In general, the most important thing is that you can buy / eat fish there, the waterfalls and the mountain river are still beautiful. Parking is paid, admission is free. Now there is a conditional overhaul and, apparently, it will be very long. The old equipment/buildings are worn out, apparently there is no place to get new ones. Thus, instead of 20 artificial ponds with huge fish, you will have to settle for 2 workers with small fish of 300 grams each. All the rest are dry, some have been destroyed by time. In general, it is worthy of a visit, but only the shadow of a bygone greatness is visible.
The place is not bad, the prices for trout are 150r / 100g (with cooking) about 3 fish / kg, there is no choice in the cafe, only fried trout in a pan on a fire in the grill, vegetables go to the trout (not much) you can additionally order a salad of vegetables, a choice of drinks (5-6 pieces) mainly tea and compotes. While cooking, you can walk (it's interesting, but for 20 minutes). The fish is allowed to be caught juicy and selected. There is not enough variety in the menu, well, at least fry fish on the grill with dill and grilled vegetables, for example, it feels like they have been cooking and cooking here for the last 50 years. I got 1 star for this, but the prices for trout are quite affordable, 250-300 rubles everywhere in the cafe
We were here twice with the children. We ate all kinds of fish, both fried and salted, to the brim. Very tasty trout. Prices are reasonable, everything is at home
without much pathos. Trout have been bred here for 90 years.
A small suggestion is to spend a little money on repairs and beautification of the territory.
The nature is fantastic, the mountain river is clean, the route to the grotto is easy with excellent picnic spots. The trout farm itself is abandoned, the fish are brought from Sukhum and released into the pool. Fish can be caught juicy, 150 rubles per 100 grams, this price includes cooking.
A huge territory! There is a beautifully arranged route, but the rest is abandoned, it's a pity. It's interesting to fish 😅 the child is impressed. Immediately it was cooked (within 35 minutes), of course it is delicious, but I expected it to be served with a side dish or vegetables, and they gave three slices of cucumber and a tomato For 1 kg of fish (about 3 pcs) 1500 rubles. While we were cooking fish, we walked to the bamboo grove.
Near the village of Otkhara, on the banks of the Mchyshta River or the Black River, there is a trout farm "Chernorechenskoye".
The river got its name from the large karst cave Mchishta, which was discovered in 1976. The entrance to the cave is located at an altitude of 80 meters above sea level, and a powerful underground stream of water flows from the depths of the cave – the Black River. The length of the river underground is 2,358 meters.
Now the trout farm is under reconstruction, admission is free, and parking is paid.
Inside, the reflection of present—day Abkhazia is ruin and desolation, or better yet, the triumph of nature over civilization.
It was founded in 1934. And the house, on the territory of the farm, once served for the reception of distinguished guests. The Mchyshtinsky cave complex is the largest monastery in Abkhazia of the XII century, originally created as a refuge from pirates. Medieval ascetic monks lived here, and unique cells remained from their life activities.
Of course, it is incredibly unfortunate that all this has been abandoned.. A huge farm has been restored and an excellent trout farm, which fed the entire USSR, has been restored.
Be sure to go deep into the caves, go down to the waterfall and take cold water with you) yes, yes, the water is clean and you can drink it. You can sit by and cool off on a hot day. And then lift your head up and you will see the ancient caves in which the locals hid during the attack). So far, they have not been fully explored, because it is almost impossible to get to them)
This is an amazing place. Beautiful, cozy but abandoned. Although probably other trout farms are even worse. But beauty saves everything. As well as everywhere in Abkhazia. You're fishing. It is immediately fried for you and with wine you go astral from beauty and deliciousness. Be sure to add this item to the program)
Just don't take squeamish people with you)))
Amazing nature all around! But few things are functioning, but the trout have been fed! You can see a rock monastery, a small bamboo grove, take a walk and breathe the delicious air!
You fish by yourself. It is prepared by employees of the trout farm. The fish is delicious, the gazebo is on the river bank. The atmosphere of a semi-abandoned Soviet economy. Figs have sprouted in abandoned buildings.
