A good hotel for a low price. Beautiful territory, Clean, pleasant, cleaning every day. A big plus is the convenient location, close to shops, fruit and souvenir market, cafes and restaurants for every taste. Its own pool, its own beach (but small and only 5 sun beds from the hotel), but nearby there is a large beach line of the city beach, where you can order a massage on the beach with a sunbed and a towel, and cafes and restaurants.
Another advantage is that the hotel in the Wangamat area is located north of the center of Pattaya, so there are no crowds of tourists and dirty beaches.
Great hotel. Only slightly "lived-in" was built very expensively-richly, but now it is a little "tired" - something has fallen off, something is dilapidated, something needs repair. On the plus side: excellent landscaping, spacious rooms, especially the 5th floor with a view of the Temple of Truth. Access to the beach is good, but when swimming, be sure to watch the tide: at low tide, at the bottom of the sandy, in general, beach, rocks overgrown with sharp shells are exposed at the bottom and you can seriously injure yourself. So swim in sneakers. The food is excellent both in quality and assortment. We had a rest in August 2024, it's not the season, but the weather is great, since most of the guests are Chinese - the sea and the pool are practically free before lunch. Sun loungers are only on site, there are no sun loungers on the beach (maybe it's not the season). There are plenty of sun loungers on site for everyone. The location allows you to walk to the Red Ant, fruit market (10 minutes walk, near a wonderful minimarket. The rooms are clean and cozy, the sound insulation is excellent.
We stayed at this hotel from 26.10 to 03.10.2024. Well, what can I say... We were "lucky" ..., the second pool was being renovated in the hotel, respectively, the access to the sea was almost blocked, and the view from the room overlooked the construction site, Of course it was fun... We went with the tour operator Biblio Globus and there were no warnings about repairs at the hotel on their part.
About the hotel itself: if you do not take into account the renovation work, then the hotel itself is not bad, there is its own beach, but at the time of our vacation, there was nothing but garbage. The beach is combined with the Modus Hotel, where there were several sun beds, but vacationers are not allowed there from the Cliff. Perhaps after the renovation it will be more civilized there. It is better not to book this hotel until December 2024, if you do not want to spoil your vacation. The hotel is located somewhat away from the center and from tuk-tuks. For some, this may be a plus. Do not believe the previous reviews that Terminal 21 shopping center is within walking distance - this is not true! It takes 1.5 hours to walk to the shopping center in the heat! It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the central Naklua Road, where tuk-tuks go, or call a Bolt taxi for 100 baht. There are cafes on the way to Naklua Road. The nearest one is a 15-minute walk from the hotel. There's also a fruit market. We had lunch at the Teremok Russian cafe, located near the Long Beach Hotel on the way. There are also shops Sevan Ilevan, Lotus and Top Daily, but they are all just a 15-minute walk from the Garden Cliff Hotel. Next to Garden Cliff, a 5-minute walk away, there is only a small Top Daily store and an exchange. You can take a tuk-tuk along Naklua to the Terminal 21 shopping center (10 min. drive), then to the Central Marina shopping center, Central Pattaya Shopping Center, Festival Plaza Shopping center and Volkin Street, Then tuk-tuks turn and go back along the second street to the Dolphins along Naklua and to the Temple of Truth.
And more... Maybe someone will be interested in this, the pool, where the rooms with access to the pool, is very shallow, literally mid-thigh deep, but you can get into the communal pool from it. During our stay at the hotel, mostly Chinese people rested, who left after breakfast and could swim freely in the pool during the day. The breakfasts at the hotel are not very good, they are more adapted to the Chinese, but scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurt were always available, so you will not stay hungry. I would not have gone to this hotel a second time and would have chosen a more accessible hotel to the center.
That's all I wanted to write. Maybe this will help someone make the right choice. In reality, the hotel is not 5 stars, but 3+, including meals.
