We took balik duryum twice here, it was very tasty. But there is almost always a huge queue here, in which, in addition to tourists, there are also many locals, who sometimes also buy a package of durums at a time. On the first day, we left, deciding that we would come back another time. On the second day, the queue was no less, and we decided to stand. We stood there for an hour. After that, we were nearby twice more, once there was the same queue, on the fourth we were lucky - there were literally 2-3 people, but while we were waiting for them, a queue of 10-15 people managed to line up behind us. In short, it's delicious here, but it's not worth queuing for an hour. If you're lucky and there aren't many people, it's definitely worth a try, if there's a queue, it's better to eat somewhere else without such a wait.
The second cool place I found is with a great Durum Balik. The first is in the Eminonu marina area, but not on the marina itself, but across the street.
There's often a queue here, because they really make it very tasty. If this is your first time trying this dish, I recommend that you stand in line. Of course, you shouldn't stand for an hour, but you can stand for 15 minutes.
The fish is fresh, there are no bones, spices are moderately added. I recommend taking it with Ayran. Although it's better to eat here with a local ayran 😉
There are several tables nearby where you can eat, but everything is packed comfortably, the bag is on the bottom, so many people just eat outside, standing.
I've seen a lot of young people - they really like it.
Although at a price of 200 lire it is slightly more expensive than it can be found for 140, but believe me, I have visited several such places and it is for 200 that Durum Balik is the most delicious. 👍
Very, very tasty!!!! A tender, juicy fish, without a single bone. A good fried tortilla. Spices in moderation. Sauces are diverse, all harmoniously combined with each other. And in general, the dish is worthy of the attention of fish lovers)))
This place just has to be on your list to visit! The dish is prepared here according to the original recipe of the founder, and it's really worth a try. The guys work fast, and the taste is incredible, so don't be afraid of the queue!
It is important to note that if you do not like spicy food, it is better to ask in advance not to add pepper, so that you do not have to write a negative review!
I especially liked that they use a lot of vegetables here, not like everywhere else, and it turns out juicy and rich. It's not just food, it's a real gastronomic delight!
I recommend it to everyone who appreciates the taste and national dishes!
An interesting landmark place with the traditional balyk ikmek dish. The mackerel is the freshest, delicious even for those who don't like fish very much. At least everyone should try. You'll find it one at a time, don't worry, it's moving very fast. The location is crooked, navigate one by one))
The best Balık Dürüm in Istanbul! I definitely recommend trying Perfectly toasted, the finest pita bread, spices, herbs and delicious fish, juicy and in sufficient volume, mmmm delicious
This place was located not far from the place where we lived and passing by we saw a big queue, we decided to try it too, we took balik duryum, it was very tasty and satisfying, the service was fast, it costs 200 lira, we returned here for a snack 3 more times during the rest
A very tasty and unusual combination of mackerel, pomegranate and spices. The word didn't stink of burnt fish at all, like in many other establishments. I only got one bone. Strangely enough, we were at lunch with, but there were no people at all. Which was very surprising. And I am absolutely delighted with the quality of the dishes and their taste. (There were no health problems after 8 hours))
A great place to taste Balik Ekmek (mackerel in lavash) in Istanbul.🔥🐟
It looks modest, but it is a very popular point in the city, where there are always long queues. There are several tables outside where you can sit and eat quietly.
It is inexpensive, the service is fast. The fish is really fresh and delicious cooked.
I recommend it!👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Very tasty fish! Actually, we were already full, but this store smelled so good that it was difficult to pass by. We didn't even go through — we took it with us. In two hours, the lavash was not even very soaked, nothing leaked, everything turned out to be very tasty.
You can wait for an order at a table, if you are ready, you are invited. If you take it there, and not with you, they will bring it to the table.
It's an inconspicuous street, but there's a constant queue. I really liked it, everything is in moderation, not too spicy and very tasty. I advise you to definitely try fish in lavash.
We came according to the reviews, at about 9 pm. There was no queue. And it's just gastronomic happiness! I didn't think fried mackerel was so great. No bones. Add vegetables seasoned with some kind of sauce or spices (not mayonnaise), and the lavash itself is spicy and toasted. This is umami ♥️
Even my husband, who doesn't really like fish, appreciated it.
Very tasty, unusual.it is mandatory to visit the establishment of this network.there is only one question why the fish shawarma was not adopted from us, given its popularity here.get in line early
I would like to return to Istanbul for the pleasure of this ekmek ballet! The first love happened in 2023. Already in 2024, the second meeting took place, and everything was just as great!!!
Very tasty. The queue may be large, but it moves very quickly, as soon as I enter the room, they are already handing over this shawarma with fish. Just a regular napkin and a wet one. The service is excellent.
First. Yandex incorrectly shows the location of this institution. By 50 meters. The smell will lead you to the place!
