We came on the recommendation of 2 different guides. There are a lot of people, we hoped it would be delicious.
I didn't like the service. I ordered lamb lula, they brought lamb shish kebab (a little harsh), when I pointed out the mistake, the waiter started arguing, did not offer to replace it.
We ordered khinkali with 5 pieces of cheese, one turned out to be with mushrooms.
The kettle of tea was waiting for an endless time, as well as water. The tea is clear and tasteless. In a glass, the color is just fresh, in a small glass after a long wait. Nothing has changed.
The service is very poor, the waiters are not welcoming at all.
The Borani restaurant next door is much tastier, super service.
I definitely won't go a second time.

It's a pity, but this is my first negative review in Baku. We went according to the recommendation for stuffed fish - Omul Liavangi, the menu says boneless. We knew that it took at least an hour to cook, so we ordered a tea set for two, and that's the only thing we liked, and it only got worse: khachapuri is dry and there's no juicy filling, as their menu claims, fish soup was served with meat broth, the waiter confessed, "it's just rarely ordered," the waiter said. and after 1 hour and 10 minutes, the fish arrived, the waiter explained again that we had fish with bones, this is a different recipe...in general, the dinner was ruined. And yes, be careful, the 10% service fee is included automatically in the receipt.
I can say one thing to justify the institution.: there are a lot of customers here and they mostly order saj or Shah pilaf. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing, but, I repeat, we went on the recommendation of the guide.

In 2 weeks of vacation in Baku, this is the first unsuccessful place. This restaurant is being upgraded by guides, so there are a lot of good reviews.
In fact, the food leaves much to be desired (3 of the 4 dishes were filled with vinegar and sour sauces, very small portions, and one dish had raw chestnuts). The tablecloths are so dirty that a smell has already appeared from them, I searched for its source all evening and was horrified when I realized what was the matter, they were not changed, they were just vacuumed. If you go to the bathroom, it's dark, very dirty, and you can see the corner of the kitchen, which is also dirty. In the second hall, where the guests are sitting, cleaning equipment is scattered in the corners. I regretted that I didn't go there right away, so I wouldn't have eaten there. This place spoils the reputation of Baku, everywhere we go, even outside the city, it was clean, beautiful and delicious!

Live music in the evenings from 19 to 21.
There are places outside in a cozy courtyard.
The waiters and hostesses speak Russian.
The bill includes 10% for the service (this is the practice in almost all restaurants).
We took lemonade from feijoa (1 liter), pilaf with lamb (500 g) and dolma (300 g). Matzoni is served with dolma. The food left a good impression.
36 monats were paid for everything (including the service fee). The price in all restaurants in this zone is the same plus/minus. If the price is lower somewhere, then the portion is likely to be smaller.

Not very much, although from the street, in a series of rows of catering establishments, it makes a pleasant impression.. Live music and a full house on the ground floor for large campaigns gave reason to believe that the place was good. We settled down at the windows overlooking the veranda of the first floor. The best thing that happened.We tasted pilaf with beef. An unusual serving of separate rice and meat. Everything is delicious, but is it pilaf? Lamb kebab is a thin fillet of three pieces. Also without complaints. I was surprised that there was only red pickled onions with chopped herbs on the plate as a barbecue accompaniment. The institution clearly focuses on the cash register as a priority. Side dishes, sauces, bread-to choose from, but for a dime. And a normal full-fledged dish already increases significantly in price compared to others, including neighboring establishments. The status of the restaurant, in my opinion, is only 10% mark-up and differs. The price of local draft beer is also unreasonable. The waiter is helpful, but speaks little Russian. It's always a hindrance in the restaurant. Thank God, there are many places with a kitchen.

I do not know where the rating of 4.9 comes from. It does not deserve more than three, the meat is tough, the dishes are not brought to taste. We were sitting on the ground floor next to the entrance doors, constantly smoking there and all the smoke and draught was drawn into the hall. An ambiguous impression. I definitely won't come here a second time.

A good location - a pedestrian center, but a little to the side, so without the hustle. A large selection of national dishes, very tasty. Friendly staff - and they will seat you as it is convenient for you, and they will tell you about the dishes, and show you how to eat properly, but unobtrusively and kindly. Cozy, without pathos. The young man sang in Azerbaijani - very beautifully, listened to, and, again, unobtrusively. I liked it, I recommend it!

For the first time, a guide brought us to this restaurant, everything was delicious and beautiful, the check was not small, but they left a good tip, although 10% of the service is included in the bill. After that, we came to this restaurant several more times, had dinner, left good tips, and once one of us was brought a menu by mistake for local residents, and not for visitors. The prices on the menu for local residents were 30-50% lower than on the menu for tourists. It was very insulting from this attitude, although they brought us a bottle of wine, tea and dessert as an apology. They didn't leave any more tips) they encountered the same thing at the bulbul fish restaurant, the day before. This is how the impression of hospitable Baku has deteriorated over the past two days. It's a shame.

One of the best restaurants we've had lunch at in two weeks. It is deliciously cooked, the dishes are served hot, the service is attentive. They gave 80 manats for two hot dishes, two salads and one soup and two beers. It's not cheap, but finally there are pleasant memories, unlike many other restaurants for tourists. We had lunch on the second floor - it's like in a museum, it's very atmospheric. We recommend it.

The kitchen, the service is excellent.
After the celebration, they were asked to pack the remaining groceries with them. What a surprise it was to find tortillas and 4 pieces of meat in containers at home.
The greens, pickles, cheese plate, etc. remained in the restaurant. After all, we paid for everything and gave excellent tips to both the cafe and the waiter personally

We were at breakfast on the last day. We took a set for 4 people (we were in five). The set is a classic Azerbaijani breakfast. They couldn't eat everything - there was too much of everything. The food was delicious, but like everywhere else, it was very greasy :))
The only negative is the coffee, it was not delicious.

This is not our first time in Baku. Even on the last trip, we visited this restaurant and decided to give it preference. I liked the food, the cultured, but optional staff. On weekends and in the evening, when a lot of visitors come, the quality of service "moves out". If the waiter is not reminded about the order 5 times, then you can not wait for it to be fulfilled. The restaurant itself is clean, if you wait for dinner or lunch, it will be delicious. The service is not "at the level".