Very atmospheric place! Gorgeous views of the mountains and the monastery! The black River is very beautiful! Everything is arranged very interestingly! Wonderful people work here! Always attentive to tourists! You can feed the fish, you can catch it yourself and you will immediately be perfectly fried! And the wonderful Maya woman looks after the whole household! Only through her efforts, this farm managed to survive difficult times and is now holding up well! God grant her health!!
A beautiful and delicious place. Trout are bred in baths," From where they will be caught for you and immediately cooked on fire.
Nearby there is a walking area along the river and a rock monastery
A wonderful place! Gorgeous views of the river, mountains and the rocky monastery. You can eat delicious fresh trout caught in front of your eyes and fried by hospitable women. We have been coming to this place for two years. It is a pity that this huge farm is abandoned, although maybe this is its identity.
It's a very atmospheric and beautiful place. It's cool here even in the hottest weather, the most delicious trout and friendly workers. I love this place!
You can catch trout at 1000 rubles per kg and they will cook it for you there. Delicious, affordable and sooo hospitable. The bonus is the landscapes, all the bushes around are photographed. They brought home-made wine with them, I was driving - I caught the aftertaste at the hotel. I will be there, I will definitely repeat it!
Parking is paid and free (there is no difference), the staff is on the chill, but the food is delicious. The entourage is back in fashion now... (eco-council), I liked everything.
The farm itself consists of several metal containers. The concrete tanks were without fish , but with water . Not an expert, maybe it's not the season and it's necessary.
Lovely women cooked fish for us on the grill in a frying pan. 2 fish came out at 1 kg. The price includes sliced vegetables, bread and sauce. It was very tasty.
Beautiful nature.
A beautiful, fascinating place, how this trout farm thundered in Soviet times, Gorbachev's perestroika did its dirty work, the country was destroyed and what can we say about this beautiful corner called Abkhazia, God grant patience and strength to this people.
It is a pity that such places remain without any financial support . We were allowed to feed the fish) beautiful women who keep an eye on everything and cook the fish themselves if you want to eat, stay there 😻 I hope the new owner will put everything in order 🪄
This is beauty and relaxation. A magical, quiet and beautiful place. It would be possible to order fresh trout dishes on the spot, but I didn't want to eat the joy and beauty))
It's a very beautiful place. The farm was founded 90 years ago. Trout were bred. Now only 2 pools have fish, the rest are overgrown, faulty. After the farm there is a concrete path with steps along the river, not far away. The trail ends with a cliff and a small cave with water. Great view of the river, forest, rock. The ruins of the rocky monastery are visible. It is impossible to approach him, he is right on the rock.
In front of the trail there is a local cafe where they will cook trout, which you will take out of the pool with a net yourself. 1500r kg. Fried in a frying pan, served with vegetables, bread and sauce. The gazebo is right on the riverbank.
Take mosquito repellent!
Parking is 200p, entrance was free.
Well, there is no economy. It's been two years now.
And I really want to write about the women of this household for a long time.
Twice we came to eat trout and twice we came across outright rudeness on our part. Both times they refused to cook trout for us. That's the kind of hospitality(
Well, nature is beyond all estimates
The miracle is simple. It's a pity that people are not interested in tourists(
It's not the first time we've come here, of course, everything seems to be getting more modest every time, last time there were a lot of fish, and now only the pools are filled, but it's very beautiful, delicious and the children are happy that they caught the fish themselves.
Freshly caught, lovingly cooked trout....! It's a miracle. An elderly woman is very kind and attentive, helped my friend and me to catch in a net, it's fun
The nature is just wonderful. Walking, breathing, taking photos.
We haven't tried fish. I won't tell you about the kitchen.
They did not catch it. One of the bids was filled, the rest did not work. Of course, everything looks pathetic(.
On the way to the farm, look around, there are wild lemons and pomegranates😉
They charge 300 rubles per person for a fishing rod, and you need to pay 1000 rubles for each kilogram of catch. They said that in a cafe, 300m away from them, they would cook, we even cleaned it ourselves, while we waited for half an hour, but no one fried us, they shouted that they had a lot to do, orders were not in time, wait 🤣
An interesting place, original. A good tour that describes what and how in the production of trout and caviar. The participants feed the fish. Be sure to take hats and cover your hands, you can get burned in the sun, the whole tour takes place under the sun. You can get there by regular bus, the stop is nearby, do not get lost.
