SOS! SOS! SOS! The hotel is closed! Literally and figuratively. The stench in the rooms is terrible. We moved in the morning. The money was not returned. They raise the rating with their reviews. Even if you don't have a place to stay, don't set foot here. It is better to spend the night at the train station or at the airport.
.
+ 5-7 minutes walk to Istiklal (central promenade)
+ the receptionist is smiling
- that's where the advantages end! The rooms are old and shabby! The chandelier from the ceiling hangs on snot, cracks on the walls, the toilet door does not close, the rooms stink of paint, acetone and other stuff 24/7.It is impossible to find!
It's so cold in the rooms that I slept in a sweater and thermal pants. On the 2nd day, the battery broke down, I went to the reception and only 2 days after my reminders, they handed me a remote control from kondey, saying that the remote was broken and they were looking for a new one for me! Just epic fail!
The room has a kitchen all broken and warped, BUT for what?????? Of all the amenities in the kitchen, there is a sink and a refrigerator-everything! The refrigerator is not cold, for 5 days of stay, the ice That was inside did not freeze. Because of the cold in the room, I went to ask for a kettle to drink at least some hot Tea. But even here there turned out to be a big problem – they do not have kettles, the only kettle is in their kitchen. But, by the way, it is very difficult to find employees at the reception, so you can not even count on tea. Or calculate, but in the period from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. Once we returned in the evening, at around 21, the receptionist was leaving work, and we asked him to stay late to go up to the room for glasses and pour himself tea. In response, they heard that the kettle was broken. In fact, the kettle was working, but the employee probably already wanted to go home.
About the bathroom: the toilet lid was broken, there are supposed to be two shower heads in the shower, one of them does not work. The shower door is broken. The tiles are also all falling off in places. No towel rails are provided, therefore, during our entire stay, the towels in the room were always damp because they simply could not dry, by the way, no one brought us even new towels in five days.
The sink in the bathroom is super small and there is a shelf above it that does not allow you to bend down to wash, because all the time you will bang your head against this shelf, in this regard you have to wash diving under the shelf.
Breakfast as a separate art form. It was possible not to count on these breakfasts at all. What do they represent themselves? My surprise was when I saw that it was just the breakfasts collected by the reception staff on your tray. They are incongruous products: olives, Half sausage, Half cheese, four pieces of Chechil cheese, egg, tangerine, three slices of cucumber (not the freshest), Two Cherry tomatoes, and some honey, Three pieces of bread. The bread tasted different every day, sometimes it clearly seemed that it was fresh, and sometimes it seemed that it was yesterday. It turns out this way, I went down for trays of food and brought my cups, with the coffee I bought, and asked just to pour boiling water. At the end of my vacation, I found a grocery store right behind the hotel. It's small, but there's sausage and cheese and all sorts of different cookies. I went to buy myself a baguette cheese butter sausage and made more or less normal sandwiches for breakfast. There is a very nice guy working in this grocery store, who offered me toast with sausage and cheese every morning to feed me somehow.
Perhaps the only thing we were lucky with was the view from the window of the golden canal, and the fact that we were allowed to make a late check-out from the room, without additional charges.
The photos of this hotel on booking sites are very, very old, the hotel itself is just in terrible condition, apparently waiting until it completely falls into disrepair and that's only then to make repairs.
We paid about 13,000 rubles for accommodation, but it's not worth a penny of our money at all. By the way, for the first five days of our vacation we lived in the old town, for 9,000 rubles. in a great hotel, with great breakfasts and overlooking the Marmara Sea.I do not know what kind of enthusiast this hotel will suit because there is nothing nearby. The hotel itself is located in a quarter where there are only one shops selling lamps, there are no normal grocery stores, except for what I said, all cafes are only near the Galata Tower. There were other guests at the hotel, and I heard how dissatisfied everyone was, both with the level of accommodation in the room, and the breakfasts and the quality of the rooms themselves. The hotel is only suitable for one night if you go to the airport. I highly do not recommend this hotel to anyone. There is no elevator in the hotel, there is a spiral staircase, so the suitcases will have to be dragged up the stairs.
A friendly host, if you need to spend a few nights, is perfect. If the room is cold, you can ask to turn on the air conditioner. We were comfortable. Great view from the window!
