We vacationed in Zanzibar at the Fan Beach Hotel in December 2020. A great place in the price-quality ratio. It is very cozy, Atmospheric and clean. Decent breakfast buffet. We had lunch and dinner in restaurants in neighboring villages. It was tastier there and a little cheaper. They did not take the local currency, they paid in dollars everywhere. Excellent pools in the hotel and the ocean are within walking distance. Since this is the east coast, there are tides and tides twice a day. But we had enough to swim a lot. The nature is amazing. The place is not a party place, for a quiet rest and relaxation.

The cannon hotel. I liked the pool more, which is in the back of the hotel, not with a view of the sea. In general, the atmosphere there is super cozy. The basik is cleaned constantly, there is no sand or debris in it. The hotel itself is also very good, there are places for leisure, books, chess, billiards, etc. But we probably only slept at the hotel, but we rented a car and drove around the city or the country, I don't know how it would be right.

A quiet hotel for family holidays. We stayed in bungalows far from the reception, where mostly Russians are settled. Fortunately, there were no noisy neighbors during our vacation, and we were able to fully immerse ourselves in a leisurely seal vacation. Of the advantages:
- nice pools. Cool location for Insta photos. Plus the second floor of the restaurant overlooking the ocean and the pool;
- green, well-groomed territory, except for the beach;
- free pair of sun loungers at each bungalow;
- regular cleaning and courteous staff, except for some employees;
- air conditioning;
- a beautiful pier with a cafe on it, and where you can take good photos for social media.networks;
Of the cons:
- there are no entertainment and attractions nearby. The only interesting place we could walk to was Kuze Cave. It's not very beautiful, but you can hide from the heat and swim. The entrance is of course paid.
Free table tennis, billiards and TV are available on site.
- very long serving of dishes. Especially for dinner. I had to wait at least 1 hour. One of the waitresses was remembered for a long time: short, big-eyed, with curly hair. She was constantly arguing with someone, proving something and actively gesticulating, serving the guests with undisguised disdain. We just called her "the witch"!
- strong tides. During our stay at the hotel, we swam in the ocean 3-4 times. In March, it was very warm and quite dirty.
- since there is a lot of vegetation on the territory, there are a lot of different animals. On the first day, monkeys came to visit us, and in the evenings a gecko crawled into the toilet. The most unpleasant moment was the fall of a hefty cockroach at night on his sleeping wife. It was remembered for a lifetime! Both of them experienced stress! My wife - from falling on the shoulder of a 4-centimeter cockroach; I - from her scream. At the same time, there is a canopy over the bed in the bungalow. But he didn't stop the cockroach; somehow he got past the perimeter of the canopy. After this incident, before going to bed, the translations in the ceiling and the places where the canopy was attached to the ceiling were tapped. We managed to find 3 more cockroaches.
And the rest of the hotel is not bad! I advise you!)
