I am writing specifically about the Garage on the Mandarin. I come here often. I know well and have tried almost all the menus. Why: always a successful, unusual combination of flavors, beautiful design, fast delivery. There is a breakfast menu (try a salmon sandwich and cheesecakes), a lunch combo (borscht is excellent) and the usual menu - pizza and fish are well prepared. I'll attach a photo of one of the breakfasts. Menu by QR code. For those who are not comfortable with this format, they will bring the classic in a folder with leaflets. There are many places. There is always enough. Nearby there is a play center for children up to 7 +/- years old - you can leave them frolicking while adults communicate. The prices are good. I recommend

As an institution for the maintenance of norms and menus for adults, everything is fine, but there are questions for the children's menu. I ordered a portion of sausage + mashed potatoes + vegetables. As a result, the sausage was so-so. The puree is almost cold and with lumps. And the vegetables are completely tasteless, and this is in the midst when delicious ground cucumbers and tomatoes are sold on the market.
We concluded for ourselves that it is better not to go here with a child! (Because the child was left hungry)

We discovered this cafe a couple of years ago, it is located on the second floor of the shopping center, actually at the end of the trading floor. There is a children's play center nearby, which is very convenient for us with a small child: we did our shopping, had a delicious lunch and the child walked around.
The cuisine is very decent (we have favorite dishes), children's menu, they cook fast enough. Special thanks to the waiter Ilya, we always try to sit at his tables, a very pleasant and polite young man)))

The hodgepodge was not at all like a hodgepodge, there was no meat and sausage, lemon too, it tasted like pickle without barley.
There was a hair in the potato gnocchi. They don't know how to cook halvic raf. Separately coffee and separately 10 grams of halva is not a halvic raf, especially for 7 rubles.
The place has completely deteriorated, the prices are huge, but in fact it looks like a canteen!!!!!!!

I have always considered this place to be the most exemplary of the network (I compare Gomel and Minsk).
But on Monday evening, with an almost empty hall, you need to try to make boiled bacon instead of brisket in a dish of "Draniki with homemade sausage, brisket and mushroom machanka". I stayed hungry. The most disgusting thing that can be cooked is cooked.

I was here as part of the gastrofest, to be honest, Seth didn't come in. Very specific cuisine. The service is very poor, I thought for a long time about the number of stars. We had lunch at the Gomel Garage restaurant in the Mandarin shopping center at Rechitsky Prospekt. It was not the first time we had lunch there, but for the first time we were extremely pleasantly surprised. Such a thing is in the restaurant chain of Gomel (and we often visit different catering facilities) We couldn't remember. The waiter Julia turned out to be very friendly, unobtrusively pleasantly proactive in helping with the selection of dishes and the use of the electronic menu, very efficient, attentive, extremely polite. Seeing my disappointment that the fried eggs in the dish turned out to be not fried at all, as the menu and recipe implied, Julia reacted instantly and replaced the dish in the shortest possible time, saying at the same time that her main task was to make us happy. I was really pleased that there are, it turns out, such waiters. Julia is the best waiter. I think, in addition to encouraging customers, the restaurant administration should also encourage her. I wish there were more of them!!! About other things - we didn't get tired of waiting for the order, we didn't eat pizza, the atmosphere of the cafe for a snack, the coffee is ordinary, the interior is not impressive, we didn't see the children's room. I ordered 2 pizzas yesterday, I come home and I don't understand how this is so possible. The 1st pizza is Rustic, fillings are 0, there are 6 thin slices for the whole pizza, the pizza is dry, without sauce, I repeat, without filling, just pita bread and a couple of slices of potatoes.... Bottom line: the second pizza is dough and pieces of salad. As this institution still exists nowadays, when cooking such (no) pizzas. In order not to wait at an empty table, it is convenient to order nuggets, rustic potatoes, onion rings (a landmark of 5 minutes from the moment of order). Soft background music, slightly subdued lighting with bright table lighting.
The main disadvantage is that there are few paper menus, there is a card with a qr code, after scanning which you can view the menu on your phone.
There is a children's menu and a small playroom for children.
Of all the cafes, this is the best place to spend a pleasant evening and have a delicious dinner with your family.

There is a dressing with Dijon mustard in the salad, it is suitable for roast beef, although there is not enough meat there. Blueberries are a little off topic, because lettuce leaves are seasoned with balsamic and it is lost in the background. The burger is moderately fatty, there is no feeling of heaviness when eating, the tomato is juicy and with a bright taste, the combination is very good. As for the staff, I will say this: we need more training. If you did not warn, then you will be taken out all at once, and not according to the courses as it should be. I also want to note that the waiter duplicated the order, which is a plus, but he could not recommend the main dishes normally. In general, the ratio of price / quality and waiting time / service is four.
