate have a ticket office then? Well, it's not even over the edge, but "we thought the bottom, but there was a knock from below." The remaining money is credited to the embassy's account. Imagine in what quantities. How they spend this money is scary to even think about. Everyone, absolutely everyone, is trying to hand over their documents faster and get out of this creepy place as quickly as possible. I will not call it an embassy! The cashier is a champion in rudeness and aggression! In my presence, two girls came up and rang the bell: they said that one of them had lost her passport. So, they weren't even allowed on the territory. The guard said over the speakerphone that she had to bring two witnesses who would confirm that she (one of the girls who lost her Russian passport) is a Russian citizen. And that's it! Carl, that's it! It's good that they're in Belarus, and they'll be able to get home to Russia somehow. What if it was somewhere in another country? Where can I find two witnesses in a foreign country if, God forbid, I lose my passport? It becomes scary and embarrassing.(( I don't know what will happen in 10 years in this place , I hope that I won't need to go there before. I would not like to come there.
I lost my passport, and the embassy says come with a photocopy of your passport, the 2nd photo, and 2 adult witnesses, citizens of the Russian Federation, to confirm your citizenship. But where do you get them when you're there with your spouse and minor child? This is half the trouble, upon returning to the Russian Federation, the police (the guys are well done, they work perfectly) reported that the passport was found and it would be handed over to the Russian Embassy, since I had already left the Republic of Belarus. Further, when contacting the embassy, they say, come with the documents, take your passport. They don't send anything to Russia. Communicating with employees takes place in indifference and complete indifference to your problems, as well as by hanging up the phone if they don't like something when communicating. It's a terrible place, at our expense. God forbid to deal with them.
