This place is awesome! Realizing that Istanbul is not exactly a beach resort, I was pleasantly surprised by the beach. Firstly, it is not expensive. 60 liras for August 2024 is 160 rubles . On weekdays we were there all day, there were a lot of people, but there were still free sunbeds. Secondly, a pleasant accessible menu. And to eat and drink - everything is there. The prices are not too wild. The Fatih area is much higher. I took a cold latte for 110 lire - 300 rubles. Thirdly, there are a huge number of changing rooms, showers, sinks with a mirror. A very pleasant, well-maintained place. Going out to sea is a little bit in algae, but they are soft and fluffy, somehow they do not bother. You walk up to the buoys up to your waist. Small. This beach is great for families with children. So you can only go into the water, dive-come up and go on lying on a sunbed or playing beach games. Cigarette butts in the sand are not about the fact that there is no cleaning, but about the fact that there is no culture. There are a lot of garbage cans around, everything can be cleaned up after yourself. He brought water and fruits with him, they were not taken away at the entrance. For 160 rubles - a pleasant, well-groomed and equipped place. If you swim, then you can come here :)
People, this is trash, not the beach…
Entrance is paid, according to the local "troika" only 60 liras, these are pennies, on other beaches from 600 liras and above.
We searched the bag for water and food, you can't bring your own, but that's okay. We went to buy water at the bar, there are giant queues, prices are high, the staff is rude.
We were on Tuesday, but there are a lot of people, 80 percent of the sunbeds are occupied, all the sunbeds are almost close to each other, umbrellas are very small and there are not everywhere. By the way, you do not need to pay extra for sun beds.
The main thing about the beach is water and sand, here both suck. The sand itself is good, fine, but it's all in the trash - gobies, wrappers, no one has ever sifted it!
The water is even worse, covered in algae. They swim in a thick layer near the coastline, it is not pleasant to enter. Do not think that after going further they will not be there, there are fewer of them, but they float in the water column even behind the buoys. By the way, the depth behind the buoys is chest deep. You can't swim much behind the buoys, a lifeguard swims on a jet ski and drives everyone back.
There is no rental of jet skis or other water activities there.
In general, we swam there once and went towards the park (aquarium), the guard shouted something after us for a long time, as I understand it, he threatened not to let us back in. There is a fairly large area of exactly the same beach before the stone breakwaters, so you can come to the park, go around the fence going into the sea and lie on the sand in proud solitude, although there will also be algae.
We went out on the rocks of the breakwaters and swam from them, it's really hard to go into the water from them.
Conclusion. Pros - easy to get to (from Florya metro station 5 min walk), not expensive entrance, at least for now, no need to pay extra for sun beds, no waves.
Cons: everything else.
But from my observations, I can say that Istanbul is not for a beach holiday, there are simply no normal beaches, others are even worse - the entrance is more expensive, expensive and not high-quality food, the Turks are trying to get everything past the cash register, there are pickpockets, garbage everywhere, it's better not to go to the toilets at all. On the beaches of the Black Sea, everything is the same, but there are waves, because of which they very often raise a red flag and do not even let their feet wet, and it is still half a day to get to these beaches.
A beautiful place to relax, a magnificent sunset, you can admire endlessly the sea and the seagulls that fly over the sea. There is a large embankment, although there are a lot of people, but there is enough space for everyone.