Nature is beautiful in this place. The water is an amazing color because of the black algae. It is a pity that such a treasure as a trout farm is in ruins. Although fish is sold and cafes eat with fresh fish. But it seems they are going to restore it. At the same time, a monumental concrete path with railings leads to the place where the rock monastery is best seen. Which is very convenient.
After visiting the Musser reserve with the dachas of the chiefs and having received a lot of positive emotions, we went to this trout farm, where, having failed to enter the territory, we received threats from workers "you can't leave in your car" in a rude form. People coming out shared that everything was abandoned and there was nothing to see. The positive mood was spoiled by the boorish behavior of the staff.
We went twice, the child became an avid fisherman) Anyone who wants fresh trout for a small amount of money (10 fish for 2000 rubles) is here for you. It takes about 20 minutes to drive from Gagra.
Parking is free. Fishing rod rental is 300 rubles, self-caught fish costs 1000 rubles / kg. If you catch it with a net, 1200 r / kg. We caught it ourselves, we cooked it ourselves. I'll come again.
We always stop by when we drive by: trout for girls, barbecue for men, everything fresh is delicious, coffee / ice cream is also there, and the main dish of the child is wifi! Sometimes we get to excessively loud live music - it can be quieter so that we can talk
You can go fishing once and eat freshly caught trout with your own hands. But there are some peculiarities. We didn't manage to catch a worm, but it went well for a crust of bread. Prices: fishing rod rental 100 rubles. Pick up the caught fish 1500 rubles / kg. If you are preparing fish caught by you 2000 rubles / kg + 50 rubles / kg to clean the fish (do not immediately warn about this. It seems like a trifle, but the sediment remained). The price tag in the cafe is a little too high.
It is currently under reconstruction. The buildings have already been renovated, and fish baths are next in line.
There are no fish in the river, only in 2 baths.
The path is being improved. Concrete and metal steps. But it has been significantly reduced.
The nature is beautiful.
The view of the monastery in the rock is still preserved, but the trees are growing.
The cafe has very, very, very tasty fried trout (525 rubles a piece for 300 grams comes out) and tangerine juice with pulp (300 rubles per liter). Not cloying. Or rather, without sugar, as from sweet tangerines. Refreshing.
They did not take money for the entrance, only for parking 100 rubles.
I can't call it a trout... palm-sized....well, maybe a little more, for those who ate trout, it will seem just dry tasteless meat....Trout tastes great, but not this one!
We visited this place for the first time 6 years ago , when trout were in abundance ..now there are almost no fish (not counting 10 fish)) but the beauty of nature and the place itself has not disappeared anywhere😍it has become even better in terms of laid steps and handrails! It has become even safer to walk over cliffs.
A very atmospheric and colorful place! It's like you've been in a fantasy movie! We were a couple of days before the opening, no one was there, we took a walk, the views are just gorgeous, a brain reboot!
We have been to this place more than once. The farm is quite old, with a history. Walking around the territory is a pleasure, because the nature is unrealistically beautiful. About the food: it's not a restaurant, it's a FARM. There is no service like in the restaurant, but we have not eaten anywhere else such delicious fish as Chernorechenskaya. They cook it on fire, so the fish smells special. And in the fresh air with such views, it seems even tastier
A wonderful place.
We came to see the monastery. We saw pictures on the Internet.
It turned out the entrance is through a trout farm.
Parking 100r. , entrance -250 per person, fish -1500 kg. We didn't pay for the entrance. Passed just like that.
Trout farming- there is nothing to see. I didn't feel like eating. But the path along the river is beautiful. And very well fortified. The money for the entrance, apparently, is taken to maintain this trail.
But the most unpleasant thing is that the monastery is so high that at the end of the trail it can only be seen through binoculars.
It is IMPOSSIBLE for a simple person to get there! And no one talks about it)
- follow the path, the monastery is there.
There's no point in coming here. A waste of time. Just looked at another pretty river.
Delivery to Sochi from IP Melkonyan AA is just a disaster. They blatantly lie about traffic jams. They blatantly lie that they will be in 15m, but they have to wait 2 hours
