The first time I visited the only restaurant back then, and now the old one, the restaurant during the CROWN, I was left with a positive impression. We ordered a sightseeing tour, which included a visit to this restaurant. We were well fed and surprised with the ratio of service, price and quality of food. Everything has changed in 4 years. In November 2024, having already visited a new institution, they were left in complete shock. Similarly, we took a tour of the city, to show the Charm to the children and at the same time to eat at the famous institution. They were left not only disappointed, but shocked. We have already been brought to a new institution. The interior resembles a cheap dining room. Everything is very modest. We are used to, and this is already the standard, that in cafes and even more so in restaurants of medium and higher level, decent bathrooms. For some reason, this restaurant did not pay attention to it at all. Bathrooms are a horror.
The staff is still friendly and trying their best. This is the only advantage of the institution. Next is the food. It's hard to call it restaurant food. 2 strips of indistinct squid. Some kind of tortured shrimp. A dry fish, more like an overgrown sprat. A bunch of bones without pulp. The famous soup, which was previously rich, based on coconut milk with a good seafood content, now resembles white water without taste or smell.
They even managed to spoil the hummus.
The only possible excuse. Visiting this place in fact as part of an excursion is very budgetary and therefore it is possible to have such food for this money.
Although local people and companies come there.
A strange approach to tourists. Why, if someone can afford not to offer a normal meal with an additional fee, and not what is served for excursions with an advertisement for the FAMOUS SEAFOOD RESTAURANT.
I can assume that if you take a taxi and come separately, you can and can eat normally there (not a fact). But those who stay in good hotels definitely have nothing to do there. A complete disappointment. Wasted time. Absolutely not!

The seafood is fresh, I didn't like the conversation. He comes obsessively (I think the administrator takes the dishes from the cook, brings them to you, looks like a tall guy). After you have eaten, he brings you a receipt. And three times, he reminds me that this is without tips and service. He doesn't really want to leave when you count the cash, until you ask him a couple of times to leave for 5 minutes. I've been there twice... The second order was expensive, at $75. To which, I heard the answer when the check was brought (again by the same young man) that $ 25 was a normal tip. Naturally, they didn't give him, and for such impudence, there is a lot of tip for 5 dollars. By the way, for the 2nd time, we couldn't turn on the WiFi distribution. They sent a man who tried to enter the password on our 4 phones. In the end, it didn't work out. To which he deleted his access, on his phone, tried to reconnect... It didn't work out for him anymore... It was very funny)

A great place if you want to taste seafood! Soups are delicious! Fresh vegetables! If you choose a walk to the old town, I advise you to visit, there are tables on the roof overlooking the El Sahab Mosque. Very tasty! Fresh seafood that you choose yourself! Lobsters and shrimps by weight! Delicious tea and oriental sweets for dessert! Who wants to wash down the shrimp with beer - alas! There is absolutely no alcohol in the restaurant! And yes, tips are included in the bill! It is better to have local pounds, for convenience of calculation. But if anything, the bill will be in Arabic!) Bon appetit and I really recommend this restaurant!

The most terrible experiences of all 10 days in Charm. It's a disgusting place. Dirty and smelly toilet - in order for it to be at least slightly different from the station, there is always an employee with a bullet dispenser there as a "bonus" and spray it before and after a visitor's visit. The host is friendly, but a little intrusive, but the staff is the worst: they will never tell you the price of the dishes, but they will remind you how many times that tips are not included in the bill, and the cost of "service" is 20-25 dollars on top of the bill. It's funny that the administrator's favorite Russian word for parasite is "unlikely" - he constantly uses it as the word "good." The meaning became clear at the end when, after a bill for $ 100 for a very modest serving (spoiled shrimp and bony fish as a side dish to a very modest portion of lobster), he demanded a tip of $ 20 and asked if we would come tomorrow.
That's when I realized why he repeats "unlikely" so often :))
There is another restaurant closer to the old town and it is praised. I'm definitely not ready to recommend this place.

A visit to the "restaurant" was included in the tour. It's not a restaurant, as they call it here, it's probably a table. The impossible stink from the bathroom, which spreads to the whole establishment, because they don't wash there! Drinks were served in plastic cups, there was no tablecloth, there was just a napkin for hot food. I can't say that we had a delicious meal either. Because it doesn't taste good, so to speak. there was a soup made from sea products, fish, squid in batter (3 strips), 4 or 5 shrimps. In general, it's a disappointment from this place!

If you don't want to throw money away, don't visit this restaurant. This is probably the worst seafood restaurant in the world. It is terribly tasteless and the sauces in the dishes are tasteless water with flour. Mussels are very bitter, spaghetti had a burnt taste and seafood is the same name. They also took fresh fruits, which are also not tasty, and yes, a very important point is, if possible, they sell them for money, bring water, snacks, bread, and then they say pay. And in addition to the cost, you must pay 15% tax.We've never eaten anything worse in our lives.This is the first time I am writing a review. Because it's just a shock! And now a pleasant one! A kilometer from this restaurant, we visited the Arabbucks restaurant. Everything is very tasty! Especially seafood soup, fettuccine with seafood, fresh fruit. The tube in the fresh is large, it is convenient for the child to drink, the berries do not get stuck. The service is excellent, the prices are much lower and there is no tax. And the main indicator is always a lot of people.

We were at the restaurant as part of a sightseeing tour of Charm. Considering that the tour costs $ 20 per person (I wanted to stop at the Nefertiti oil store), lunch at this restaurant (included in the price of the tour) it turned out to be very good.
It looks very messy. The inside smells like a fish and meat store in the 80s.
First, they put strange saucers with sauces and tortillas on the table.
Everyone laughed that they had had lunch.
Then they brought a good milk soup, in each plate there was a piece of crab, fish. Then they brought a large dish, grilled fish, a couple of mussels, rings of squid fries, shrimp.
We were satisfied and satisfied.
I would hardly have gone here myself (the restaurants in the hotel are better). But considering that they were brought here as part of the tour and considering the cost, it's very good.

Fares is a favorite seafood restaurant in Charm. Large portions. Awesome tortillas from the oven. There are several of them in Charm. They are all very tasty. You can sit at an outdoor table. I give this point 4 points. We were in 2015, the year of the opening of this restaurant in Naam, we got a very arrogant and boorish waiter. There was a residue left. For this, minus one star. In other restaurants (in Hadaba and the Old Town), both the food and the service are great.

A visit to this "restaurant" was included in a guided tour purchased from the guide at the hotel. They bring people there by bus. That's why, I think, the quality suffers. Everything is tasteless and tasteless. And so, in order: first they served hot tortillas and porridge-like mixtures for an appetizer and water - like, then they brought a disgusting milk soup with seafood - no salt, no pepper, some kind of garbage, then they served a dish with assorted seafood (all portions for each person, and the portions are large, yes) - everything "dead" is overcooked, rubbery, bitter and also without spices. I definitely don't recommend this place. It's better to try your luck elsewhere.

I do not know with what level of knowledge of restaurants people write good reviews about this institution ... first of all, the price tag does not correspond to either the interior or the freshness of marine life. The soup is more or less normal. They bring water and tortillas without asking, and at the same time they say that it is a gift. Next, we ordered to try lobsters, they turned out to be old, they smelled like claws, I know, because before that we tried the freshest ones and even at a lower price. After the meals, they brought us a receipt, my husband decided to translate it into Russian and it turned out that water and tortillas were NOT a GIFT! Plus, grilled vegetables were added, which we did not order. The administrator started shouting at us, proving…As a result, I reduced the receipt. And he didn't apologize. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL!
