We chose the hotel expecting a special feature - buildings, location and views. You were not mistaken! I liked the "antiquity" of the exterior and interior! The design of the room met the expectation! Proximity to the Grand Bazaar, Egyptian Bazaar and other locations we need! The room is equipped with everything you need: a kettle, bathroom amenities, a hairdryer and slippers. There are no bathrobes and toothbrushes - it didn't matter to us. Breakfast on the roof with a stunning view (photos and videos) is important to us! A friendly attitude is important!
Hot for breakfast - egg dishes: omelette, fried eggs, scramble. There is tea, coffee from the vending machine, pastries. The breakfast is delicious. You won't be hungry! Get ready to eat and spend money in cafes and restaurants in Istanbul. The administrators speak English. One is in Russian. Both are ready to help! There was a very friendly attitude towards us.
This hotel has left me with pleasant memories. Location at 5, the main Sultanahmet Square is 500 meters away. Of course, it is very crowded and narrow streets, but this did not upset us, because we were in Istanbul, and there it is the norm. The room was given a large one, there was enough space for 4. The receptionists were polite and responded to all our requests. I'm shooting a star for breakfast. They were meager and all four days I had to eat either an omelet or scrambled eggs. Sausage, cheese, tomato, cucumber, olives, olives and a couple of types of pastries for tea. Once the pie was mildewed, the oranges were rotten. But the view from the terrace window and the seagulls nearby lifted our spirits.
It is a good room for Istanbul, we had a family room for three, relative to the other rooms in this hotel it was large. The breakfasts are monotonous, but delicious omelette and coffee from the coffee machine. Friendly staff, always go to a meeting. The sound insulation is good or we were so lucky with the neighbors, but we lived in two different hotel rooms, on different floors and did not hear the neighbors
Spoiler (review for guys 24-30 years old)
A little data for those who read the review, focus on them, because if you are older or younger than me, then maybe my review will not seem objective to you.
Introductory: I am 25 years old, I have vacationed in all categories of hotels from threes to fives and guest houses. I've been in Istanbul for a week, I'm passing on my experience.
The review is as objective as possible, then it is dry and factual.
1️⃣Location - 4 out of 10. Sultanahmet district is too touristic. I advise you to look at more attractive areas - Galata, for example (all except Balat) . If we are considering this Hotel anyway, then although it is located not far from the transport routes, it still takes 10 minutes to walk to the nearest bus stop. In fact, the Hotel is a little far away, we are in Istanbul for nothing, I don't want to spend a lot of time on the way back there. Also, there are no clubs here, you will have to go to the Galata district to Istiklal, friends, do you really want to walk home 40 minutes to the hotel under the Shafe? Of course, you can take a ride on transport, but there are time limits. There are no shops in Sultanahmet, very few decent restaurants (matbah, sarnic and seven hils). The location, in my opinion, can be found better.
2️⃣ sound insulation - 2 out of 10. Friends, things are better in our oldest Khrushchevks. I can hear everything. I came home very tired, so I fell asleep right away. But, loud sex will be heard by everyone. For a romantic vacation, this hotel is definitely not suitable. As well as those who have a light sleep, they can hear a lot.
3️⃣ Breakfast - 2/10 . Seriously, I've tried all kinds of eggs from them. Actually, that's all. The sausage is disgusting, the juppy juice, the coffee is disgusting. After 4 days, I just couldn't and went to a restaurant and had breakfast too. Since there are some eggs, well, too much on vacation, I'll cook myself at home.
4️⃣ rooms - 6/10. Not bad for a threesome. But this is exactly the three after which you say to yourself, "now I will not go below the four." There are decent threes, this hotel is not one of them. The rooms are small, everything works, there is enough space, there is light. Basic needs are closed, but sound insulation is available.
5️⃣ Staff 9/10. Everything is fine here. For the three again. All the staff is responsive. Everything is fine at breakfast. Everything is fine at the reception too. They cleaned every day (I was out of season, I suspect that this is precisely because of this, because they wrote that they cleaned poorly) actually, the guys are all well done. For a threesome. Personally, I did not have enough service and English language skills from the staff, but these are my personal pens.
Resume. I strongly advise you not to go on vacation to this hotel. Sound insulation to hell, the location can be found better, the observation deck too. There are simply no breakfasts. The rooms are small and nondescript.(the beds are good by the way)
Personally, it took me a very long time to choose a hotel, and I flew here precisely believing that I had found the best. Both by reviews and by money. But I'm disappointed. Again, it may be nothing for the three, but after such hotels, you don't want to rest in the three anymore.
Breakfast is 2 out of 10. There is no choice. They bring it on a platter. There is no way to choose. The hotel is not 4 stars. The location is 5 out of 10.

Overall, a good hotel. The staff is polite and attentive. From the roof of the hotel where breakfast takes place, there is a beautiful view of the Bosphorus. The hotel is located in Sultanahmet district, close to many museums and interesting tourist spots.