Here, for 200 lire, you can get well-peeled and fried mackerel in pita bread or a bun. I recommend choosing in lavash.
A young man who understands Russian well is standing at the acceptance of orders. And the address "bro" guarantees a special attitude towards you.
We warn you right away! If you do not tolerate spicy food, first think about whether it is worth ordering this dish.
Either wash it down with a Coke, or ask without pepper and sauce, as we did!
The whole cooking process will be in front of you.
You can take it with you, walk 200 meters and eat with a view of the Bosphorus on the Galataport embankment.
There was a queue for about 15 minutes, we got acquainted with the guests from Ufa in it) we exchanged impressions. Delicious, what to write here, an interesting bouquet of spices. There are chairs across the street, you can have a snack on them.
An interesting, authentic place.
Be prepared to stand in line for 20 minutes to 1 hour. Is the food worth it? For me, yes. But this is more of a beautiful tradition than a nutritional need!
I recommend.
Well, that's not bad. Mackerel fillets are fried in front of you, you can look through the glass. Doner balyk is a fish version of shawarma, it takes about 5 minutes to make. Inside is a mackerel fillet, a simple salad, drizzled with hot butter sauce. The fillet is not overdried. It is eaten in 2 minutes;))
Great place!!! Very juicy and delicious, mackerel fish in pita bread. The queue is much smaller on weekdays than on weekends. There are other places, the price is cheaper. But here it is already as a symbol of the street!!!
Delicious, I recommend it. We went purposefully, according to the recommendation, we had to look for it.
It may be easier and cheaper just to try it on the embankment in any institution.
This is the best fish in the lavash of Istanbul! We tried it in several places, compared it to make sure how delicious it is here. Every bite is a journey into a taste orgasm!
The guys work funny, friendly and organized. The queue is sometimes so long and there is nowhere to sit down that the desire to wait disappears. But trust me, it's worth it! Moreover, the service is fast.
I don't know who gives 5 stars here...
there's a dirtier and scarier place to look in Istanbul. The price is 200 lire, and on the "expensive" embankment - 160-180. The advantages are that they didn't get poisoned. The rest are just cons. Starting with what you have to eat standing up and ending with the taste.
The most mediocre shavukha with fish.
There was a very long queue, we stood for 20 minutes - we didn't even get close to the order, walked a few meters and saw the Ma Fish Wrap. It's very tasty there!
The visit to this place was left for another time
A very popular place . Yes, there is a big queue, the fish in the lavash is cooked with you)
Yes, and it is interesting to taste, but unfortunately this product did not suit us, we felt bad after it. In the following days, I couldn't even pass by because of the smell and aroma of spices.
Therefore , it doesn't seem bad , a popular dish, but as it turned out, it's not mine at all 😢
I got it. An unusual dish, a feature of Istanbul. It seems to me that those who come to Istanbul should definitely try balik durum. There are many video reviews on this dish on the Internet. Look, you'll understand what it's about.
It's not expensive and it's delicious, and it's worth trying the local street food. An analog of shawarma, only pieces of fish are wrapped in pita bread. It's quite acute
It's a cool place. Nearby is a similar restaurant with a high rating in Tripadvisor, which always has a long queue. And in this queue there is much less, but the horse mackerel is as tasty as in that one. A place to visit in Istanbul to understand the "oriental flavor".
A great place that conveys the atmosphere of Istanbul. The friendly host will twist the incomparable mackerel bowl. Spices, sharpness, sourness will complement the taste of fish with new colors. I recommend it for lovers of Oriental cuisine
Interesting. It's worth a try, but the place is a little different than on the map. However, a man met us at the corner and escorted us to a cafe near which there was a queue, then doubts were dispelled that we were going somewhere wrong))
A dirty shop advertised by someone for tourists who go there half way through Istanbul for disappointment (like me). Three, not 2, since balik duryum is edible
The unique Istanbul flavor, the queue, but fast, very tasty, takes a lot of locals. Nearby there are 3 or 4 more similar places, they are cleaner, more beautiful, but for some reason there are no people, I took 2 pieces, each 120 lira
During the week in Istanbul, we tried many different eateries of different price categories, but this one turned out to be the best! For 120 lire, a delicious shawarma with fish, although I do not like fish. Delicious sour sauce, salad and fish. You can sit inside (there are 3 tables for 4 people each on the 1st floor and there is a 2nd floor, you haven't been there), you can take it with you. We were very satisfied, I recommend it to everyone!
Delicious balyk-duryum. I'm not a fan of fish, but it's gone, it's delicious. The building where the institution was originally located in August 2024 is under renovation. To find it, you need to come to the original address and wait for the guide from the institution, who will take you to the right place.
We visited the most delicious Balyk-duryum in November-early December, there was no queue! The fish was delicious and fresh, the overall combination of fish and vegetables in lavash is unusual, juicy and very satisfying! We definitely recommend you to visit!
